1 Stations des enfants d'Israël sortis du pays d'Egypte, formant leurs divisions sous la conduite de Moïse et d'Aaron.
These were the movements of the people of Israel after they left the land of Egypt by their armed groups under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.
2 Moïse mit par écrit leurs marches selon leurs stations sur l'ordre de l'Éternel, et voici les stations qu'ils firent dans leurs marches.
Moses wrote down the places from where they left to where they went, as commanded by Yahweh. These were their movements, departure after departure.
3 Ils partirent de Raemsès dans le premier mois, le quinzième jour du premier mois; le lendemain de la Pâque, les enfants d'Israël sortirent la main haute, aux yeux de toute l'Egypte,
They traveled from Rameses during the first month, leaving on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the morning after the Passover, the people of Israel left openly, in the sight of all the Egyptians.
4 tandis que les Égyptiens donnaient la sépulture à ceux que l'Éternel avait frappés parmi eux, à tous les premiers-nés; et l'Éternel exerçait ses jugements sur leurs dieux.
This happened while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, those whom Yahweh had killed among them, for he also inflicted punishment on their gods.
5 Étant donc partis de Raemsès, ils vinrent camper à Succoth.
The people of Israel set out from Rameses and camped at Succoth.
6 Et partis de Succoth ils vinrent camper à Etham situé à l'extrémité du désert.
They set out from Succoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the wilderness.
7 Et partis d'Etham ils revinrent sur Pi-Hahiroth située vis-à-vis de Baal-Tsephon et campèrent devant Migdol.
They set out from Etham and turned back to Pi Hahiroth, which is opposite Baal Zephon, where they camped opposite Migdol.
8 Et partis de Hahiroth ils arrivèrent au travers de la mer dans le désert, et firent trois journées de marche dans le désert d'Etham et campèrent à Mara.
Then they set out from opposite Pi Hahiroth and passed through the middle of the sea into the wilderness. They traveled three days' journey into the wilderness of Etham and camped at Marah.
9 Et partis de Mara ils parvinrent à Elim, or à Elim il y avait douze sources d'eau et soixante-dix palmiers; et ils y campèrent.
They set out from Marah and arrived at Elim. At Elim were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees. That is where they camped.
10 Et partis d'Elim ils vinrent camper vers la Mer aux algues.
They set out from Elim and camped by the Sea of Reeds.

Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor at Yahweh's command and died there in the fortieth year after the people of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.
39 (or Aaron était âgé de cent vingt-trois ans, lorsqu'il mourut sur le mont Hor).
Aaron was a 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 Et le Cananéen, Roi de Arad, établi dans le Midi du pays de Canaan entendit parler de l'arrivée des enfants d'Israël.
The Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the southern wilderness in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the people of Israel.
41 Et étant partis du mont Hor ils vinrent camper à Tsalmona.
They set out from Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.
42 Et partis de Tsalmona ils vinrent camper à Punon.
They set out from Zalmonah and camped at Punon.
43 Et partis de Punon ils vinrent camper à Oboth.
They set out from Punon and camped at Oboth.

50 Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse dans les plaines de Moab sur le Jourdain près de Jéricho, en ces termes:
Yahweh spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho and said,
51 Parle aux enfants d'Israël et dis-leur: Quand après le passage du Jourdain vous serez entrés dans le pays de Canaan,
“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, 'When you cross over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
52 vous chasserez tous les habitants du pays devant vous, détruirez toutes leurs [pierres] figurées et détruirez toutes leurs images de fonte et raserez tous leurs tertres,
then you must drive out all the land's inhabitants before you. You must destroy all their carved figures. You must destroy all their cast figures and demolish all their high places.
53 et vous occuperez le pays et vous y établirez, car je vous ai donné ce pays pour en prendre possession.
You must take possession of the land and settle in it, because I have given you the land to possess.
54 Et vous vous partagerez le pays au sort selon vos familles; aux plus nombreux vous adjugerez un lot plus étendu; aux moins nombreux, un lot plus restreint; l'emplacement échu par le sort à quelqu'un, c'est ce qu'il aura; vous vous le partagerez d'après vos Tribus patriarcales.
You must inherit the land by lot, according to each clan. To the larger clans you must give a larger share of land, and to the smaller clans you must give a smaller share of land. Wherever the lot falls to each clan, that land will belong to it. You will inherit the land according to your ancestors' tribes.
55 Mais si vous ne chassez pas devant vous les habitants du pays, ceux d'entre eux que vous laisserez, deviendront des épines pour vos yeux, et des aiguillons dans vos flancs et ils vous mettront à la gêne dans le pays où vous serez établis.
But if you do not drive out the land's inhabitants before you, then the people you allow to stay will become like objects in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will make your lives difficult in the land where you settle.
56 Et il arrivera que ce que j'avais résolu de leur faire, c'est à vous que je le ferai.
Then it will happen that what I now intend to do to those people, I will do also to you.'”
