Lévitique 4
1 Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:
And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
2 Parle aux enfants d'Israël et dis: Lorsqu'une personne aura péché par mégarde et fait l'une des choses interdites par l'Éternel, desquelles il faut s'abstenir,
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any person do sin through ignorance against any of the prohibitions of the Lord which ought not to be done, and do any of them;
3 si c'est le Prêtre revêtu de l'onction qui a péché et mis par là le peuple en état de délit, pour le péché qu'il a commis, il offrira à l'Éternel un jeune taureau sans défaut en expiation.
If the anointed priest do sin to bring guiltiness on the people: then shall he bring near for his sin, which he hath committed, a young bullock without blemish, unto the Lord, for a sin-offering.
4 Et il amènera le taureau à l'entrée de la Tente du Rendez-vous devant l'Éternel et posera sa main sur la tête du taureau, et il égorgera le taureau devant l'Éternel.
And he shall bring the bullock unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord; and he shall lay his hand upon the head of the bullock, and kill the bullock before the Lord.
5 Puis le Prêtre revêtu de l'onction prendra du sang de ce taureau et l'apportera dans la Tente du Rendez-vous.
And the anointed priest shall take some of the bullock's blood, and bring it into the tabernacle of the congregation:
6 Là le Prêtre trempera son doigt dans ce sang dont il fera sept aspersions en face du Rideau du Sanctuaire.
And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood; and he shall sprinkle of the blood seven times before the Lord, before the vail of the sanctuary.
7 Et le Prêtre mettra de ce sang aux cornes de l'Autel de l'encens odorant devant l'Éternel dans la Tente du Rendez-vous, et il répandra tout le [reste du] sang au pied de l'Autel des holocaustes qui se trouve devant l'entrée de la Tente du Rendez-vous.
And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of the incense of spices before the Lord, which is in the tabernacle of the congregation; and all the [remaining] blood of the bullock shall he pour out at the bottom of the altar of burnt-offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
8 Et il enlèvera toute la graisse du taureau expiatoire, la graisse qui enveloppe les intestins, et toute la graisse adhérente aux intestins,
And all the fat of the bullock of the sin-offering shall he take off from the same: the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
9 et les deux reins et la graisse qui y tient, qui tient aux lombes, et le grand lobe attenant au foie, et il la détachera près des reins
And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is on the flanks, and the midriff above the liver, with the kidneys, shall he remove it;
10 de la même manière qu'on l'enlève du taureau dans le sacrifice pacifique, et le Prêtre la fera fumer sur l'Autel des holocaustes.
As it is taken off from the bullock of the sacrifice of peace-offering; and the priest shall burn the same upon the altar of burnt-offering.
11 Et il portera la peau du taureau, sa chair tout entière, sa tête et ses jambes et ses intestins et sa fiente,
And the skin of the bullock, and all his flesh, with his head, and with his legs, and his inwards, and his dung,
12 le taureau tout entier, hors du camp dans un lieu pur où l'on verse les cendres; et il le brûlera sur du bois au feu; c'est dans le lieu où l'on verse les cendres qu'il sera brûlé.
Even the whole bullock, shall he carry forth without the camp, unto a clean place, to where the ashes are poured out, and burn him on the wood with fire; upon where the ashes are poured out shall he be burnt.
13 Et si toute l'assemblée d'Israël tombe par mégarde en péché, et que la chose échappe à la vue de l'Assemblée, et que, contre les commandements de l'Éternel, on ait fait l'une des choses dont on doit s'abstenir, et que l'on soit en état de délit,
And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and a thing be hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they do any one of all the prohibitions of the Lord which ought not to be done, and they become guilty;
14 lorsque l'on aura la connaissance du péché commis, l'assemblée offrira un jeune taureau en expiation, et on l'amènera devant la Tente du Rendez-vous.
When now the sin becometh known, through which they have sinned: then shall the congregation offer a young bullock for a sin-offering, and shall bring him before the tabernacle of the congregation.
15 Et les Anciens de l'Assemblée poseront leurs mains sur la tête du taureau devant l'Éternel, et on égorgera le taureau devant l'Éternel.
And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands upon the head of the bullock before the Lord; and they shall kill the bullock before the Lord.
16 Et le Prêtre revêtu de l'onction apportera du sang de ce taureau dans la Tente du Rendez-vous;
And the anointed priest shall bring some of the bullock's blood into the tabernacle of the congregation:
17 et le Prêtre trempera son doigt dans ce sang, et fera sept aspersions devant l'Éternel en face du Rideau;
And the priest shall dip his finger in some of the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the Lord, before the vail.
18 et il mettra de ce sang aux cornes de l'Autel qui est devant l'Éternel dans la Tente du Rendez-vous; et il répandra tout le [reste du] sang au pied de l'Autel des holocaustes qui est à l'entrée de la Tente du Rendez-vous.
