Philippiens 3
1 Enfin, mes frères, soyez joyeux dans le Seigneur; cela ne m'ennuie pas de vous répéter la même chose, et pour vous c'est plus sûr.
Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is really not irksome to me, but safe for you.
2 Attention aux chiens! attention aux mauvais ouvriers! attention à tous ces mutilés!
Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workmen, beware of the excision.
3 c'est nous qui sommes les vrais circoncis, nous qui adorons selon l'Esprit de Dieu, qui tirons notre gloire de Jésus-Christ et ne mettons pas notre confiance dans des distinctions charnelles;
For we are the circumcision, men who worship in spirit to God, and who boast in Christ Jesus, and not being confident in flesh.
4 et cependant je pourrais le faire si je le voulais! Des distinctions charnelles! j'en ai plus que personne,
Although (I having confidence also in flesh) if any other man seems to be confident in the flesh, I more:
5 moi, circoncis le huitième jour, de la race d'Israël, de la tribu de Benjamin, Hébreu fils d'Hébreux, pratiquant la Loi jusqu'à être Pharisien,
in circumcision the eighth day, of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; regarding law, a Pharisee;
6 acharné jusqu'à persécuter l'Église, irréprochable observateur des justices légales!
regarding zeal, persecuting the church; regarding the righteousness in law, having become blameless.
7 C'étaient là pour moi des titres; mais je suis arrivé, à cause du Christ, à les considérer comme rien.
But whatever was gain to me, these things I regarded loss because of the Christ.
8 Oui, tout cela n'est plus rien pour moi, quand je songe à toute l'importance qu'il y a à connaître Jésus-Christ, mon Seigneur. A cause de lui, j'ai tout perdu; pour gagner Christ, j'ai tenu tous mes avantages pour des ordures; pour m'unir à lui,
But indeed therefore I even consider all things to be loss because of things surpassing, of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because of whom I suffered the loss of all things, and consider them to be rubbish, so that I may gain Christ,
9 j'ai renoncé à ma justice légale; j'ai la justice que donne la foi en Christ, justice selon Dieu fondée sur la foi;
and be found in him, not having my righteousness, that from law, but that through Christ's faith-the righteousness from God based on faith-
10 mon but est de le connaître lui et toute la valeur de sa résurrection; mon but est de participer à ses souffrances; j'ai pris sur moi l'image de sa mort,
to know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the participation of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,
11 espérant atteindre, moi aussi, à la résurrection d'entre les morts!
if somehow I might attain to the resurrection of the dead.
12 Ce n'est pas que je me sois encore emparé du prix, que je sois déjà arrivé à la perfection; mais je le poursuis, espérant aussi m'en emparer, car Jésus-Christ s'est emparé de moi.
Not that I have already obtained or have already been fully perfected, but I press forward, if also I might seize upon that for which also I was seized by Christ Jesus.
13 Non, mes frères, je ne prétends pas, moi, m'être emparé du prix; seulement, j'oublie ce qui est en arrière, je m'élance vers ce qui est devant moi,
Brothers, I reckon myself not to have seized, but one thing, indeed forgetting the things behind, and reaching forward to the things ahead,
14 je cours au but, pour remporter le prix auquel Dieu m'a appelé d'en haut en Jésus-Christ.
I press forward toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Tels doivent être les sentiments des plus avancés; et si sur quelque détail vous en étiez d'un autre avis, Dieu vous l'expliquera.
As many therefore as are perfect should think this way. And if ye think anything differently, this also God will reveal to you.
16 Mais du point où nous sommes arrivés, allons toujours en avant.
However in what we have attained, to march by the same standard, to think the same way.
17 Imitez-moi, mes frères, et regardez ceux qui marchent en me prenant pour modèle.
Brothers, become fellow-imitators of me, and watch those who so walk, just as ye have us for an example.
18 Il y en a plusieurs dont je vous ai souvent parlé, — et je vous en reparle les larmes aux yeux, — qui marchent en ennemis de la croix du Christ.
For many walk, who (I told you often, and now also say while weeping) are enemies of the cross of Christ,
19 Ils finiront par la perdition; leur Dieu c'est leur ventre; ils se vantent de leurs infamies; ils ne pensent qu'aux choses de la terre.
whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, and the glory in their shame, who mind earthly things.
20 Pour nous, notre patrie est dans les cieux, d'où nous attendons, pour Sauveur, notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ;
For our citizenship exists in the heavens, from which also we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
21 il transformera notre misérable corps et le rendra semblable à son corps glorieux, car il possède le pouvoir de se rendre maître de tout.
who will transform the body of our lowliness, in order for it to become similar in form to the body of his glory, according to the working of his power even to subject all things to himself.
