Exode 12
1 Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse et à Aaron dans le pays d'Egypte en ces termes:
Then the Lord spake to Moses and to Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2 Ce mois-ci sera pour vous le premier mois; qu'il soit en tête des mois de votre année.
This moneth shalbe vnto you the beginning of moneths: it shalbe to you the first moneth of the yere.
3 Parlez et dites à toute l'assemblée d'Israël: Le dixième jour de ce mois ils auront à se pourvoir chacun d'un agneau par maison patriarcale, d'un agneau par maison.
Speake ye vnto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth of this moneth let euery man take vnto him a lambe, according to the house of the fathers, a lambe for an house.
4 Et si la maison est trop peu nombreuse pour un agneau, on s'associera au voisin le plus rapproché de sa maison pour le prendre selon le nombre des personnes, et pour choisir l'agneau vous tiendrez compte de chacun en raison de ce qu'il mange.
And if the housholde be too litle for the lambe, he shall take his neighbour, which is next vnto his house, according to the nomber of the persons: euery one of you, according to his eating shall make your count for the lambes,
5 Ce sera un agneau sans défaut, mâle et âgé d'un an; vous le choisirez parmi les brebis ou les chèvres.
Your lambe shalbe without blemish, a male of a yeere olde: ye shall take it of the lambes, or of the kiddes.
6 Et vous le garderez jusqu'au quatorzième jour de ce mois-ci, et toute la générale assemblée d'Israël l'immolera dans la soirée.
And yee shall keepe it vntill the fourteenth day of this moneth: then al the multitude of the Congregation of Israel shall kill it at euen.
7 Et ils prendront de son sang et en mettront sur les deux jambages et la traverse supérieure de la porte des maisons où ils le mangeront.
After, they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two postes, and on the vpper doore post of the houses where they shall eate it.
8 Et ils mangeront pendant cette nuit la chair rôtie au feu et des azymes; ils le mangeront avec des herbes amères.
And they shall eate the flesh the same night, roste with fire, and vnleauened bread: with sowre herbes they shall eate it.
9 Vous ne le mangerez ni mi-cuit, ni bouilli à l'eau, mais rôti au feu, tête, jarrets et intérieur.
Eate not thereof rawe, boyled nor sodden in water, but rost with fire, both his head, his feete, and his purtenance.
10 Et vous n'en laisserez rien pour le matin, et vous brûlerez au feu ce qui en resterait le matin.
And ye shall reserue nothing of it vnto the morning: but that, which remaineth of it vnto the morowe, shall ye burne with fire.
11 Et voici comment vous le mangerez: vous aurez les reins ceints, les pieds chaussés, et votre bâton à la main, et vous le mangerez précipitamment: c'est la Pâque de l'Éternel.
And thus shall yee eate it, Your loynes girded, your shoes on your feete, and your staues in your handes, and yee shall eate it in haste: for it is the Lords Passeouer.
12 Et cette nuit je traverserai le pays d'Egypte et frapperai tous les premiers-nés au pays d'Egypte, depuis l'homme aux bestiaux, et j'exercerai des jugements sur tous les dieux de l'Egypte, moi l'Éternel.
For I will passe through the lande of Egypt the same night, and will smite all the first borne in the land of Egypt, both man and beast, and I will execute iudgement vpon all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord.
13 Et le sang vous servira de signe aux maisons où vous êtes; et je verrai le sang et passerai outre, et vous ne serez pas atteints par le fléau destructeur, quand je porterai mes coups au pays d'Egypte.
And the blood shalbe a token for you vpon the houses where ye are: so when I see the blood, I will passe ouer you, and the plague shall not be vpon you to destruction, when I smite the lande of Egypt.
14 Et ce jour restera dans votre mémoire pour le célébrer comme une fête en l'honneur de l'Éternel; dans les âges futurs vous le célébrerez comme institution perpétuelle.
And this day shalbe vnto you a remembrance: and ye shall keepe it an holie feast vnto the Lord, throughout your generations: yee shall keepe it holie by an ordinance for euer.
15 Durant sept jours vous mangerez des azymes; dès le premier jour vous ferez disparaître tout ferment de vos maisons, car toute personne qui mangera d'un aliment fermenté, sera extirpée d'Israël du premier au septième jour.
Seuen daies shall ye eat vnleauened bread, and in any case ye shall put away leauen the first day out of your houses: for whosoeuer eateth leauened bread from the first daie vntill the seuenth day, that person shalbe cut off from Israel.
16 Et le premier jour vous aurez convocation sainte, et le septième jour convocation sainte; et en ces jours aucun travail; préparer la ration de chaque personne, tel sera votre soin unique.
And in the first day shalbe an holie assemblie: also in the seuenth day shalbe an holy assemblie vnto you: no worke shalbe done in them, saue about that which euery man must eate: that onely may ye do.
