Psaumes 103
1 De David. Mon âme, bénis l'Éternel, et que tout ce qui est en moi, bénisse son saint nom!
[A Psalm] of David. Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all [that is] within me, [bless] his holy name.
2 Mon âme, bénis l'Éternel, et n'oublie point tous ses bienfaits!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his praises:
3 Il pardonne toute ton iniquité; Il guérit toutes tes maladies;
who forgives all your transgressions, who heals all your diseases;
4 Il rachète ta vie du tombeau; Il te couronne de grâce et de miséricorde;
who redeems your life from corruption; who crowns you with mercy and compassion;
5 Il rassasie de biens la fleur de ton âge, et, comme l'aigle, Il te fait rajeunir.
who satisfies your desire with good things: [so that] your youth shall be renewed like [that] of the eagle.
6 L'Éternel rend la justice, et Il fait droit à tous les opprimés.
The Lord executes mercy and judgment for all that are injured.
7 Il découvrit ses voies à Moïse, et aux enfants d'Israël ses hauts faits.
He made known his ways to Moses, his will to the children of Israel.
8 L'Éternel est miséricordieux et clément, lent à s'irriter, et riche en amour.
The Lord is compassionate and pitiful, longsuffering, and full of mercy.
9 Il n'est pas toujours accusateur, et son ressentiment n'est pas éternel.
He will not be always angry; neither will he be wrathful for ever.
10 Il ne nous traita point suivant nos péchés, et ne nous paya point le salaire de nos crimes;
He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor recompensed us according to our iniquities.
11 car autant le Ciel s'élève au-dessus de la terre, autant sa grâce fut immense pour ceux qui le craignent.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, the Lord has [so] increased his mercy toward them that fear him.
12 Autant le Levant est éloigné du Couchant, autant Il a mis nos iniquités à distance de nous.
As far as the east is from the west, [so far] has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 Comme un père a compassion de ses enfants, ainsi l'Éternel eut compassion de ceux qui le craignent.
As a father pities [his] children, the Lord pities them that fear him.
14 Car Il connaît notre origine, Il se rappelle que nous sommes poudre.
For he knows our frame: remember that we are dust.
15 L'homme!… ses jours sont comme l'herbe; il fleurit comme une fleur des champs;
[As for] man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so shall he flourish.
16 qu'un vent passe sur elle, c'en est fait, et son sol même ne la reconnaît plus.
For the wind passes over it, and it shall not be; and it shall know its place no more.
17 La grâce de l'Éternel de l'éternité à l'éternité demeure sur ceux qui le craignent, et sa justice, sur les enfants de leurs enfants,
But the mercy of the Lord is from generation to generation upon them that fear him, and his righteousness to children's children;
18 sur ceux qui gardent son alliance, et se rappellent ses commandements, pour les accomplir.
to them that keep his covenant, and remember his commandments to do them.
19 L'Éternel a établi son trône dans les Cieux, et son empire domine toutes choses.
The Lord has prepared his throne in the heaven; and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Bénissez l'Éternel, vous ses anges, héros puissants, qui exécutez sa parole, dociles à la voix de sa parole!
Bless the Lord, all you his angels, mighty in strength, who perform his bidding, [ready] to listen to the voice of his words.
21 Bénissez l'Éternel, vous toutes ses armées, vous ses ministres, qui faites sa volonté!
Bless the Lord, all you his hosts; [you] ministers of his that do his will.
22 Bénissez l'Éternel, vous toutes ses œuvres, dans tous les lieux de sa souveraineté! Mon âme, bénis l'Éternel!
Bless the Lord, all his works, in every place of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.
