1 Chroniques 2
1 Suivent les fils d'Israël: Ruben, Siméon, Lévi et Juda, Issaschar et Zabulon,
These, are the sons of Israel, —Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun;
2 Dan, Joseph et Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad et Asser.
Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher,
3 Fils de Juda: Ger et Onan et Sélah, ces trois lui naquirent de la fille de Suah la Cananéenne. Et Ger, le premier-né de Juda, fui méchant aux yeux de l'Éternel, qui le fit mourir.
the sons of Judah, Er, and Onan, and Shelah, the three born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess, —but Er the firstborn of Judah became wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, and he slew him.
4 Et Thamar, sa bru, lui enfanta Pérets et Zérach. Tous les fils de Juda sont au nombre de cinq.
And, Tamar his daughter-in-law, bare him, Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah, were five.
5 Fils de Pérets: Hetsron et Hamul;
The sons of Perez, Hezron and Hamul.
6 et les fils de Zérach: Zimri et Eithan et Eiman et Calcol et Dara, tous ensemble cinq.
And, the sons of Zerah, Zimri and Ethan, and Heman and Calcol and Dara, all of them, five.
7 Et les fils de Carmi: Achar qui troubla Israël par son sacrilège;
And, the sons of Carmi, Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in a thing devoted.
8 et les fils d'Eithan: Azaria;
And, the sons of Ethan, Azariah.
9 et les fils de Hetsron qui lui naquirent: Jérahmeël et Ram et Chelubaï.
And, the sons of Hezron, who were born to him, Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Calubai.
10 Et Ram engendra Amminadab, et Amminadab engendra Nachson, prince des fils de Juda.
And, Ram, begat Amminadab, —and, Amminadab, begat Nahshon, leader of the sons of Judah.
11 Et Nachson engendra Salma, et Salma engendra Boaz
And, Nahshon, begat Salma, and, Salma, begat Boaz;
12 et Boaz engendra Obed, et Obed engendra Isaï,
and, Boaz, begat Obed, and, Obed, begat Jesse;
13 et Isaï engendra son premier-né Eliab, et Abinadab le puîné et Siméa le troisième,
and, Jesse, begat—his firstborn, Eliab, —and Abinadab, the second, and Shimea, the third;
14 Nethaneël le quatrième, Raddaï le cinquième,
Nethanel, the fourth, Raddai, the fifth;
15 Otsem le sixième, David le septième.
Ozem, the sixth, David, the seventh.
16 Et leurs sœurs étaient: Tseruïa et Abigaïl. Et les fils de Tseruïa: Abisaï et Joab et Hasahel, trois.
And, their sisters, were Zeruiah and Abigail, —and, the sons of Zeruiah, Abishai and Joab and Asahel, three,
17 Et Abigaïl enfanta Amasa, et le père d'Amasa était Jéther, l'Ismaélite.
And, Abigail, bare Amasa, —and, the father of Amasa, was Jether the Ishmaelite.
18 Et Caleb, fils de Hetsron, eut des enfants de Azuba, sa femme, et de Jerihoth dont voici les fils: Jéser et Sobab et Ardon.
And, Caleb son of Hezron, begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth, —and, these, were her sons, Jesher and Shobab and Ardon.
19 Et à la mort d'Azuba, Caleb épousa Ephrath qui lui enfanta Hur.
And Azubah died, —and Caleb took unto him Ephrath, and she bare to him Hur.
20 Et Hur engendra Uri, et Uri engendra Betsaleël.
And, Hur, begat Uri, and, Uri, begat Bezalel.
21 Et ensuite Hetsron s'approcha de la fille de Machir père de Galaad, et il l'épousa étant âgé de soixante ans, et elle lui engendra Segub.
And, afterward, Hezron went in unto the daughter of Machir, father of Gilead, and he took her when he was sixty years old, —and she bare him Segub.
22 Et Segub engendra Jaïr qui eut vingt-trois villes au pays de Galaad;
And, Segub, begat Jair, —who came to have twenty-three cities, in the land of Gilead;
23 mais les Gesurites et les Syriens leur ravirent les bourgs de Jaïr avec Kenath et ses annexes, soixante villes. Tout autant de fils de Machir, père de Galaad.
but Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, with Kenath and the villages thereof, sixty cities. All these, were the sons of Machir, father of Gilead.
24 Et lorsque Hetsron fut mort à Caleb-Ephrata, sa femme Abia lui enfanta Aschur, père de Thékôa.
And, after the death of Hezron, Caleb entered Ephrathah, —and, the wife of Hezron, was Abiah, who bare him Ashur, father of Tekoa.
25 Et les fils de Jérahmeël, premier-né de Hetsron, furent: le premier-né Ram et Buna et Oren et Otsem, Ahia.
And the sons of Jerahmeel firstborn of Hezron were, the firstborn, Ram, —and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem [of] Ahijah.
26 Et Jérahmeël eut une autre femme nommée Atara qui fut mère d'Onam.
And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name, was Atarah, —the same, was the mother of Onam.
27 Et les fils de Ram, premier-né de Jérahmeël, furent: Mahats et Jamim et Eker.
And the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerameel, were, —Maaz and Jamin, and Eker.
28 Et les fils d'Onam furent: Sammaï et Jada. Et les fils de Sammaï: Nadab et Abisur.
And the sons of Onam were, Shammai and Jada, —and, the sons of Shammai, Nadab and Abishur.
