Psaumes 119
1 Heureux ceux dont la voie est innocente, qui marchent selon la loi de l'Éternel!
Happy are they who are upright in their way, Who walk in the law of the LORD!
2 Heureux ceux qui observent ses ordonnances, le cherchent de tout leur cœur,
Happy are they who observe his ordinances, And seek him with their whole heart;
3 ne commettent point le mal, et marchent dans ses voies!
Who also do no iniquity, But walk in his ways!
4 Tu as prescrit tes commandements, pour qu'on les garde avec soin!
Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
5 O! si mes voies étaient dirigées vers l'observation de tes commandements!
O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
6 Alors je ne serais pas confus, en considérant tous tes préceptes.
Then shall I not be put to shame, When I have respect to all thy commandments.
7 Je te louerai d'un cœur sincère, en apprenant tes justes lois.
I will praise thee in uprightness of heart, When I shall have learned thy righteous laws.
8 Je veux garder tes commandements: ne me laisse pas trop dans l'abandonnement! Beth.
I will keep thy statutes; Do not utterly forsake me!
9 Comment un jeune homme rendra-t-il sa voie pure? C'est en la surveillant d'après ta parole.
How shall a young man keep his way pure? By taking heed to it according to thy word.
10 Je te cherche de tout mon cœur: fais que je ne m'écarte pas de tes commandements!
With my whole heart have I sought thee; O let me not wander from thy commandments!
11 Je serre ta parole dans mon cœur, afin de ne point pécher contre toi.
Thy word have I hid in my heart, That I might not sin against thee.
12 Sois béni, ô Éternel! enseigne-moi tes décrets!
Blessed be thou, O LORD! O teach me thy statutes!
13 De mes lèvres j'énumère toutes les lois sorties de ta bouche.
With my lips do I declare All the precepts of thy mouth.
14 La voie que tracent tes préceptes, me donne autant de joie que tous les trésors.
In the way of thine ordinances I rejoice As much as in all riches.
15 Je veux méditer tes commandements, et avoir les yeux sur tes sentiers.
I meditate on thy precepts, And have respect unto thy ways.
16 Je fais mes délices de tes décrets, et je n'oublie point ta parole. Guimel.
I delight myself in thy statutes; I do not forget thy word.
17 Fais du bien à ton serviteur, pour que je vive, et que j'observe ta parole!
Deal kindly with thy servant, that I may live, And have regard to thy word!
18 Dessille mes yeux, pour que je découvre les merveilles cachées dans ta loi!
Open thou mine eyes, That I may behold wondrous things out of thy law!
19 Je suis un étranger sur la terre: ne me cèle pas tes commandements!
I am a stranger in the earth; O hide not thy precepts from me!
20 Mon âme se consume à désirer tes lois en tout temps.
My soul breaketh within me, On account of longing for thy judgments at all times.
21 Tu gourmandes les superbes, hommes maudits, qui s'écartent de tes commandements.
Thou rebukest the proud, the accursed, Who wander from thy commandments.
22 Décharge-moi de l'opprobre et du mépris, car j'observe tes ordonnances!
Remove from me reproach and contempt, For I have kept thine ordinances!
23 Des princes mêmes se sont concertés contre moi: ton serviteur médite tes statuts;
Princes sit and speak against me, But thy servant meditateth on thy statutes.
24 tes ordres sont aussi mes délices et mes conseillers. Daleth.
Thine ordinances are my delight; Yea, they are my counsellors.
25 Mon âme gît dans la poudre: rends-moi la vie selon ta promesse!
My soul cleaveth to the dust; O revive me, according to thy word!
26 Je te raconte mes voies, et tu m'exauces: enseigne-moi tes ordonnances!
I have declared my ways, and thou hast heard me; Teach me thy statutes!
27 Fais-moi découvrir la voie tracée par tes lois, et je veux approfondir tes merveilles!
Make me to understand the way of thy precepts! So will I meditate upon thy wonders.
28 Mon âme pleure de chagrin: relève-moi selon ta promesse!
My soul weepeth for trouble; O lift me up according to thy promise!
29 Tiens à distance de moi le chemin du mensonge, et accorde-moi la faveur de [connaître] ta loi!
Remove from me the way of falsehood, And graciously grant me thy law!
30 Je choisis le chemin de la vérité, et je me propose tes jugements.
I have chosen the way of truth, And set thy statutes before me.
