Psaumes 115
1 Non point à nous, Éternel, non point à nous, mais à ton nom donne gloire, à cause de ta bonté, à cause de ta vérité.
Not unto us, O Jehovah, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth's sake.
2 Pourquoi diraient les nations: Où donc est leur Dieu?
Wherefore should the nations say, Where then is their God?
3 Notre Dieu, il est dans les cieux; il fait tout ce qu'il lui plaît.
But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he pleased.
4 Leurs idoles sont de l'argent et de l'or, un ouvrage de mains d'homme.
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands:
5 Elles ont une bouche et ne parlent pas; elles ont des yeux, et ne voient pas.
They have a mouth, and they speak not; eyes have they, and they see not;
6 Elles ont des oreilles, et n'entendent pas; elles ont un nez et ne sentent pas;
They have ears, and they hear not; a nose have they, and they smell not;
7 Des mains, et ne touchent pas; des pieds, et ne marchent pas; elles ne rendent aucun son de leur gosier.
They have hands, and they handle not; feet have they, and they walk not; they give no sound through their throat.
8 Ceux qui les font, et tous ceux qui s'y confient, leur deviendront semblables.
They that make them are like unto them, — every one that confideth in them.
9 Israël, confie-toi en l'Éternel! Il est leur aide et leur bouclier.
O Israel, confide thou in Jehovah: he is their help and their shield.
10 Maison d'Aaron, confiez-vous en l'Éternel! Il est leur aide et leur bouclier.
House of Aaron, confide in Jehovah: he is their help and their shield.
11 Vous qui craignez l'Éternel, confiez-vous en l'Éternel! Il est leur aide et leur bouclier.
Ye that fear Jehovah, confide in Jehovah: he is their help and their shield.
12 L'Éternel s'est souvenu de nous; il bénira, il bénira la maison d'Israël; il bénira la maison d'Aaron.
Jehovah hath been mindful of us: he will bless, he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron;
13 Il bénira ceux qui craignent l'Éternel, tant les petits que les grands.
He will bless them that fear Jehovah, both the small and the great.
14 L'Éternel vous ajoutera des biens, à vous et à vos enfants.
Jehovah will add unto you more, unto you and unto your children.
15 Vous êtes bénis de l'Éternel, qui a fait les cieux et la terre.
Ye are blessed of Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth.
16 Quant aux cieux, les cieux sont à l'Éternel; mais il a donné la terre aux enfants des hommes.
The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah, but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
17 Les morts ne loueront point l'Éternel, ni tous ceux qui descendent au lieu du silence.
The dead praise not Jah, neither any that go down into silence;
18 Mais nous, nous bénirons l'Éternel, dès maintenant et à toujours. Louez l'Éternel!
But we will bless Jah from this time forth and for evermore. Hallelujah!