17 Ainsi vous garderez l'usage des azymes; car c'est à pareil jour que j'aurai fait sortir vos divisions du pays d'Egypte, et vous observerez ce jour dans vos âges futurs comme institution perpétuelle.
Ye shall keepe also the feast of vnleauened bread: for that same daye I will bring your armies out of the lande of Egypt: therefore ye shall obserue this day, throughout your posteritie, by an ordinance for euer.
18 Le premier mois, le quatorzième jour du mois, le soir, vous mangerez des azymes jusqu'au vingt-unième jour du mois au soir.
In the first moneth and the fourteenth day of the moneth at euen, yee shall eate vnleauened bread vnto the one and twentieth day of the moneth at euen.
19 Sept jours durant il ne doit pas se trouver de levain dans vos maisons, car toute personne qui mangera d'un aliment fermenté, sera éliminée de l'assemblée d'Israël, que ce soit un étranger ou un indigène.
Seuen daies shall no leauen be founde in your houses: for whosoeuer eateth leauened bread, that person shalbe cut off from the Congregation of Israel: whether he bee a stranger, or borne in the land.
20 Vous ne mangerez rien de fermenté, dans toutes vos demeures vous mangerez des azymes.
Ye shall eate no leauened bread: but in all your habitations shall ye eate vnleauened bread.
21 Alors Moïse convoqua tous les Anciens d'Israël, et leur dit: Prenez et choisissez-vous des brebis pour vos familles et immolez la Pâque.
Then Moses called all the Elders of Israel, and saide vnto them, Choose out and take you for euerie of your housholdes a lambe, and kill the Passeouer.
22 Et prenez un bouquet d'hysope et plongez-le dans le sang contenu dans le bassin, et touchez-en la traverse supérieure et les deux jambages de la porte, avec le sang contenu dans le bassin, et que nul de vous ne passe la porte de sa maison jusqu'au matin.
And take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basen, and strike the lintell, and the doore cheekes with the blood that is in the basen, and let none of you goe out at the doore of his house, vntill the morning.
23 Car l'Éternel parcourra l'Egypte pour la frapper, et à la vue du sang qui teindra la traverse supérieure et les deux jambages de la porte, l'Éternel passera devant la porte et ne permettra pas au destructeur de pénétrer dans vos maisons pour frapper.
For the Lord will passe by to smite the Egyptians: and when he seeth the blood vpon the lintel and on the two doore cheekes, the Lord wil passe ouer the doore, and wil not suffer the destroyer to come into your houses to plague you.
24 Et vous garderez cette parole comme un statut pour vous et vos enfants à perpétuité.
Therefore shall ye obserue this thing as an ordinance both for thee and thy sonnes for euer.
25 Et lorsque vous serez entrés dans le pays que l'Éternel vous donnera selon sa promesse, vous observerez cette pratique.
And when ye shall come into the land, which the Lord will giue you as hee hath promised, then ye shall keepe this seruice.
26 Et lorsque vos enfants vous diront: Quel sens attachez-vous à cette pratique?
And when your children aske you, What seruice is this ye keepe?
27 vous leur direz: C'est le sacrifice pascal fait à l'Éternel qui est passé devant les maisons des enfants d'Israël en Egypte, lorsqu'il frappait l'Egypte, et Il a préservé nos maisons. Et le peuple se prosterna et adora.
Then ye shall saye, It is the sacrifice of the Lordes Passeouer, which passed ouer the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and preserued our houses. Then the people bowed them selues, and worshipped.
28 Et les enfants d'Israël s'en allèrent et se conformèrent; ils se conformèrent à l'ordre donné par l'Éternel à Moïse et Aaron.
So the children of Israel went, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron: so did they.
29 Et à minuit il arriva que l'Éternel frappa tous les premiers-nés au pays d'Egypte, depuis le premier-né de Pharaon assis sur son trône jusqu'au premier-né du captif détenu en prison et tous les premiers-nés des bestiaux.
Nowe at midnight, the Lord smote all the first borne in the lande of Egypt, from the first borne of Pharaoh that sate on his throne, vnto the first borne of the captiue that was in prison, and all the first borne of beastes.
30 Et Pharaon se leva de nuit, lui et tous ses serviteurs et tous les Égyptiens, et ce fut une immense lamentation en Egypte, parce qu'il n'y avait point de maison où ne fût un mort.
And Pharaoh rose vp in the night, he, and all his seruants and all the Egyptians: and there was a great crye in Egypt: for there was no house where there was not one dead.
31 Et il manda de nuit Moïse et Aaron et dit: Partez, sortez du milieu de mon peuple, et vous et les enfants d'Israël, et allez servir l'Éternel selon votre demande.
And hee called to Moses and to Aaron by night, and saide, Rise vp, get you out from among my people, both yee, and the children of Israel, and goe serue the Lord as ye haue sayde.
32 Prenez aussi et vos brebis et vos bœufs selon votre demande, et partez, et me bénissez aussi.
Take also your sheepe and your cattell as yee haue sayde, and depart, and blesse me also.
