Psaumes 141
1 Au maître chantre. De David. Éternel, je t'invoque: accours à mon aide! Entends ma voix, quand je t'invoque!
A Psalm of David. O Lord, I have cried to thee; hear me: attend to the voice of my supplication, when I cry to thee.
2 Que ma prière, comme l'encens, arrive jusqu'à toi, et l'élévation de mes mains, comme l'offrande du soir!
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; the lifting up of my hands [as] an evening sacrifice.
3 Mets, ô Éternel, une garde devant ma bouche, et surveille la porte de mes lèvres!
Set a watch, O Lord, on my mouth, and a strong door about by lips.
4 Ne laisse pas mon cœur pencher vers le mal, pour commettre des forfaits par impiété, avec les hommes artisans de crime, et pour que je ne goûte pas leurs friandises!
Incline not my heart to evil things, to employ pretexts for sins, with me who work iniquity: and I will not. let me not unite with their choice ones.
5 Que le Juste me frappe, c'est amour; qu'il me châtie, c'est de l'huile sur ma tête; que ma tête ne se refuse pas, si ses coups se répètent! Mais par mes prières je m'élève contre leur malice.
The righteous shall chasten me with mercy, and reprove me: but let not the oil of the sinner anoint my head: for yet shall my prayer also be in their pleasures.
6 Si du rocher leurs princes sont précipités, alors on ouïra comme mes paroles seront douces.
Their mighty ones have been swallowed up near the rock: they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.
7 Tels les éclats et les copeaux qui jonchent le sol, ainsi nos os furent semés à la bouche des Enfers. (Sheol h7585)
As a lump of earth is crushed upon the ground, our bones have been scattered by the [mouth of] the grave. (Sheol h7585)
8 Oui, Éternel, Seigneur, mes yeux se lèvent vers toi; j'ai recours à toi: ne laisse pas ma vie se perdre!
For mine eyes are to thee, O Lord God: I have hoped in thee; take not away my life.
9 Préserve-moi des pièges qu'ils me tendent, et des filets des méchants!
Keep me from the snare which they have set for me, and from the stumbling blocks of them that work iniquity.
10 Fais tomber les méchants dans leurs propres filets, et qu'en même temps j'échappe!
Sinners shall fall by their own net: I am alone until I shall escape.