31 Je m'attache à tes ordonnances: Éternel, ne me rends pas confus!
I cleave to thine ordinances; O LORD! let me not be put to shame!
32 Je courrai dans la voie de tes commandements, car tu ouvres mon cœur. Hé.
I will run in the way of thy commandments, When thou shalt enlarge my heart.
33 Éternel, indique-moi la voie de tes statuts, afin que je la tienne jusques au bout!
Teach me, O LORD! the way of thy statutes, That I may keep it to the end!
34 Donne-moi l'intelligence, pour que je garde ta loi, et que je l'observe de tout mon cœur!
Give me understanding, that I may keep thy law; That I may observe it with my whole heart!
35 Fais-moi suivre le sentier de tes préceptes, car j'en fais mes délices!
Cause me to tread in the path of thy commandments, For in it I have my delight.
36 Incline mon cœur vers tes préceptes, et non vers l'amour du gain!
Incline my heart to thine ordinances, And not to the love of gain!
37 Détourne mes yeux de regarder ce qui est vain, anime-moi sur tes sentiers!
Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity, And quicken me in thy law!
38 Envers ton serviteur remplis ta promesse, qui fut faite à la crainte qu'on a de toi!
Fulfill to thy servant thy promise, Which thou hast made to him who feareth thee!
39 Tiens loin de moi l'opprobre que je redoute, car tes jugements sont pleins de bonté!
Turn away the reproach which I fear; For thy judgments are good.
40 Voici, je porte mes désirs vers tes commandements, fais-moi vivre dans ta justice! Vav.
Behold, I have longed for thy precepts; O quicken thou me in thy righteousness!
41 Et que tes grâces arrivent jusqu'à moi, Éternel, ton secours, selon ta promesse!
Let thy mercies come to me, O LORD! And thy help according to thy promise!
42 afin que je puisse répondre à celui qui m'outrage; car je me confie en ta promesse.
So shall I be able to answer him that reproacheth me; For I trust in thy promise.
43 N'ôte jamais de ma bouche le langage de la vérité! car je suis dans l'attente de tes jugements.
O take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth! For I trust in thy judgments.
44 Et j'observerai ta loi constamment, à jamais, perpétuellement;
So shall I keep thy law continually, For ever and ever.
45 et je marcherai dans une voie spacieuse, car je cherche tes commandements.
I shall walk in a wide path; For I seek thy precepts.
46 Et je parlerai de ta loi en présence des rois, et je n'aurai point de honte.
I will speak of thine ordinances before kings, And will not be ashamed.
47 Et je ferai mes délices de tes commandements, que j'aime,
I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I love;
48 et je lèverai mes mains vers tes commandements que j'aime et je méditerai tes statuts. Zaïn.
I will lift up my hands to thy precepts, which I love; I will meditate on thy statutes.
49 Souviens-toi de ta promesse à ton serviteur, puisque tu m'as donné l'espérance!
Remember thy promise to thy servant, Because thou hast caused me to hope!
50 Voici ma consolation dans ma misère, c'est que ta promesse me redonne la vie.
This is my comfort in my affliction; For thy promise reviveth me.
51 Des superbes me tournent en grande dérision; de ta loi je ne dévie point.
The proud have had me greatly in derision; Yet have I not swerved from thy law.
52 Je me rappelle tes jugements de jadis, Éternel, et je me console.
I remember thy judgments of old, O LORD! And I comfort myself.
53 Un bouillant transport me saisit à la vue des impies, qui abandonnent ta loi.
Indignation burneth within me, On account of the wicked who forsake thy law.
54 Tes décrets me suggèrent des cantiques, dans le lieu de mon exil.
Thy statutes have been my song In the house of my pilgrimage.
55 La nuit je pense à ton nom, Éternel, et j'observe ta loi.
In the night, O LORD! I think of thy name, And keep thy law!
56 Voici ce qui m'est propre, c'est que je garde tes commandements. Cheth.
This have I as my own, That I keep thy precepts.
57 Mon partage, ô Éternel, je le dis, c'est de garder tes paroles.
Thou art my portion, O LORD! I have resolved that I will keep thy precepts.
58 Je cherche ta faveur de toute mon âme: sois-moi propice selon ta promesse!
I have sought thy favor with my whole heart; Be gracious unto me according to thy promise!
59 Je suis circonspect dans mes voies, et je retourne mes pas vers tes commandements.
I think on my ways, And turn my feet to thy statutes;
60 Je me hâte, et ne diffère point d'observer tes commandements.
I make haste, and delay not, To keep thy commandments.
