Luc 19
1 Puis étant entré, il traversait Jéricho,
And having entered, He was passing through Jericho,
2 et voici, un homme nommé Zachée, qui lui-même était chef des publicains et qui était riche,
and behold, a man, by name called Zaccheus, and he was a chief tax collector, and he was rich,
3 cherchait à voir quel était Jésus, et il ne pouvait y parvenir à cause de la multitude, car il était de petite taille.
and he was seeking to see Jesus, who He is, and was not able for the multitude, because he was small in stature,
4 Et ayant couru en avant il monta sur un sycomore, afin de le voir, parce qu'il devait passer par là.
and having run forward before, he went up on a sycamore, that he may see Him, because through that [way] He was about to pass by.
5 Et lorsqu'il fut arrivé à cet endroit, Jésus levant les yeux lui dit: « Zachée, hâte-toi de descendre; car il faut que je demeure aujourd'hui dans ta maison. »
And as Jesus came up to the place, having looked up, He saw him and said to him, “Zaccheus, having hurried, come down, for it is necessary for Me to remain in your house today”;
6 Et il se hâta de descendre, et il le reçut avec joie.
and he having hurried came down, and received Him rejoicing;
7 Et tous à cette vue murmuraient, en disant: « Il est allé se loger chez un pécheur. »
and having seen [it], they were all murmuring, saying, “He went in to lodge with a sinful man!”
8 Cependant Zachée, se tenant debout, dit au seigneur: « Voici, seigneur, je donne aux pauvres la moitié de ce qui m'appartient, et si j'ai extorqué quelque chose à quelqu'un, je l'en dédommage au quadruple. »
And Zaccheus having stood, said to the LORD, “Behold, half of my goods, Lord, I give to the poor, and if I took by false accusation anything of anyone, I give back fourfold.”
9 Or Jésus lui dit: « Aujourd'hui le salut s'est réalisé pour cette maison, parce que lui aussi est un fils d'Abraham;
And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation came to this house, inasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham;
10 car le fils de l'homme est venu chercher et sauver ce qui était perdu. »
for the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
11 Pendant qu'ils écoutaient ces choses, il prononça une nouvelle parabole, parce qu'il approchait de Jérusalem et qu'eux-mêmes s'imaginaient que le royaume de Dieu allait être immédiatement inauguré.
And while they are hearing these things, having added He spoke an allegory, because of His being near to Jerusalem, and of their thinking that the Kingdom of God is immediately about to appear.
12 Il dit donc: « Un homme de grande naissance se rendit dans un pays éloigné, pour s'y mettre en possession d'un royaume et pour revenir.
He therefore said, “A certain man of birth went on to a far country, to take to himself a kingdom, and to return,
13 Or ayant appelé dix de ses esclaves, il leur donna dix mines, et leur dit: « Faites-les valoir jusques à ce que je revienne. »
and having called ten servants of his own, he gave ten minas to them and said to them, Do business—until I come;
14 Mais ses concitoyens le haïssaient, et ils envoyèrent une ambassade après lui pour dire: « Nous ne voulons pas que celui-ci règne sur nous. »
and his citizens were hating him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, We do not wish this one to reign over us.
15 Et il advint, lorsqu'il fut de retour, après s'être mis en possession du royaume, qu'il manda auprès de lui ces esclaves auxquels il avait donné l'argent, afin de savoir comment ils l'avaient fait valoir.
And it came to pass, on his coming back, having taken the kingdom, that he commanded these servants to be called to him, to whom he gave the money, that he might know what anyone had done in business.
16 Or le premier se présenta en disant: « Seigneur, ta mine a rapporté dix mines. »
And the first came near, saying, Lord, your mina gained ten minas;
17 Et il lui dit: « C'est bien, bon esclave, comme tu as été fidèle en peu de chose, aie autorité sur dix villes. »
and he said to him, Well done, good servant, because you became faithful in a very little, be having authority over ten cities.
18 Et le second vint en disant: « Seigneur, ta mine a produit cinq mines, »
And the second came, saying, Lord, your mina made five minas;
19 Et il dit aussi à celui-ci: « Toi aussi, préside sur cinq villes. »
and he also said to this one, And you, become [ruler] over five cities.
20 Et l'autre vint en disant: « Seigneur, voici ta mine que j'avais mise dans un linge;
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, your mina, that I had lying away in a napkin;
21 car je te craignais, parce que tu es un homme sévère, tu retires ce que tu n'as pas déposé, et tu moissonnes ce que tu n'as pas semé. »
for I was afraid of you, because you are an austere man; you take up what you did not lay down, and reap what you did not sow.
22 Mais il lui dit: « C'est sur ta propre déclaration que je te juge, mauvais esclave; tu savais que je suis un homme sévère, retirant ce que je n'ai pas déposé et moissonnant ce que je n'ai pas semé;
And he says to him, Out of your mouth I will judge you, evil servant: you knew that I am an austere man, taking up what I did not lay down, and reaping what I did not sow!
23 et pourquoi n'as-tu pas placé mon argent dans une banque, et à mon retour je l'aurais retiré avec intérêt? »
And why did you not give my money to the bank, and I, having come, might have received it with interest?
