Osée 5
1 Entendez-le, sacrificateurs, écoute-le, maison d'Israël! et maison du roi, sois-y attentive! car pour vous il s'agit du jugement; car vous fûtes un filet à Mitspa, et une toile tendue sur le Thabor.
HEAR ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
2 Ils accumulent les sacrifices coupables; mais moi [j'accumulerai] les châtiments sur eux tous.
And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
3 Je connais Éphraïm, et Israël ne m'est point caché; car maintenant tu te prostitues, Éphraïm, et Israël se souille.
I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
4 Ils ne font point leur œuvre de revenir à leur Dieu, car l'esprit d'impudicité est en eux, et de l'Éternel ils n'ont nulle connaissance.
They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the Lord.
5 Ainsi l'orgueil d'Israël s'exprime sur son visage, et Israël et Éphraïm tomberont par l'effet de leur péché; avec eux tombera aussi Juda.
And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.
6 Avec leurs brebis et leurs taureaux ils viendront chercher l'Éternel et ne le trouveront pas; Il se dérobe à eux.
They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the Lord; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
7 A l'Éternel ils furent infidèles; car ils donnèrent naissance à des enfants bâtards; maintenant il ne faudra qu'une nouvelle lune pour les dévorer, eux et leurs possessions.
They have dealt treacherously against the Lord: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
8 Sonnez de la trompette en Guibha, et du clairon à Rama! pousse des cris, Bethaven! on est à ta poursuite, Benjamin!
Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Beth-aven, after thee, O Benjamin.
9 Éphraïm sera un désert au jour du châtiment; parmi les tribus d'Israël j'annonce une chose certaine.
Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
10 Les princes de Juda sont comme ceux qui déplacent les bornes; sur eux je verserai comme les eaux ma colère.
The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
11 Éphraïm est accablé, écrasé par le jugement, car il se plaît à suivre la voie qu'il se trace.
Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.
12 Et je suis comme une teigne pour Éphraïm, comme une carie pour la maison de Juda.
Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
13 Et Éphraïm voit sa maladie, et Juda sa blessure, et Éphraïm se rend auprès d'Assur, et députe vers un roi qui le venge; mais il ne pourra vous guérir, ni enlever votre plaie.
When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
14 Car je suis comme un lion pour Éphraïm, et comme un jeune lion pour la maison de Juda; moi, moi je déchire, puis je m'en vais, j'emporte, et personne qui sauve.
For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
15 Je m'en vais et retourne à ma demeure, jusqu'à ce qu'ils se reconnaissent et cherchent ma face; dans leur angoisse ils voudront me trouver.
I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
