Apocalypse 1
1 Révélation de Jésus-Christ, que Dieu lui a donnée pour montrer à Ses esclaves ce qui doit arriver au plus tôt, et qu'il a fait connaître en l'envoyant, par Son ange Son esclave, à Jean
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
2 qui a rendu témoignage à la parole de Dieu et au témoignage de Jésus-Christ en tout ce qu'il a vu.
who testified to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.
3 Heureux celui qui lit et ceux qui entendent les paroles de la prophétie et qui observent ce qui y est écrit, car le moment est proche!
Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep what is written in it, for the time is near.
4 Jean aux sept Églises qui sont en Asie: La grâce et la paix vous soient données par Celui qui est et qui était et qui doit venir, et par les sept esprits qui sont devant Son trône,
John to the seven churches in Asia: Grace to you and peace from God, who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne,
5 et par Jésus-Christ, lui qui est le témoin fidèle, le premier-né des morts et le chef des rois de la terre! A celui qui nous aime et qui nous a délivrés de nos péchés par son sang,
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and washed us from our sins with his blood
6 et il a fait pour nous un royaume, des prêtres pour Dieu son Père, à lui soit la gloire et la puissance pour les siècles. Amen! (aiōn g165)
and made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father—to him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
7 Voici, il vient avec les nuées, Et tout œil le verra, Et ceux entre autres qui l'ont transpercé. Et toutes les tribus de la terre se lamenteront à cause de lui. Oui! Amen!
Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all the tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. So shall it be! Amen.
8 « Je suis l'alpha et l'oméga », dit le Seigneur Dieu, Qui est et qui était et qui doit venir, Le Tout-Puissant.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
9 Moi, Jean, votre frère, qui ai part avec vous à la tribulation et au royaume et à la constance en Christ, je me suis trouvé dans l'île appelée Patmos, à cause de la parole de Dieu et du témoignage de Jésus.
I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation, kingdom, and endurance that are in Christ Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 Je me trouvai inspiré dans la journée dominicale, et j'entendis derrière moi une voix forte comme d'une trompette
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like that of a trumpet,
11 qui disait: « Ce que tu vois, écris-le dans un livre et envoie-le aux sept Églises, à Éphèse, et à Smyrne, et à Pergame, et à Thyatire, et à Sardes, et à Philadelphie, et à Laodicée. »
saying, “Write what yoʋ see in a book and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”
12 Et je me retournai pour voir la voix qui me parle, et après m'être retourné, je vis sept candélabres d'or,
Then I turned in that direction to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned, I saw seven golden lampstands,
13 et au milieu des candélabres un être semblable à un fils d'homme, revêtu d'une longue robe, et ceint sur ses mamelles d'une ceinture d'or.
and in the midst of the seven lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed with a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash wrapped around his chest.
14 Mais sa tête et ses cheveux étaient blancs comme de la laine blanche comme neige; et ses yeux étaient comme une flamme de feu;
His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire,
15 et ses pieds étaient semblables à de l'airain brillant, comme dans le foyer d'une fournaise; et sa voix était comme un bruit de grosses eaux;
his feet were like burnished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.
16 et il y avait dans sa main droite sept étoiles; et de sa bouche sortait un glaive acéré à deux tranchants; et son visage était comme le soleil quand il brille dans sa force.
In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in its strength.
17 Et lorsque je le vis, je tombai à ses pieds comme mort, et il posa sa main droite sur moi, en disant: « Ne crains point; c'est moi qui suis le premier-né et le dernier,
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. But he placed his right hand on me and said, “Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last,
19 Mets donc par écrit les choses que tu as vues et ce qu'elles sont, et celles qui doivent avoir lieu après celles-là,
Therefore write what yoʋ have seen, what is now and what will take place after this.
20 le mystère des sept étoiles que tu as vues dans ma main droite, et les sept candélabres d'or: les sept étoiles sont les anges des sept Églises, et les sept candélabres sont les sept Églises. »
This is the mystery of the seven stars that yoʋ saw in my right hand and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.