24 Puis il dit à ceux qui étaient là: « Enlevez-lui la mine et donnez-la à celui qui a les dix mines. »
And to those standing by he said, Take the mina from him, and give to him having the ten minas—
25 Et ils lui dirent: « Seigneur, il a dix mines. »
(and they said to him, Lord, he has ten minas)—
26 Je vous déclare qu'à quiconque a, il sera donné, mais à celui qui n'a pas, même ce qu'il a lui sera enlevé.
for I say to you that to everyone having will be given, and from him not having, also what he has will be taken from him,
27 Cependant amenez ici ces ennemis de ma personne, qui n'ont pas voulu que je régnasse sur eux, et égorgez-les en ma présence. »
but those my enemies, who did not wish me to reign over them, bring here and slay before me.”
28 Et après avoir dit ces choses, il continuait à marcher en avant, montant vers Jérusalem.
And having said these things, He went on before, going up to Jerusalem.
29 Et il advint, lorsqu'il approcha du Bethsphagé et de Béthanie, vers la montagne appelée le Bois d'oliviers qu'il dépêcha deux des disciples, en disant:
And it came to pass, as He came near to Bethphage and Bethany, to that called the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples,
30 « Allez dans le village qui est en face; en y entrant vous trouverez un ânon attaché, sur lequel aucun homme ne s'est jamais assis; et après l'avoir détaché amenez-le;
having said, “Go away into the village in front of [you], in which, entering in, you will find a colt bound, on which no one of men ever sat, having loosed it, bring [it];
31 et si quelqu'un vous demande: « Pourquoi le détachez-vous? » vous répondrez ainsi: « C'est parce que le seigneur en a besoin. »
and if anyone questions you, Why do you loose [it]? Thus you will say to him: The LORD has need of it.”
32 Or ceux qui étaient dépêchés étant partis, trouvèrent les choses comme il les leur avait dites.
And those sent, having gone away, found according as He said to them,
33 Mais, pendant qu'ils détachaient l'ânon, les propriétaires de celui-ci leur dirent: « Pourquoi détachez-vous cet ânon? »
and while they are loosing the colt, its owners said to them, “Why do you loose the colt?”
34 Or ils dirent: « C'est parce que le seigneur en a besoin. »
And they said, “The LORD has need of it”;
35 Et ils l'amenèrent à Jésus, et après avoir jeté leurs manteaux sur l'ânon, ils firent monter Jésus.
and they brought it to Jesus, and having cast their garments on the colt, they sat Jesus on it.
36 Or pendant qu'il s'acheminait, ils étendaient leurs manteaux sur le chemin;
And as He is going, they were spreading their garments in the way,
37 mais comme déjà il approchait, à la descente du mont des Oliviers, toute la multitude des disciples dans la joie se mit à louer Dieu à voix haute pour tous les miracles qu'ils avaient vus, en disant:
and as He is coming near now, at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began rejoicing to praise God with a great voice for all the mighty works they had seen,
38 « Béni soit le roi qui vient au nom du Seigneur! « Paix dans le ciel et gloire dans les lieux très-hauts! »
saying, “Blessed [is] the King coming in the Name of the LORD; peace in Heaven, and glory in the highest!”
39 Et quelques-uns des pharisiens de la foule lui dirent: « Maître, réprimande tes disciples! »
And certain of the Pharisees from the multitude said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples”;
40 Et il répliqua: « Je vous déclare que si ceux-ci viennent à se taire, les pierres crieront. »
and He answering said to them, “I say to you that if these will be silent, the stones will cry out!”
41 Et lorsqu'il fut proche, voyant la ville il pleura sur elle, en disant:
And when He came near, having seen the city, He wept over it,
42 « Que n'as-tu, toi aussi, connu, en ce jour-ci, ce qui procure la paix! Mais maintenant cela a été caché à tes yeux,
saying, “If you knew, even you, at least in this your day, the things for your peace; but now they were hid from your eyes.
43 car des jours viendront pour ta ruine, et tes ennemis élèveront un retranchement autour de toi, et ils te bloqueront, et ils te presseront de toutes parts,
Because days will come on you, and your enemies will cast a rampart around you, and surround you around, and press you on every side,
44 et ils te détruiront ainsi que tes enfants au dedans de toi, et ils ne laisseront pas en toi pierre sur pierre, parce que tu n'as pas connu le moment où tu as été visitée. »
and lay you low, and your children within you, and they will not leave in you a stone on a stone, because you did not know the time of your inspection.”
45 Et étant entré dans le temple il commença par chasser les trafiquants,
And having entered into the temple, He began to cast forth those selling in it, and those buying,
46 en leur disant: « Il est écrit: Et Ma maison sera Une maison de prière, mais vous, vous en avez fait une caverne de brigands. »
saying to them, “It has been written, My house is a house of prayer—but you made it a den of robbers.”
47 Et il enseignait chaque jour dans le temple; mais les grands prêtres et les scribes cherchaient à le perdre, ainsi que les principaux du peuple,
And He was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests and the scribes were seeking to destroy Him—also the chiefs of the people—
48 et ils ne savaient pas quel parti prendre, car tout le peuple s'attachait à lui pour l'entendre,
and they were not finding what they will do, for all the people were hanging on Him, hearing Him.