33 Et les Égyptiens pressaient le peuple, pour le renvoyer en hâte du pays, car ils disaient: Nous nous mourons tous.
And the Egyptians did force the people, because they would send them out of the land in haste: for they said, We die all.
34 Et le peuple emporta sa pâte avant qu'elle eût fermenté, leurs huches serrées dans leurs manteaux sur leurs épaules.
Therfore the people tooke their dough before it was leauened, euen their dough bound in clothes vpon their shoulders.
35 Et les enfants d'Israël se conformèrent à la parole de Moïse et demandèrent aux Égyptiens de la vaisselle d'argent et de la vaisselle d'or et des vêtements.
And the children of Israel did according to the saying of Moses, and they asked of ye Egyptians iewels of siluer and iewels of gold, and raiment.
36 Et l'Éternel concilia au peuple les bonnes grâces des Égyptiens qui leur accordèrent ce qu'ils demandaient, et ils dépouillèrent ainsi les Egyptiens.
And the Lord gaue the people fauour in the sight of the Egyptians: and they graunted their request: so they spoyled the Egyptians.
37 Et les enfants d'Israël se transportèrent de Ramsès à Succoth au nombre de six cent mille hommes de pied, sans les enfants.
Then the children of Israel tooke their iourney from Rameses to Succoth about sixe hundreth thousand men of foote, beside children.
38 Une multitude d'étrangers les accompagnèrent aussi, et leurs troupeaux de gros et de menu bétail en nombre très considérable.
And a great multitude of sundrie sortes of people went out with them, and sheepe, and beeues, and cattel in great abundance.
39 Et ils boulangèrent la pâte qu'ils avaient emportée d'Egypte, en galettes non levées; car elle n'avait pas fermenté; car ils avaient été chassés de l'Egypte, et ils ne pouvaient différer, n'ayant d'ailleurs point préparé d'aliments.
And they baked the dough which they brought out of Egypt, and made vnleauened cakes: for it was not leauened, because they were thrust out of Egypt, neither coulde they tarie, nor yet prepare themselues vitailes.
40 Or le temps du séjour des enfants d'Israël en Egypte fut de quatre cent trente ans.
So the dwelling of the children of Israel, while they dwelled in Egypt, was foure hundreth and thirtie yeres.
41 Et au terme de quatre cent trente ans, il arriva que, en ce jour même, toute la milice de l'Éternel sortit du pays d'Egypte. C'est une nuit solennisée en l'honneur de l'Éternel pour les avoir retirés du pays d'Egypte;
And when the foure hundreth and thirtie yeeres were expired, euen the selfe same day departed all the hostes of the Lord out of the land of Egypt.
42 c'est une nuit que les enfants d'Israël doivent solenniser en l'honneur de l'Éternel dans la suite de leurs âges.
It is a night to be kept holie to the Lord, because he brought them out of the lande of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord, which all the children of Israel must keepe throughout their generations.
43 Et l'Éternel dit a Moïse et Aaron: Voici l'ordonnance de la Pâque: Aucun étranger n'y participera.
Also the Lord said vnto Moses and Aaron, This is the Lawe of the Passeouer: no stranger shall eate thereof.
44 Et tu circonciras tout esclave acheté à prix d'argent, et ainsi il pourra en manger.
But euerie seruant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
45 Le domicilié et le mercenaire n'en mangeront pas.
A stranger or an hyred seruant shall not eat thereof.
46 Elle sera mangée dans la maison uniquement; vous ne porterez de la maison dans la rue aucune partie de la chair, et vous n'en romprez pas un os.
In one house shall it bee eaten: thou shalt carie none of ye flesh out of the house, neither shall ye breake a bone thereof.
47 Toute l'assemblée d'Israël fera la Pâque.
All the Congregation of Israel shall obserue it.
48 Et si des étrangers séjournent chez toi, et veulent faire la Pâque de l'Éternel, tous leurs mâles devront être circoncis, et ainsi ils seront admis à la célébrer et assimilés aux indigènes; mais aucun incirconcis ne prendra part à ce repas;
But if a stranger dwell with thee, and will obserue the Passeouer of the Lord, let him circumcise all the males, that belong vnto him, and then let him come and obserue it, and he shall be as one that is borne in the land: for none vncircumcised person shall eate thereof.
49 à la même loi obéiront les indigènes et les étrangers en séjour parmi vous.
One lawe shalbe to him that is borne in the land, and to the stranger that dwelleth among you.
50 Et tous les enfants d'Israël se conformèrent, ils se conformèrent à l'ordre donné par l'Éternel à Moïse et Aaron.
Then all the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron: so did they.
51 Et il arriva dans ce jour même que l'Éternel fit sortir du pays d'Egypte les enfants d'Israël selon leurs divisions.
And the selfe same day did the Lord bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
