1 C'est ici le livre de l'histoire d'Adam. Lorsque Dieu créa l'homme, Il le fit ressemblant à Dieu.
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in God’s likeness.
2 Il les créa mâle et femelle, et les bénit et leur donna le nom a d'homme lors de leur création.
He created them male and female, and blessed them. On the day they were created, he named them Adam.
3 Et Adam ayant vécu cent trente ans engendra [un fils] de sa ressemblance, à son image, et lui donna le nom de Seth.
Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.
4 Et les jours d'Adam après la naissance de Seth, furent de huit cents ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
5 Et tout le temps que vécut Adam fut de neuf cent trente ans, puis il mourut.
All the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, then he died.
6 Et Seth ayant vécu cent cinq ans engendra Enos.
Seth lived one hundred and five years, then became the father of Enosh.
7 Et après la naissance d'Enos, Seth vécut huit cent-sept ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
Seth lived after he became the father of Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
8 Et tous les jours de Seth furent neuf cent douze ans, puis il mourut.
All of the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, then he died.
9 Et Enos ayant vécu quatre-vingt-dix ans engendra Keinan.
Enosh lived ninety years, and became the father of Kenan.
10 Et après la naissance de Keinan, Enos vécut huit cent quinze ans; et il engendra des fils et des filles.
Enosh lived after he became the father of Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
11 Et tous les jours d'Enos furent neuf cent-cinq ans; puis il mourut.
All of the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, then he died.
12 Et Keinan ayant vécu soixante-dix ans engendra Mahalaleël.
Kenan lived seventy years, then became the father of Mahalalel.
13 Et après la naissance de Mahalaleël, Keinan vécut huit cent quarante ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
Kenan lived after he became the father of Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years, and became the father of other sons and daughters
14 Et tous les jours de Keinan furent neuf cent-dix ans, puis il mourut.
and all of the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years, then he died.
15 Et Mahalaleël ayant vécu soixante-cinq ans engendra Jared.
Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, then became the father of Jared.
16 Et après la naissance de Jared, Mahalaleël vécut huit cent trente ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
Mahalalel lived after he became the father of Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
17 Et tous les jours de Mahalaleël furent huit cent quatre-vingt-quinze ans, puis il mourut.
All of the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, then he died.
18 Et Jared ayant vécu cent soixante-deux ans engendra Henoch.
Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, then became the father of Enoch.
19 Et après la naissance de Henoch, Jared vécut huit cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
Jared lived after he became the father of Enoch eight hundred years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
20 Et tous les jours de Jared furent neuf cent soixante-deux ans, puis il mourut.
All of the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, then he died.
21 Et Henoch ayant vécu soixante-cinq ans engendra Methusalah.
Enoch lived sixty-five years, then became the father of Methuselah.
22 Et après la naissance de Methusalah, Henoch marcha avec Dieu trois cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
After Methuselah’s birth, Enoch walked with God for three hundred years, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
23 Et tous les jours de Henoch furent trois cent soixante-cinq ans.
All the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 Et Henoch marcha avec Dieu, et il disparut, parce que Dieu le prit.
Enoch walked with God, and he was not found, for God took him.
25 Et Methusalah ayant vécu cent quatre-vingt-sept ans engendra Lémech, et après la naissance de Lémech,
Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, then became the father of Lamech.
26 Methusalah vécut sept cent quatre-vingt-deux ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
Methuselah lived after he became the father of Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
27 Et tous les jours de Methusalah furent neuf cent soixante-neuf ans, puis il mourut.
All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, then he died.
28 Et Lémech ayant vécu cent quatre-vingt-deux ans engendra un fils.
Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, then became the father of a son.
29 Et il lui donna le nom de Noé en disant: Celui-ci nous consolera du pénible labeur de nos mains, qui procède de la terre que l'Éternel a maudite.
He named him Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, caused by the ground which the LORD has cursed.”
30 Et après la naissance de Noé, Lémech vécut cinq cent quatre-vingt-quinze ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.
Lamech lived after he became the father of Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
31 Et tous les jours de Lémech furent sept cent soixante-dix-sept ans, puis il mourut.
All the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, then he died.
32 Et Noé étant âgé de cinq cents ans engendra Sem, Cham et Japheth.
Noah was five hundred years old, then Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