61 Les pièges des impies m'enveloppent; je n'oublie point ta loi.
The snares of the wicked surround me; Yet do I not forget thy law.
62 Au milieu de la nuit, je me lève pour te louer des jugements de ta justice.
At midnight I rise to give thanks to thee On account of thy righteous judgments.
63 Je me lie avec tous ceux qui te craignent, et observent tes commandements.
I am the companion of all who fear thee, And who obey thy precepts.
64 La terre, ô Éternel, est pleine de ta grâce: enseigne-moi tes ordonnances! Theth.
The earth, O LORD! is full of thy goodness; O teach me thy statutes!
65 Tu fais du bien à ton serviteur, Éternel, selon ta promesse.
Thou dost bless thy servant, O LORD! According to thy promise!
66 Enseigne-moi la bonne science et la connaissance! car je crois en tes commandements.
Teach me sound judgment and knowledge! For I have faith in thy commandments.
67 Avant mon humiliation, je m'égarais; mais maintenant je prends garde à ta parole.
Before I was afflicted, I went astray; But now I keep thy word.
68 Tu es bon et bienfaisant; enseigne-moi tes statuts!
Thou art good and doest good; O teach me thy statutes!
69 Des superbes contre moi ourdissent l'astuce; moi, de tout mon cœur j'observe tes commandements.
The proud forge lies against me, But I keep thy precepts with my whole heart.
70 Leur cœur a l'insensibilité de la graisse, moi, je fais mes délices de ta loi.
Their heart is senseless like fat; But I delight in thy law.
71 Il m'est utile d'avoir été humilié, pour devenir docile à tes préceptes.
It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I might learn thy statutes.
72 La loi qui sort de ta bouche a plus de prix pour moi que des milliers d'or et d'argent. Jod.
The law of thy mouth is better to me Than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Tes mains m'ont créé, m'ont formé; donne-moi l'intelligence, pour apprendre tes statuts!
Thy hands have made and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments!
74 Ceux qui te craignent, me verront et se réjouiront, car j'espère dans tes promesses.
They who fear thee shall see me and rejoice, Because I trust in thy word.
75 Je sais, Éternel, que tes jugements sont justes, et que tu m'as affligé en demeurant fidèle.
I know, O LORD! that thy judgments are right, And that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
76 O que ta grâce soit ma consolation, selon ta promesse à ton serviteur!
O let thy loving-kindness be my comfort, According to thy promise to thy servant!
77 Envoie-moi ta miséricorde, pour que j'aie la vie! car ta loi fait mes délices.
Let thy tender mercies come to me, that I may live! For thy law is my delight.
78 Que les superbes soient confondus, car ils m'accablent gratuitement! pour moi, je médite tes commandements.
May the proud be put to shame, who wrong me without cause! But I will meditate on thy precepts.
79 Qu'ils reviennent à moi ceux qui te craignent, et ceux qui connaissent tes commandements!
Let those who fear thee turn unto me, And they that know thine ordinances!
80 Que mon cœur soit tout à tes ordonnances, afin que je ne sois pas confondu! Caph.
May my heart be perfect in thy statutes, That I may not be put to shame!
81 Mon âme languit après ton salut; je compte sur ta promesse.
My soul fainteth for thy salvation; In thy promise do I trust.
82 Mes yeux s'éteignent dans l'attente de ta promesse, je dis: Quand me consoleras-tu?
Mine eyes fail with looking for thy promise; When. say I, wilt thou comfort me?
83 Car je suis comme une outre fumée; je n'oublie point tes commandements.
Yea, I am become like a bottle in the smoke; Yet do I not forget thy statutes.
84 Quel est le nombre des jours de ton serviteur? Quand feras-tu justice de mes persécuteurs?
How many are the days of thy servant? When wilt thou execute judgment upon my persecutors?
85 Des orgueilleux creusent des fosses devant moi; ils n'agissent point d'après ta loi.
The proud have digged pits for me; They who do not regard thy law.
86 Tous tes commandements sont vrais: sans cause ils me persécutent; assiste-moi!
All thy commandments are faithful; They persecute me without cause; help thou me!
87 Ils m'ont presque détruit, après m'avoir terrassé; mais je n'abandonne point tes commandements,
They had almost consumed me from the earth; But I forsook not thy precepts.
