Daniel 9
1 La première année de Darius, fils d'Assuérus, de la race Mède, qui devint roi du royaume des Chaldéens,
“In the first year of Darius, son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who has been made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans,
2 la première année de son règne, moi Daniel, je fixai mon attention dans les livres [saints] sur le nombre des années que l'Éternel avait dit à Jérémie, le prophète, devoir s'accomplir pour les ruines de Jérusalem, [savoir] soixante-dix années.
in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, have understood by scrolls the number of the years (in that a word of YHWH has been to Jeremiah the prophet), concerning the fulfilling of the desolations of Jerusalem—seventy years;
3 Et je tournai mes regards vers le Seigneur, mon Dieu, afin de chercher la prière et l'oraison dans le jeûne, dans le cilice et la cendre.
and I set my face toward the Lord God, to seek [by] prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.
4 Et je fis à l'Éternel, mon Dieu, ma prière et ma confession, et je dis: O Seigneur, qui es le Dieu grand et redoutable, qui garde l'alliance et la miséricorde pour ceux qui l'aiment et gardent ses commandements!
And I pray to my God YHWH, and confess, and say: Ah, now, O Lord God, the great and the fearful, keeping the covenant and the kindness to those loving Him and to those keeping His commands;
5 Nous avons été pécheurs et pervers, et nous avons été transgresseurs et rebelles, et nous nous sommes écartés de tes commandements et de tes lois.
we have sinned, and done perversely, and done wickedly, and rebelled, to turn aside from Your commands, and from Your judgments:
6 Et nous n'avons point écouté tes serviteurs, les prophètes, qui parlèrent en ton nom à nos rois, à nos princes et à nos pères et à tout le peuple du pays.
and we have not listened to Your servants, the prophets, who have spoken in Your Name to our kings, our heads, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 Seigneur, à toi la justice, et à nous la confusion du visage en ce jour, aux hommes de Juda, et aux habitants de Jérusalem et à tout Israël, et à ceux qui sont près, et à ceux qui sont au loin dans toutes les contrées où tu les as chassés à cause du crime par lequel ils se sont rendus criminels envers toi.
To You, O Lord, [is] the righteousness, and to us the shame of face, as [at] this day, to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, who are near, and who are far off, in all the lands to where You have driven them, in their trespass that they have trespassed against You.
8 Seigneur, à nous la confusion du visage, à nos rois, à nos princes et à nos pères, pour avoir péché contre toi.
O Lord, to us [is] the shame of face, to our kings, to our heads, and to our fathers, in that we have sinned against You.
9 Mais par devers le Seigneur, notre Dieu, il y a miséricorde et pardon.
To the Lord our God [are] the mercies and the forgivenesses, for we have rebelled against Him,
10 Car nous nous sommes rebellés contre lui, et nous n'avons point été dociles à la voix de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, pour suivre ses lois qu'il avait mises devant nos yeux par le ministère de ses serviteurs, les prophètes.
and have not listened to the voice of our God YHWH, to walk in His laws, that He has set before us by the hand of His servants the prophets;
11 Et tout Israël a transgressé ta loi, et s'est détourné pour ne point écouter ta voix; et sur nous a été versée la malédiction et l'exécration consignée dans la loi de Moïse, serviteur de Dieu, parce que nous avons péché contre Lui.
and all Israel has transgressed Your law, to turn aside so as not to listen to Your voice; and poured on us is the execration, and the oath, that is written in the Law of Moses, servant of God, because we have sinned against Him.
12 Et Il a réalisé sa menace prononcée par Lui contre nous et contre nos juges qui nous jugeaient, amenant sur nous une grande calamité, tellement que ce qui est arrivé à Jérusalem, n'était jamais arrivé sous le ciel entier.
And He confirms His words that He has spoken against us, and against our judges who have judged us, to bring great calamity on us, in that it has not been done under the whole heavens as it has been done in Jerusalem,
13 Conformément à ce qui est écrit dans la Loi de Moïse, toute cette calamité nous est survenue. Mais nous n'avons point imploré la grâce de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, pour renoncer à nos iniquités, et nous rendre attentifs à ta vérité.
as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this evil has come on us, and we have not appeased the face of our God YHWH to turn back from our iniquities, and to act wisely in Your truth.
14 C'est pourquoi l'Éternel ne perdit pas de vue la calamité et la fit fondre sur nous; car l'Éternel, notre Dieu, est juste dans tous les actes qu'il opère; mais nous ne fûmes point dociles à sa voix.
And YHWH watches for the evil, and brings it on us, for our God YHWH is righteous concerning all His works that He has done, and we have not listened to His voice.
15 Et maintenant, Seigneur, notre Dieu, qui as tiré ton peuple du pays d'Egypte d'une main forte, et qui t'es fait un nom aujourd'hui: nous avons péché, nous avons été des impies.
