Michée 3
1 Et je dis: Écoutez, chefs de Jacob, et vous, conducteurs de la maison d'Israël! N'est-ce pas à vous de connaître le droit?
Then said I, Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and ye judges of the house of Israel, —Is it not yours to know justice?
2 Vous qui haïssez le bien et qui aimez le mal, qui leur arrachez la peau et la chair de dessus les os!
Ye haters of right, and lovers of wrong, —tearing away their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
3 Ils dévorent la chair de mon peuple, lui enlèvent la peau, et lui brisent les os, et les mettent en pièces comme pour la marmite, et comme de la chair dans une chaudière.
Who indeed have eaten the flesh of my people, and, their skin from off them, have stript, and, their bones, have they broken in pieces, —and will spread them out, as flesh with a fork, and as flesh, in the midst of a pot.
4 Alors ils crieront à l'Éternel, mais il ne leur répondra pas; il leur cachera sa face en ce temps-là, parce que leurs actions ont été mauvaises.
Then, shall they make outcry unto Yahweh, but he will not answer them, —that he may hide his face from them, at that time, even as they have made wicked their doings.
5 Ainsi a dit l'Éternel contre les prophètes qui égarent mon peuple, qui publient la paix quand leurs dents ont de quoi mordre, et qui préparent la guerre contre celui qui ne leur met rien dans la bouche.
Thus, saith Yahweh, concerning the prophets who are leading astray my people, —who bite with their teeth, and then cry—Prosper! and whoso holdeth not to their mouth, they hallow against him a war!
6 C'est pourquoi, au lieu de vision vous aurez la nuit, au lieu de divination les ténèbres; le soleil se couchera sur les prophètes, et le jour s'obscurcira sur eux.
Therefore, shall it be night to you, for lack of vision, and darkness to you, for lack of divination, —and the sun, shall go in, over the prophets, and the day, shall be overcast because of them;
7 Les voyants seront confus, et les devins rougiront de honte; tous se couvriront la barbe, car il n'y aura point de réponse de Dieu.
And the men of vision, shall turn pale, and the diviners, shall blush, and shall put a covering upon their lip, all of them, —because there is no answer of God.
8 Mais moi, je suis rempli de force, de l'Esprit de l'Éternel, de jugement et de courage, pour déclarer à Jacob son crime et à Israël son péché.
But, in very deed, I, am full of vigour, with the spirit of Yahweh, and of justice and of valour, —to declare to Jacob, his transgression, and to Israel, his sin.
9 Écoutez ceci, chefs de la maison de Jacob, et vous, conducteurs de la maison d'Israël, qui avez la justice en abomination, et qui pervertissez tout ce qui est droit:
Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and ye judges of the house of Israel, —who abhor justice, and, all right, do pervert:
10 On bâtit Sion avec le sang, et Jérusalem avec l'iniquité!
Building Zion, with deeds of blood, —and Jerusalem, with perversity.
11 Ses chefs jugent pour des présents, ses sacrificateurs enseignent pour un salaire, et ses prophètes prédisent pour de l'argent; et ils s'appuient sur l'Éternel, disant: “L'Éternel n'est-il pas parmi nous? Le mal ne viendra pas sur nous! “
Her heads, for a bribe, pronounce sentence, and, her priests, for a price, give direction, and, her prophets, for silver, divine, —yet, on Yahweh, they lean, saying, Is not, Yahweh, in our midst? there shall not come upon us, calamity.
12 C'est pourquoi, à cause de vous, Sion sera labourée comme un champ, Jérusalem sera changée en un monceau de ruines, et la montagne du temple en une haute forêt.
Wherefore, for your sake, Zion, as a field, shall be ploughed, and, Jerusalem, unto heaps of ruins, shall be turned, —and, the mountain of the house, shall [be] like mounds in a jungle.
