Psaumes 54

1 Lorsque les Ziphiens vinrent dire à Saül: David n'est-il pas caché parmi nous? O Dieu, sauve-moi par ton nom, et fais-moi justice par ta puissance!

To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David, when the Ziphims came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us? Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.

2 O Dieu, écoute ma prière, prête l'oreille aux paroles de ma bouche!

Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.

3 Car des étrangers se sont élevés contre moi, et des hommes violents cherchent ma vie; ils n'ont point mis Dieu devant leurs yeux. (Sélah, pause)

For strangers have risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. (Selah)

4 Voici, Dieu est mon aide, le Seigneur est parmi ceux

Behold, God [is] my helper: the LORD [is] with them that uphold my soul.

5 Il fera retomber le mal sur mes ennemis. Selon ta fidélité, détruis-les.

He will reward evil to my enemies; cut them off in thy truth.

6 Je t'offrirai des sacrifices volontaires. Je célébrerai ton nom, ô Éternel! car il est bon.

I will freely sacrifice to thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for [it is] good.

7 Car il m'a délivré de toutes mes détresses, et mon œil a contemplé avec joie mes ennemis.

For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and my eye hath seen [its desire] upon my enemies.