88 Selon ta miséricorde rends-moi la vie, afin que j'observe les ordres de ta bouche! Lamed.
Quicken me according to thy loving-kindness, That I may keep the law of thy mouth!
89 Éternellement, Seigneur, ta parole subsiste dans les Cieux,
Thy word, O LORD! abideth for ever, Being established like the heavens;
90 d'âge en âge ta vérité demeure; tu as fondé la terre, et elle est stable;
Thy faithfulness endureth to all generations. Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
91 suivant tes lois tout subsiste aujourd'hui, car toutes choses te sont assujetties.
They continue to this day according to their ordinances; For they are all subject to thee.
92 Si ta loi n'eût fait mes délices, j'aurais péri dans ma misère.
Had not thy law been my delight, I should have perished in my affliction.
93 Jamais je n'oublierai tes commandements, car c'est par eux que tu me fais vivre.
I will never forget thy precepts; For by them thou revivest me.
94 Je suis à toi: donne-moi ton secours! car je cherche tes commandements.
I am thine, help me! For I seek thy precepts.
95 Les impies m'attendent pour me faire périr; je suis attentif à tes ordres.
The wicked lie in wait to destroy me; But I will have regard to thine ordinances.
96 A toute chose parfaite j'ai vu une fin; ta loi est infinieMem.
I have seen an end of all perfection; But thy law is exceeding broad.
97 Combien j'aime ta loi! elle est ma pensée de tous les jours.
O how I love thy law! It is my daily (meditation)
98 Tes préceptes me rendent plus sage que mes ennemis. car ils sont toujours avec moi.
Thou hast made me wiser than my enemies by thy precepts; For they are ever before me.
99 Je suis plus expert que tous mes maîtres, car tes ordonnances sont la pensée que j'ai;
I have more understanding than all my teachers; For thine ordinances are my (meditation)
100 je suis plus entendu que les vieillards, car j'observe tes commandements.
I have more wisdom than the ancients, Because I keep thy precepts.
101 Je tiens mon pied loin de tout mauvais sentier, afin que j'observe ta parole.
I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I might keep thy word.
102 Je ne m'écarte point de ta loi, car c'est toi qui m'instruis.
I depart not from thy statutes, For thou teachest me!
103 Que ta parole est douce à mon palais! elle l'est plus que le miel à ma bouche.
How sweet are thy words to my taste; Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 Dans tes commandements je puise l'intelligence, aussi je hais tous les sentiers du mensonge. Nun.
From thy precepts I learn wisdom; Therefore do I hate every false way.
105 Ta parole est une lampe devant mes pieds, et une lumière sur mon sentier.
Thy word is a lamp to my feet, And a light to my path.
106 J'ai fait le serment, et je le tiens, d'observer tes justes lois.
I have sworn, and I will perform it, That I will keep thy righteous statutes.
107 Je suis extrêmement affligé: Éternel, rends-moi la vie selon ta promesse!
I am exceedingly afflicted; Revive me, O LORD! according to thy word!
108 Agrée, Éternel, le libre hommage de ma bouche, et enseigne-moi tes lois!
Accept, O LORD! the free-will offering of my mouth, And teach me thy statutes!
109 Ma vie est toujours en péril; mais je n'oublie point ta loi.
My life is continually in my hand; Yet do I not forget thy law.
110 Des impies me tendent des pièges, mais je ne m'écarte point de tes ordres.
The wicked lay snares for me, Yet do I not go astray from thy precepts.
111 Je me suis pour toujours approprié tes préceptes car ils sont la joie de mon cœur.
I have made thine ordinances my possession for ever; For they are the joy of my heart.
112 J'ai plié mon cœur à la pratique de tes lois, pour jamais, jusqu'à la fin. Samech.
I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes, Always, —even to the end.
113 Je hais les hommes partagés, et j'aime ta loi.
I hate impious men, And thy law I do love.
114 Tu es mon abri et mon bouclier; j'attends ta promesse.
Thou art my hiding-place and my shield; In thy word I put my trust!
115 Eloignez-vous de moi, méchants, afin que je garde les commandements de mon Dieu!
Depart from me, ye evil-doers! For I will keep the commandments of my God.
116 Soutiens-moi selon ta promesse, afin que je vive, et ne me confonds point à cause de mon espoir!
Uphold me according to thy promise, that I may live; And let me not be ashamed of my hope!