And now, O Lord our God, who has brought forth Your people from the land of Egypt by a strong hand, and makes for Yourself a name as at this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16 Seigneur! conformément à tous tes actes d'équité, ah! que ta colère et ta fureur se détournent de ta ville de Jérusalem, ta sainte montagne! Car nos péchés et les crimes de nos pères ont rendu Jérusalem et ton peuple l'opprobre de tous nos alentours.
O Lord, according to all Your righteous acts, please let Your anger and Your fury turn back from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain, for by our sins, and by the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people [are] for a reproach to all our neighbors;
17 Écoute donc, ô notre Dieu, la prière de ton serviteur et sa requête, et fais luire ta face sur ton sanctuaire qui est dévasté, pour l'amour du Seigneur!
and now, listen, O our God, to the prayer of Your servant, and to his supplication, and cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary that [is] desolate, for the Lord’s sake.
18 Incline, ô mon Dieu, ton oreille et écoute! ouvre les yeux et regarde nos ruines et la ville appelée de ton nom! et quand nous déposons nos requêtes devant toi, nous comptons non sur notre justice, mais sur tes compassions immenses.
Incline, O my God, Your ear, and hear, open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city on which Your Name is called; for not for our righteous acts are we causing our supplications to fall before You, but for Your mercies that [are] many.
19 Seigneur, écoute! Seigneur, pardonne! Seigneur, aie égard et agis! ne tarde pas, au nom de toi-même, O mon Dieu! Car c'est de ton nom que cette ville et ce peuple sont appelés.
O Lord, hear, O Lord, forgive; O Lord, attend and do; do not delay, for Your own sake, O my God, for Your Name is called on Your city, and on Your people.
20 Et je parlais et priais encore, et confessais mon péché et le péché de mon peuple d'Israël, et je laissais tomber mes prières devant l'Éternel, mon Dieu, en faveur de la sainte montagne de mon Dieu;
And while I am speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin, and the sin of my people Israel, and causing my supplication to fall before my God YHWH, for the holy mountain of my God,
21 je parlais encore en oraison, quand l'homme, Gabriel, que j'avais vu dans la précédente vision, vint en hâte auprès de moi, vers le temps de l'oblation du soir.
indeed, while I am speaking in prayer, then that one Gabriel, whom I had seen in vision at the commencement, being caused to fly swiftly, is coming to me at the time of the evening present.
22 Et il m'éclaira et s'entretint avec moi, et me dit: Daniel, je parais maintenant pour te faire pénétrer dans l'intelligence.
And he gives understanding, and speaks with me, and says, O Daniel, now I have come forth to cause you to consider understanding wisely;
23 Comme tu commençais à prier, la parole est émanée, et je viens te l'exposer; car tu es le désiré. Fais donc attention à la parole, et comprends la vision!
at the commencement of your supplications the word has come forth, and I have come to declare [it], for you [are] greatly desired, and understand concerning the matter, and consider concerning the appearance.
24 Soixante-dix semaines sont dispensées sur ton peuple et sur ta ville sainte, pour que le crime soit consommé, et la mesure du péché comblée, et l'iniquité expiée, et pour amener une justice éternelle, et sceller la vision et le prophète, et oindre le Saint des saints.
Seventy periods of seven are determined for your people and for your holy city, to shut up the transgression, and to seal up sins, and to cover iniquity, and to bring in continuous righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophet, and to anoint the Holy of Holies.
25 Sache-le donc, et sois attentif: Depuis l'émission de la parole annonçant que Jérusalem sera restaurée et rebâtie jusqu'à un Oint, un prince, il y a sept semaines; et dans l'espace de soixante-deux semaines elle sera restaurée et rebâtie, avec places et fossés, mais au milieu des perplexités des temps.
And you know, and consider wisely, from the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem until Messiah the Leader [is] seven periods of seven, and sixty-two periods of seven: the broad place has been built again, and the rampart, even in the distress of the times.
26 Et après les soixante-deux semaines un Oint sera retranché, et il n'aura personne, et là ville et le sanctuaire seront ravagés par le peuple d'un prince arrivant, et sa fin sera, amenée par une inondation, et jusqu'à la fin il y aura guerre, arrêt de dévastations,
And after the sixty-two periods of seven, Messiah is cut off, but not for Himself, and the people of the leader who is coming destroy the city and the holy place; and its end [is] with a flood, and until the end [is] war, [and] desolations [are] determined.
27 et il donnera une alliance forte à plusieurs pendant une semaine, et à la moitié de la semaine il fera cesser le sacrifice et l'oblation, et sur le faîte des abominations sera le dévastateur, et cela jusqu'à ce que l'extermination et le décret fondent sur le dévastateur.
And he has strengthened a covenant with many [for] one period of seven, and [in] the midst of the period of seven he causes sacrifice and present to cease, and by the wing of abominations he is making desolate, even until the consummation, and that which is determined is poured on the desolate one.”
