Psaumes 30
1 Je t'exalte, ô Éternel! Car tu m'as relevé, et tu n'as pas permis que mes ennemis se réjouissent à mon sujet.
Yahweh, I praise you because you rescued me. You did not allow [me to die], [with the result that] my enemies could gloat/rejoice.
2 Éternel, mon Dieu, j'ai crié à toi, et tu m'as guéri.
Yahweh, my God, I called out for you to help [me when I was ill], and you healed me.
3 Éternel, tu as fait remonter mon âme du Sépulcre; tu m'as rappelé à la vie, d'entre ceux qui descendent vers la fosse. (Sheol h7585)
You saved/restored me when I was dying [MTY]. I was nearly dead, but you caused me to get well again. (Sheol h7585)
4 Chantez à l'Éternel, vous, ses bien-aimés, et célébrez la mémoire de sa sainteté!
All you who belong to Yahweh, sing praise to him! Think about what [God], the holy one, has done, and thank him!
5 Car il n'y a qu'un moment dans sa colère, mais une vie dans sa faveur; les pleurs logent le soir, et le chant de triomphe revient le matin.
When he becomes angry, he is angry for only a very short time [HYP], but he is good [to us] all of our life. We may cry during the night, but the next morning we will be joyful.
6 Et moi, je disais dans ma prospérité: Je ne serai jamais ébranlé!
As for me, when I had no troubles, I said [to myself], “No one will defeat me!”
7 Éternel, par ta faveur, tu avais établi la force dans ma montagne. As-tu caché ta face? j'ai été tout éperdu.
Yahweh, because you were good to me, at first you caused me to be safe [as though I was inside] [MET] a mountain. But then [I became ill, and I thought that] you had turned away from me, and I became afraid.
8 Éternel, j'ai crié à toi; j'ai fait ma supplication à l'Éternel, disant:
[Then] I called out to you, and I pleaded for you [to help me].
9 Quel profit retireras-tu de mon sang, si je descends dans la fosse? La poussière te célébrera-t-elle? Annoncera-t-elle ta vérité?
[I said], “Yahweh, (what will you gain if I die?/ you won’t gain anything if I die) [MTY]. (In what way will it benefit you?/it won’t benefit you at all) if I go to the place where the dead people are [RHQ]. Dead people are certainly not able to praise you [RHQ], and they are not able to tell others that you are trustworthy [RHQ]!
10 Éternel, écoute, aie pitié de moi! Éternel, sois-moi en aide!
Yahweh, listen to me, and be merciful to me! Yahweh, help me!”
11 Tu as changé mon deuil en allégresse, tu as délié le sac dont j'étais couvert, tu m'as ceint de joie,
But [now you have healed me], and you have caused me to change from being sad to dancing [joyfully]. You have taken away the clothes that showed that I was very sad and you have given me clothes that showed that I was [very] joyful.
12 Afin que ma gloire chante ta louange, et ne se taise point. Éternel, mon Dieu, je te célébrerai à toujours.
So I will not be silent; I will sing out [loudly] to praise you. Yahweh, you are my God, and I will thank you forever.