117 Sois mon appui, pour que je sois sauvé, et que j'aie toujours les yeux sur tes commandements!
Do thou hold me up, and I shall be safe, And I will have respect to thy statutes continually!
118 Tu méprises tous ceux qui s'écartent de tes lois; car leur fraude n'est qu'illusion.
Thou castest off all who depart from thy laws; For their deceit is vain.
119 Tu enlèves comme des scories tous les impies de la terre; c'est pourquoi j'aime tes ordonnances.
Thou throwest away all the wicked of the earth, like dross; Therefore I love thine ordinances.
120 Tes terreurs font frissonner mon corps, et je redoute tes jugements. Aïn.
My flesh trembleth through fear of thee, And I am afraid of thy judgments.
121 J'ai pratiqué la loi, la justice: tu ne m'abandonneras pas à mes oppresseurs!
I have done justice and equity; O leave me not to mine oppressors.
122 Prends le parti de ton serviteur pour le sauver! que les superbes ne m'oppriment pas!
Be surety for thy servant for good; Let not the proud oppress me!
123 Mes yeux languissent après ton secours et ta juste promesse.
Mine eyes fail with looking for thy help, And for thy righteous promise.
124 Traite ton serviteur selon ta miséricorde, et enseigne-moi tes ordonnances!
Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy, And teach me thy statutes!
125 Je suis ton serviteur: donne-moi l'intelligence, pour que j'aie la science de tes commandements.
I am thy servant; give me understanding, That I may know thine ordinances!
126 Il est pour l'Éternel temps d'agir; ils ont enfreint ta loi.
It is time for thee, O LORD! to act; For men have made void thy law.
127 Aussi j'aime tes commandements, plus que l'or, et que l'or pur;
Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; Yea, above fine gold.
128 aussi je trouve justes tous tes commandements; et je hais tous les sentiers du mensonge. Pé.
Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; I hate every false way.
129 Tes commandements sont admirables; c'est pourquoi mon âme les garde.
Wonderful are thine ordinances; Therefore do I observe them.
130 La révélation de tes paroles éclaire, donne de l'intelligence aux simples.
The communication of thy precepts giveth light; It giveth understanding to the simple.
131 J'ouvre la bouche, je soupire; car je suis avide de tes commandements.
I open my mouth and pant: For I long for thy commandments.
132 Tourne tes regards sur moi, et prends pitié de moi, selon le droit de ceux qui aiment ton nom!
Look thou upon me, and be gracious to me, As is just to those who love thy name!
133 Affermis mes pas dans ta parole, et ne laisse aucun mal prendre empire sur moi!
Establish my footsteps in thy word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me!
134 Délivre-moi de l'oppression des hommes, afin que j'observe tes commandements!
Redeem me from the oppression of men, So will I keep thy precepts!
135 Fais luire ta face sur ton serviteur, et enseigne-moi tes ordonnances!
Let thy face shine on thy servant, And teach me thy statutes!
136 Des torrents d'eau coulent de mes yeux, parce que l'on n'observe pas ta loi. Tsadé.
Rivers of water run down mine eyes, Because men keep not thy law.
137 Tu es juste, Éternel, et tes jugements sont équitables;
Righteous art thou, O LORD! And just are thy judgments!
138 tu prescris la justice dans tes ordonnances, et une grande vérité.
Just are the ordinances which thou hast ordained, And altogether righteous.
139 Mon indignation me consume, de ce que mes ennemis oublient tes paroles.
My zeal consumeth me, Because my enemies forget thy word.
140 Ta parole est parfaitement pure, et ton serviteur l'aime.
Thy word is very pure, Therefore thy servant loveth it.
141 Je suis chétif et méprisé; je n'oublie point tes préceptes.
Of mean condition am I, and despised; Yet do I not forget thy precepts.
142 Ta justice est un droit éternel, et ta loi, une vérité.
Thy righteousness is everlasting righteousness, And thy law is truth.
143 La détresse et l'angoisse m'ont atteint; tes commandements sont mon délice.
Trouble and anguish have taken hold of me, But thy laws are my delight.
144 La justice de tes ordonnances est éternelle; donne-moi l'intelligence, afin que je vive! Quoph.
The justice of thine ordinances is everlasting; Give me understanding, and I shall live!
145 Je t'invoque de tout mon cœur, exauce-moi, Éternel afin que j'observe tes ordonnances!
I cry to thee with my whole heart; Hear me, O LORD! that I may keep thy statutes.
