Hébreux 1
1 Après avoir autrefois, à plusieurs reprises et de plusieurs manières, parlé à nos pères par les prophètes,
God, who at sundry times, and various ways, spake of old unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken to us by his Son,
2 Dieu, dans la période finale des jours actuels, nous a parlé par le Fils, qu'il a fait héritier de toutes choses, par lequel Il a aussi créé l'univers, (aiōn g165)
whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds. (aiōn g165)
3 et qui, étant un rayonnement de Sa gloire et une empreinte de Sa substance, et soutenant toutes choses par la parole de sa puissance, s'est assis, après avoir fait une purification des péchés, à la droite de la Majesté dans les hauts lieux,
Who being the refulgence of his glory and the imprest image of his person, and sustaining all things by his powerful word, having by Himself performed the purging away of our sins, sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high.
4 étant devenu d'autant supérieur aux anges, qu'il avait hérité un nom plus excellent qu'eux.
Being as much superior to the angels, as He inheriteth a name more excellent than they.
5 Car auquel des anges a-t-Il jamais dit: « Tu es Mon fils, c'est Moi qui t'ai engendré aujourd'hui? » Et derechef: « Moi, Je serai pour lui un père, et lui sera pour Moi un fils? »
For to which of the angels did He ever say, "Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?" and again, "I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to me a Son?"
6 Puis encore, quand Il introduit le premier-né dans le monde, Il dit: « Et que tous les anges de Dieu l'adorent! »
and when He again introduceth the First-born into the world, he saith, "And let all the angels of God worship Him."
7 Et, tandis qu'il dit aux anges: « Celui qui fait de Ses anges des vents et de Ses ministres une flamme de feu, »
And as to the angels He saith, "Who maketh his angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire:"
8 Il dit au contraire au Fils: « Ton trône, ô Dieu, subsiste pour l'éternité; » et: « C'est le sceptre de rectitude que le sceptre de son royaume; (aiōn g165)
but to the Son, "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness: (aiōn g165)
9 tu as aimé la justice, et tu as haï l'iniquité; c'est pourquoi, ô Dieu, ton Dieu t'a oint, plus que tes pairs, d'une huile d'allégresse; »
thou lovest righteousness and hatest iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thine associates."
10 et: « C'est Toi, Seigneur, qui, au commencement, as fondé la terre, et les cieux sont des œuvres de Tes mains;
And in another place, "Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast founded the earth, and the heavens are the works of thy hands:
11 pour eux ils périront, tandis que Toi, Tu subsistes; et tous ils vieilliront comme un vêtement,
they shall perish, but thou remainest; and they shall all grow old as a garment,
12 et Tu les replieras comme une couverture, comme un vêtement, et ils seront changés; mais Toi, Tu es le même, et Tes années ne finiront point. »
and as a mantle wilt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed; but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail."
13 Enfin, auquel des anges a-t-Il jamais dit: « Assieds-toi à Ma droite, jusques à ce que J'aie fait de tes ennemis un marchepied pour tes pieds? »
But to which of the angels hath He ever said, "Sit thou at my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?"
14 Est-ce qu'ils ne sont pas tous des esprits au service de Dieu, chargés de remplir un ministère pour ceux qui doivent hériter du salut?
Are they not all ministring spirits, sent forth to attend on those who shall be heirs of salvation?
