Psaumes 62
1 Mon âme se repose en Dieu seul; c'est de lui que vient mon salut.
For the end, a Psalm of David for Idithun. Shall not my soul be subjected to God? for of him is my salvation.
2 Lui seul est mon rocher, ma délivrance, ma haute retraite; je ne serai pas beaucoup ébranlé.
For he is my God, and my saviour; my helper, I shall not be moved very much.
3 Jusques à quand vous jetterez-vous sur un homme, pour le détruire tous ensemble, comme un mur qui penche, comme une clôture ébranlée?
How long will you assault a man? you are all slaughtering as with a bowed wall and a broken hedge.
4 Ils ne font que consulter pour le faire tomber de son élévation; ils se plaisent au mensonge; de leur bouche ils bénissent, mais dans leur cœur ils maudissent. (Sélah)
They only took counsel to set at nothing mine honour: I ran in thirst: with their mouth they blessed, but with their heart they cursed. (Pause)
5 Mon âme, repose-toi sur Dieu seul, car mon attente est en lui.
Nevertheless do you, my soul, be subjected to God; for of him [is] my patient hope.
6 Lui seul est mon rocher, ma délivrance et ma haute retraite; je ne serai point ébranlé.
For he [is] my God and my Saviour; my helper, I shall not be moved.
7 En Dieu est mon salut et ma gloire; mon fort rocher, mon refuge est en Dieu.
In God [is] my salvation and my glory: [he is] the God of my help, and my hope is in God.
8 Peuples, confiez-vous en lui en tout temps; répandez votre cœur devant lui; Dieu est notre retraite. (Sélah)
Hope in him, all you congregation of the people; pour out your hearts before him, for God is our helper. (Pause)
9 Les petits ne sont que néant; les grands ne sont que mensonge; placés dans la balance, ils seraient tous ensemble plus légers que le néant même.
But the sons of men are vain; the sons of men are false, so as to be deceitful in the balances; they are all alike [formed] out of vanity.
10 Ne vous confiez pas dans la violence, et ne soyez pas séduits par la rapine; si les richesses abondent, n'y mettez pas votre cœur.
Trust not in unrighteousness, and lust not after robberies: if wealth should flow in, set not your heart upon it.
11 Dieu a parlé une fois, et je l'ai entendu deux fois: c'est que la force appartient à Dieu.
God has spoken once, [and] I have heard these two things, that power is of God;
12 A toi aussi, Seigneur, la miséricorde! Oui, tu rendras à chacun selon son œuvre.
and mercy is your, O Lord; for you will recompense every one according to his works.
