Psaumes 95
1 Venez, élevons nos chants à l'Éternel, et nos cris d'allégresse à notre rocher sauveur!
O come, let us sing to the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
2 Présentons-nous à lui avec des louanges, offrons-lui nos joyeux cantiques.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise to him with psalms.
3 Car l'Éternel est un grand Dieu, et un Roi grand par dessus tous les dieux;
For the LORD [is] a great God, and a great King above all gods.
4 Il tient en sa main l'intérieur de la terre, et les trésors des montagnes sont à lui;
In his hand [are] the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills [is] his also.
5 la mer est à lui, Il l'a faite, et ses mains ont formé les continents.
The sea [is] his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry [land].
6 Venez, adorons et nous prosternons, et nous agenouillons devant l'Éternel, notre créateur!
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
7 Car Il est notre Dieu, et nous le peuple dont Il est le pasteur, le troupeau conduit par sa main. Puissiez-vous aujourd'hui écouter sa voix!
For he [is] our God; and we [are] the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To-day, if ye will hear his voice,
8 « N'endurcissez pas votre cœur, comme aux Eaux de la querelle, et dans les jours de la Tentation au désert,
Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, [and] as [in] the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9 où vos pères me tentèrent, et me mirent à l'épreuve, quoiqu'ils vissent mes hauts faits.
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
10 Quarante années j'eus cette race en dégoût, et je dis: « C'est un peuple qui a le cœur égaré, et qui ne connaît pas mes voies. »
Forty years long was I grieved with [this] generation, and said, It [is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
11 Là je fis serment dans ma colère qu'ils n'entreraient point dans mon repos. »
To whom I swore in my wrath, that they should not enter into my rest.
