Psaumes 138

1 De David. Je veux Te louer de tout mon cœur, et te célébrer en la présence de Dieu;

[A Psalm] of David. I will give thee thanks with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praises unto thee.

2 me prosterner dans ton saint temple, et louer ton nom, car tu es bon et fidèle! Tu as donné à ta promesse des effets qui dépassent toute ta renommée.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and give thanks unto thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

3 Quand je criai, tu m'exauças, tu m'enhardis, donnant force à mon âme.

In the day that I called thou answeredst me, thou didst encourage me with strength in my soul.

4 Éternel, tous les rois de la terre te loueront, à l'ouïe des promesses sorties de ta bouche;

All the kings of the earth shall give thee thanks, O LORD, for they have heard the words of thy mouth.

5 et ils célébreront les voies de l'Etemel, car la gloire de l'Éternel est grande.

Yea, they shall sing of the ways of the LORD; for great is the glory of the LORD.

6 L'Éternel est élevé, Il découvre l'humble, et de loin Il reconnaît le superbe.

For though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the haughty he knoweth from afar.

7 Si je chemine au milieu des angoisses, tu me redonnes la vie, tu opposes ta main à la fureur de mes ennemis, et ta droite me délivre.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me; thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

8 L'Éternel agira pour moi jusques au bout. Seigneur, ta miséricorde est éternelle, ne laisse pas tomber les œuvres de tes mains!

The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, [endureth] for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.
