Isaïe 56
1 Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Gardez la loi et pratiquez la justice, car mon salut est près d'arriver, et ma justice de se manifester.
Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do righteousness: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Heureux l'homme qui le fait, et l'enfant d'Adam qui y tient fortement, gardant le sabbat pour ne le point profaner, et gardant sa main pour ne faire aucun mal!
Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth fast by it; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 Et que le fils de l'étranger qui s'attache à L'Éternel, ne tienne pas ce langage: « L'Éternel m'exclura de son peuple! » et que l'eunuque ne dise pas: « Je suis un arbre sec! »
Neither let the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD will surely separate me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 Car ainsi parle l'Éternel touchant les eunuques: Ceux qui gardent mes sabbats, et s'affectionnent à ce qui m'est agréable, et adhèrent à mon alliance,
For thus saith the LORD of the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and hold fast by my covenant:
5 je leur donnerai dans ma maison et dans mes murs une place et un nom meilleur que fils et filles, je leur donnerai un nom éternel qui ne périra pas.
Unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters; I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Et les fils des étrangers qui s'attachent à l'Éternel pour le servir et pour aimer le nom de l'Éternel, afin d'être ses serviteurs, tous ceux qui gardent le sabbat pour ne le point profaner et qui adhèrent à mon alliance,
Also the strangers, that join themselves to the LORD, to minister unto him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and holdeth fast by my covenant;
7 je les amènerai à ma sainte montagne et les réjouirai dans ma maison de prière; leurs holocaustes et leurs sacrifices seront bienvenus sur mon autel, car ma maison sera appelée une maison de prière pour tous les peuples.
even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar: for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all peoples.
8 Le Seigneur, l'Éternel qui réunit les bannis d'Israël, le déclare: J'en réunirai encore à lui et aux siens déjà recueillis.
The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather [others] to him, beside his own that are gathered.
9 Vous, toutes les bêtes des champs, venez à la pâture, et vous, toutes les bêtes des forêts!
All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, [yea], all ye beasts in the forest.
10 Ses guets sont tous aveugles, ils n'aperçoivent rien, ils sont tous des chiens muets, incapables d'aboyer, rêvant couchés, aimant à dormir.
His watchmen are blind, they are all without knowledge; they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.
11 Et ces chiens sont voraces, insatiables; et ce sont des bergers qui ne savent pas voir, tous ils prennent leur chemin, chacun après son gain, du premier au dernier:
Yea, the dogs are greedy, they can never have enough; and these are shepherds that cannot understand: they have all turned to their own way, each one to his gain, from every quarter.
12 « Venez! je vais chercher du vin! enivrons-nous de cervoise, et, comme aujourd'hui, demain il y aura quantité et grande abondance! »
Come ye, [say they], I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, [a day] great beyond measure.