29 Et le nom de la femme d'Abisur était Abihaïl, et elle lui enfanta Achban et Molid.
And, the name of the wife of Abishur, was Abihail, —and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.
30 Et les fils de Nadab: Séled et Appaïm. Et Séled mourut sans fils.
And, the sons of Nadab, Seled and Appaim, —but Seled died without sons.
31 Et les fils d'Appaïm: Jiseï. Et les fils de Jiseï: Sésan. Et les fils de Sésan: Achlaï.
And, the sons of Appaim, Ishi, and, the sons of Ishi, Sheshan, and, the sons of Sheshan, Ahlai.
32 Et les fils de Jada, frère de Sammaï: Jéther et Jonathan. Et Jéther mourut sans fils.
And, the sons of Jada, brother of Shammai, Jether, and Jonathan, —but Jether died without sons.
33 Et les fils de Jonathan: Péleth et Zaza. Ce sont là les fils de Jérahmeël.
And the sons of Jonathan, Peleth and Zaza. These, were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34 Et Sésan n'eut pas de fils, mais il eut des filles. Et Sésan eut un serviteur Égyptien nommé Jarcha.
Now Sheshan had, no sons, but, daughters, —and, Sheshan, had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha;
35 Et Sésan donna sa fille en mariage à Jarcha, son serviteur, et elle lui enfanta Athaï.
so Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant, to wife, —and she bare him Attai.
36 Et Athaï engendra Nathan, et Nathan engendra Zabad.
And, Attai, begat Nathan, and, Nathan, begat Zabad;
37 Et Zabad engendra Ephlal, et Ephlal engendra Obed,
and, Zabad, begat Ephlal, and, Ephlal, begat Obed;
38 et Obed engendra Jéhu. Et Jéhu engendra Azaria
and, Obed, begat Jehu, and, Jehu, begat Azariah;
39 et Azaria engendra Halets et Halets engendra Elasa
and, Azariah, begat Helez, and, Helez, begat Eleasah;
40 et Elasa engendra Sisemaï et Sisemaï engendra Sallum
and, Eleasah, begat Sismai, and, Sismai, begat Shallum;
41 et Sallum engendra Jecamia et Jecamia engendra Elisama.
and, Shallum, begat Jekamiah, and, Jekamiah, begat Elishama.
42 Et les fils de Caleb, frère de Jérahmeël, furent: Meisa, son premier-né, qui est le père de Ziph, et les fils de Marésa, père d'Hébron.
Now, the sons of Caleb, brother of Jerahmeel, were, Mesha his firstborn, the same, was the father of Ziph, —and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.
43 Et les fils d'Hébron: Coré et Thappuach et Rékem et Sema.
And, the sons of Hebron, Korah and Tappuah, and Rekem and Shema.
44 Et Sema engendra Raham, père de Jorkeam, et Rékem engendra Sammaï.
And, Shema, begat Raham, the father of Jorkeam, —and, Rekem, begat Shammai.
45 Et le fils de Sammaï fut Maon et Maon fut le père de Bethsur.
And, the son of Shammai, was Maon, —and, Maon, was the father of Beth-zur.
46 Et Epha, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Haran et Motsa et Gazez. Et Haran engendra Gazez.
And, Ephah, the concubine of Caleb, bare Haran and Moza, and Gazez, —and, Haran, begat Gazez.
47 Et les fils de Jehdaï: Régem et Jotham et Geisan et Pélet et Epha et Saaph.
And, the sons of Jahdai, Regem and Jotham and Geshan and Pelet, and Ephah and Shaaph.
48 La concubine de Caleb, Maacha, enfanta Séber et Thirhana,
A concubine of Caleb, Maacah, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah;
49 et enfanta Saaph, père de Mademanna, Seva, père de Machbéna et père de Gibea. Et la fille de Caleb était Achsa.
she also bare Shaaph, father of Madmannah, Sheva, father of Machbena, and father of Gibea, —and, the daughter of Caleb, was Achsah.
50 Ceux-ci furent fils de Caleb: le fils de Hur, premier-né d'Ephrata, est Sobal, père de Kiriath-Jearim,
These, were the sons of Caleb, sons of Hur, firstborn of Ephrathah, —Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim;
51 Salma, père de Bethléhem, Hareph, père de Beth-Gader.
Salma, the father of Bethlehem, Hareph, the father of Beth-gader.
52 Et les fils de Sobal, père de Kiriath-Jearim, furent: Haroé, Hatsi, Hammenuhoth.
And Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons, —Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth.
53 Et les familles de Kiriath-Jearim sont: les Jéhirites, les Phuthites et les Sumathites et les Misraïtes; de ceux-ci sont issus les Tsorehatites et les Esthaülites.
And, the families of Kiriath-jearim, were the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites, —from these, came the Zorathites, and the Eshtaolites.
54 Les fils de Salma: Bethléhem et les Nétophatites, Ataroth, la maison de Joab et une moitié des Manachtites, les Tsoreïtes
The sons of Salma, were Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Atrothbeth-joab, —and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites;
55 et les familles des Secrétaires, des habitants de Jabets, des Thirathites, des Simeathites, des Suchohites. Ce sont les Kinnites issus de Hammath, père de la maison de Rechab.
and the families of scribes who dwelt at Jabez, the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. The same, are the Kenites who came in from Hammath, father of the house of Rechab.