And some of the blood shall be put upon the horns of the altar which is before the Lord, that is in the tabernacle of the congregation; and all the [remaining] blood shall he pour out at the bottom of the altar of burnt-offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
19 Et il en enlèvera toute la graisse qu'il fera fumer sur l'Autel.
And all his fat shall he take from him, and burn it upon the altar.
20 Et il préparera le taureau, comme il prépare le taureau expiatoire: ainsi le préparera-t-il; c'est ainsi que le Prêtre fera pour eux l'expiation afin que pardon leur soit accordé.
And he shall do with the bullock as he did with the bullock of the sin-offering; so shall he do with this: and the priest shall make an atonement for them, and it shall be forgiven unto them.
21 Et l'on emportera le taureau hors du camp et on le brûlera, comme on brûle le taureau précédent: c'est la victime expiatoire pour l'Assemblée.
And he shall carry forth the bullock to without the camp, and burn him as he burnt the first bullock; it is a sin-offering of the congregation.
22 Et si un Prince pèche et, contre les commandements de l'Éternel, son Dieu, fait par mégarde l'une des choses dont on doit s'abstenir, et qu'il soit en état de délit;
If a ruler should sin, and do any one of the prohibitions of the Lord his God which ought not to be done, through ignorance, and become guilty;
23 quand il reconnaîtra le péché commis par lui, il présentera pour son oblation un bouc mâle sans défaut.
If now his sin, wherein he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: he shall bring as his offering, a goat, a male, without blemish;
24 Et il posera sa main sur la tête du bouc, et il l'égorgera dans le lieu où l'on égorge les holocaustes devant l'Éternel: c'est une victime expiatoire.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it on the place where they kill the burnt-offering before the Lord; it is a sin-offering.
25 Et le Prêtre prendra avec le doigt du sang de la victime expiatoire, et en mettra aux cornes de l'Autel des holocaustes, et répandra le [reste du] sang au pied de l'Autel des holocaustes.
And the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin-offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt-offering; and [the remainder of] its blood shall he pour out at the bottom of the altar of burnt-offering.
26 Et il en fera fumer toute la graisse sur l'Autel, comme la graisse de la victime pacifique: c'est ainsi que le Prêtre fera pour lui l'expiation de son péché afin qu'il lui soit pardonné.
And all its fat shall he burn upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace-offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven unto him.
27 Et si un homme du peuple pèche par mégarde en faisant contre les commandements de l'Éternel l'une des choses dont on doit s'abstenir, et qu'il soit en état de délit;
And if any person of the common people should sin through ignorance, by his doing any one of the prohibitions of the Lord, which ought not to be done, and become guilty;
28 quand il reconnaîtra le péché commis par lui, il présentera comme oblation une chèvre sans défaut pour le péché qu'il a commis.
If now his sin, which he hath committed, come to his knowledge: then shall he bring as his offering, a goat, a female, without blemish, for his sin which he hath committed;
29 Et il posera sa main sur la tête de la victime expiatoire, et il l'égorgera dans le lieu des holocaustes.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin-offering, and slay the sin-offering on the place of the burnt-offering.
30 Et le Prêtre prendra avec le doigt du sang de cette victime et en mettra aux cornes de l'Autel des holocaustes, et il répandra tout [le reste de] ce sang au pied de l'Autel.
And the priest shall take some of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt-offering; and all the [remaining] blood thereof shall he pour out at the bottom of the altar.
31 Et il en enlèvera toute la graisse, comme on enlève la graisse de la victime pacifique; et le Prêtre la fera fumer sur l'Autel en parfum agréable à l'Éternel: c'est ainsi que le Prêtre fera pour lui l'expiation, afin que pardon lui soit accordé.
And all the fat thereof shall he remove, as the fat is removed from off the sacrifice of peace-offering; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savor unto the Lord: and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven unto him.
32 Et s'il présente un mouton en oblation pour victime expiatoire, il présentera une femelle sans défaut.
And if he bring a sheep for a sin-offering, a female without blemish shall he bring it.
33 Et il posera sa main sur la tête de la victime et il l'égorgera en expiation dans le lieu où l'on égorge les holocaustes.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin-offering, and slay it for a sin-offering on the place where they kill the burnt-offering.
34 Et le Prêtre prendra avec le doigt du sang de la victime et en mettra aux cornes de l'Autel des holocaustes, et il répandra tout le [reste de ce] sang au pied de l'Autel.
And the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin-offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt-offering; and all the [remaining] blood thereof shall he pour out at the bottom of the altar:
35 Et il en enlèvera toute la graisse, comme on enlève la graisse du mouton offert en sacrifice pacifique. Et le Prêtre la fera fumer sur l'Autel en sacrifice igné à l'Éternel: c'est ainsi que le Prêtre fera pour lui l'expiation du péché qu'il a commis, afin qu'il lui soit pardonné.
And all the fat thereof shall he remove, as the fat of the sheep is removed from the sacrifice of the peace-offering; and the priest shall burn the same upon the altar, upon the offerings made by fire unto the Lord; and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be forgiven unto him.
