Psaumes 62
1 Au maître chantre, préposé aux Jéduthunites. Cantique de David. Oui, c'est Dieu que mon âme attend en silence: de Lui me viendra le secours.
For the Leader; for Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Only for God doth my soul wait in stillness; from Him cometh my salvation.
2 Oui, Il est mon rocher et mon secours, mon boulevard: je ne serai pas ébranlé beaucoup.
He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower, I shall not be greatly moved.
3 Jusques à quand fondrez-vous sur un homme, voulez-vous tous le mettre en pièces, comme une cloison qui penche, un mur que l'on bat?
How long will ye set upon a man, that ye may slay him, all of you, as a leaning wall, a tottering fence?
4 Oui, ils méditent de le précipiter du faîte où il est, ils se plaisent à mentir; de leur bouche ils bénissent, et dans leur cœur ils maudissent. (Pause)
They only devise to thrust him down from his height, delighting in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. (Selah)
5 Oui, en Dieu, ô mon âme, espère en silence! car Il est pour moi la source de l'espérance.
Only for God wait thou in stillness, my soul; for from Him cometh my hope.
6 Oui, Il est mon rocher et mon secours, mon boulevard: je ne serai point ébranlé.
He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower, I shall not be moved.
7 Sur Dieu reposent mon salut et ma gloire; mon rocher protecteur, mon refuge est en Dieu.
Upon God resteth my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
8 Peuple, en Lui confiez-vous toujours, répandez devant Lui vos cœurs! Dieu est notre refuge!
Trust in Him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. (Selah)
9 Les hommes ne sont qu'un néant, et les mortels un mensonge; dans la balance ils s'élèvent, ils ne sont rien tous ensemble.
Men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie; if they be laid in the balances, they are together lighter than vanity.
10 Ne vous confiez point dans l'oppression, et dans la rapine ne mettez pas un vain espoir! Si les biens s'accroissent, n'en soyez point émus!
Trust not in oppression, and put not vain hope in robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart thereon.
11 Il est une chose que Dieu a dite, deux que j'ai ouïes, c'est que la puissance est à Dieu.
God hath spoken once, twice have I heard this: that strength belongeth unto God;
12 Et tu es aussi, Seigneur, le maître de la grâce; car tu rends à chacun selon ses œuvres.
Also unto Thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy; for Thou renderest to every man according to his work.