146 Je t'invoque: aide-moi, afin que je garde tes commandements!
I cry unto thee; save me, And I will observe thine ordinances.
147 Je devance l'aurore et je crie; j'attends ta promesse.
I come before the dawn with my prayer; I trust in thy promise!
148 Avant les veilles j'ouvre déjà les yeux, pour méditer ta parole.
My eyes anticipate the night-watches, That I may meditate upon thy promise.
149 Entends ma voix selon ta miséricorde! Éternel, selon ta justice donne-moi la vie!
Hear my voice according to thy loving-kindness; O LORD! revive me according to thy mercy!
150 Ils s'approchent ceux qui poursuivent le mal, ils se tiennent loin de ta loi;
Near are they whose aim is mischief; They are far from thy law;
151 mais tu es proche, Éternel, et tous tes commandements sont vérité.
Yet thou art near, O LORD! And all thy commandments are truth!
152 Dès longtemps je sais par tes décrets que pour l'éternité tu les as arrêtés. Resch.
Long have I known concerning thine ordinances, That thou hast founded them for ever.
153 Vois ma misère, et me délivre! car je n'oublie point ta loi.
Look upon my affliction, and deliver me! For I do not forget thy law.
154 Soutiens ma querelle, et me rachète! selon ta promesse donne-moi la vie!
Maintain my cause, and redeem me; Revive me according to thy promise!
155 Le salut est loin des impies; car ils ne cherchent point tes ordonnances.
Salvation is far from the wicked, Because they seek not thy statutes.
156 Tes compassions sont grandes, Éternel; donne-moi la vie selon tes décrets!
Great is thy compassion, O LORD! Revive thou me according to thine equity!
157 Mes persécuteurs et mes oppresseurs sont nombreux; je n'ai point dévié de tes commandements.
Many are my persecutors and my enemies, Yet do I not depart from thine ordinances.
158 Je vois les infidèles, et j'en ai de l'horreur; ils n'observent point ta parole.
I behold the transgressors, and am grieved Because they regard not thy word.
159 Considère que j'aime tes commandements: Éternel, selon ta miséricorde donne-moi la vie!
Behold, how I love thy precepts! O LORD! revive me according to thy loving-kindness!
160 Le sommaire de ta parole, c'est vérité, et toutes tes justes lois sont éternelles. Schin.
The whole of thy word is truth, And all thy righteous judgments endure for ever.
161 Des princes me persécutent sans cause; mais mon cœur ne craint que tes paroles.
Princes have persecuted me without cause; But my heart standeth in awe of thy word.
162 Je me réjouis de ta parole, comme celui qui trouve un grand butin.
I rejoice in thy word, As one that hath found great spoil.
163 Je hais, je déteste le mensonge; j'aime ta loi.
I hate and abhor lying, And thy law do I love.
164 Sept fois le jour je te célèbre, à cause de tes justes lois.
Seven times a day do I praise thee On account of thy righteous judgments.
165 Ils ont une grande paix ceux qui aiment la loi, pour eux il n'y a point de traverses.
Great peace have they who love thy law, And no evil shall befall them.

O LORD! I wait for thy salvation, And keep thy commandments!

169 Que mes cris aient accès près de toi, Éternel! selon ta promesse donne-moi l'intelligence!
Let my prayer come near before thee, O LORD! According to thy promise, give me understanding!
170 Que ma prière arrive devant toi! selon ta promesse sauve-moi!
Let my supplication come before thee; O deliver me according to thy promise!
171 Que mes lèvres épanchent la louange! car tu m'enseignes tous tes commandements!
My lips shall pour forth praise; For thou teachest me thy statutes.
172 Que ma langue célèbre ta parole! car toutes tes lois sont justes.
My tongue shall sing of thy word; For all thy commandments are right.
173 Que ta main me soit en aide! car j'ai fait choix de tes commandements.
Let thy hand be my help; For I have chosen thy precepts!
174 Je suis désireux de ton secours, Éternel, et ta loi fait mes délices.
I long for thy salvation, O LORD! And thy law is my delight!
175 Que mon âme vive, et qu'elle te loue! et de tes jugements donne-moi le secours!
Let me live, and I will praise thee; Let thy judgments help me!
176 Je suis errant, comme une brebis perdue; cherche ton serviteur! car je n'oublie pas tes commandements.
I wander like a lost sheep; seek thy servant, For I do not forget thy commandments!
