Luc 22
1 La fête des pains sans levain, appelée la Pâque, approchait.
Now the feast of vnleauened bread drewe neere, which is called the Passeouer.
2 Et les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes cherchaient comment ils pourraient faire mourir Jésus; car ils craignaient le peuple.
And the hie Priests and Scribes sought how they might kill him: for they feared the people.
3 Or Satan entra dans Judas, surnommé l'Iscariote, qui était au nombre des douze;
Then entred Satan into Iudas, who was called Iscariot, and was of the nomber of the twelue.
4 Et il s'en alla, et parla avec les principaux sacrificateurs et les chefs des gardes, sur la manière dont il le leur livrerait.
And he went his way, and communed with the hie Priestes and captaines, how he might betray him to them.
5 Ils en eurent de la joie, et ils convinrent de lui donner de l'argent.
So they were glad, and agreed to giue him money.
6 Et il s'engagea. Et il cherchait une occasion propice de le leur livrer sans tumulte.
And he consented, and sought opportunitie to betraye him vnto them, when the people were away.
7 Cependant, le jour des pains sans levain arriva, dans lequel il fallait immoler la pâque,
Then came the day of vnleauened bread, when the Passeouer must be sacrificed.
8 Et Jésus envoya Pierre et Jean, en disant: Allez nous préparer la pâque, afin que nous la mangions.
And he sent Peter and Iohn, saying, Go and prepare vs the Passeouer, that we may eate it.
9 Ils lui dirent: Où veux-tu que nous la préparions?
And they saide to him, Where wilt thou, that we prepare it?
10 Et il leur dit: Lorsque vous entrerez dans la ville, vous rencontrerez un homme portant une cruche d'eau;
Then he said vnto them, Beholde, when ye be entred into the citie, there shall a man meete you, bearing a pitcher of water: folowe him into the house that he entreth in,
11 Suivez-le dans la maison où il entrera; et dites au maître de la maison: Le Maître te dit: Où est le lieu où je mangerai la pâque avec mes disciples?
And say vnto the good man of the house, The Master saith vnto thee, Where is the lodging where I shall eate my Passeouer with my disciples?
12 Et il vous montrera une grande chambre haute, toute meublée; préparez-y la pâque.
Then he shall shewe you a great hie chamber trimmed: there make it ready.
13 Eux donc s'en étant allés, trouvèrent tout comme il leur avait dit, et ils préparèrent la pâque.
So they went, and found as he had said vnto them, and made readie the Passeouer.
14 Et quand l'heure fut venue, il se mit à table, et les douze apôtres avec lui.
And when the houre was come, hee sate downe, and the twelue Apostles with him.
15 Et il leur dit: J'ai fort désiré de manger cette pâque avec vous, avant que je souffre.
Then he saide vnto them, I haue earnestly desired to eate this Passeouer with you, before I suffer.
16 Car je vous dis, que je ne la mangerai plus, jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit accomplie dans le royaume de Dieu.
For I say vnto you, Hencefoorth I will not eate of it any more, vntill it bee fulfilled in the kingdome of God.
17 Et ayant pris la coupe et rendu grâces, il dit: Prenez-la, et la distribuez entre vous.
And hee tooke the cup, and gaue thankes, and said, Take this, and deuide it among you,
18 Car je vous dis, que je ne boirai plus du fruit de la vigne, jusqu'à ce que le règne de Dieu soit venu.
For I say vnto you, I will not drinke of the fruite of the vine, vntill the kingdome of God be come.
19 Puis il prit du pain, et ayant rendu grâces, il le rompit et le leur donna, en disant: Ceci est mon corps, qui est donné pour vous; faites ceci en mémoire de moi.
And he tooke bread, and when he had giuen thankes, he brake it, and gaue to them, saying, This is my body, which is giuen for you: doe this in the remembrance of me.
20 De même, après avoir soupé, il leur donna la coupe, en disant: Cette coupe est la nouvelle alliance en mon sang, qui est répandu pour vous.
Likewise also after supper he tooke the cup, saying, This cup is that newe Testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
21 Au reste, voici, la main de celui qui me trahit est à cette table avec moi.
Yet beholde, the hand of him that betrayeth me, is with me at the table.
22 Pour ce qui est du Fils de l'homme, il s'en va, selon qu'il a été déterminé; mais malheur à cet homme par qui il est trahi.
And truely the Sonne of man goeth as it is appointed: but woe be to that man, by whom he is betrayed.
23 Et ils commencèrent à se demander les uns aux autres qui était celui d'entre eux qui ferait cela?
Then they began to enquire among themselues which of them it should be, that should do that.
24 Il arriva aussi une contestation entre eux, sur celui d'entre eux qui serait estimé le plus grand.
And there arose also a strife among them, which of them should seeme to be ye greatest.
25 Mais il leur dit: Les rois des nations les maîtrisent, et ceux qui exercent leur autorité sur elles sont nommés bienfaiteurs.
But hee saide vnto them, The Kings of the Gentiles reigne ouer them, and they that beare rule ouer them, are called bountifull.
26 Mais vous, ne faites point ainsi; et que le plus grand parmi vous, soit comme le plus petit; et celui qui gouverne, comme celui qui sert.
But yee shall not be so: but let the greatest among you be as the least: and the chiefest as he that serueth.
27 Car lequel est le plus grand, celui qui est à table, ou celui qui sert? n'est-ce pas celui qui est à table? et cependant je suis au milieu de vous comme celui qui sert.
For who is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serueth? Is not he that sitteth at table? And I am among you as he that serueth.
28 Or, pour vous, vous avez persévéré avec moi dans mes épreuves;
And yee are they which haue continued with me in my tentations.
29 Et je dispose du royaume en votre faveur, comme mon Père en a disposé en ma faveur;
Therefore I appoint vnto you a kingdome, as my Father hath appointed vnto me,
30 Afin que vous mangiez et que vous buviez à ma table dans mon royaume, et que vous soyez assis sur des trônes, jugeant les douze tribus d'Israël.
That ye may eate, and drinke at my table in my kingdome, and sit on seates, and iudge the twelue tribes of Israel.
31 Le Seigneur dit aussi: Simon, Simon, voici, Satan a demandé à vous cribler comme le froment.
And the Lord saide, Simon, Simon, beholde, Satan hath desired you, to winowe you as wheate.
32 Mais j'ai prié pour toi, que ta foi ne défaille point. Toi donc, quand tu seras converti, affermis tes frères.
But I haue prayed for thee, that thy faith faile not: therefore when thou art conuerted, strengthen thy brethren.
33 Et Pierre lui dit: Seigneur, je suis tout prêt à aller avec toi, et en prison et à la mort.
And he said vnto him, Lord, I am ready to goe with thee into prison, and to death.
34 Mais Jésus lui dit: Pierre, je te le dis, le coq ne chantera point aujourd'hui, que tu n'aies nié trois fois de me connaître.
But he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cocke shall not crowe this day, before thou hast thrise denied that thou knewest me.
35 Puis il leur dit: Lorsque je vous ai envoyés sans bourse, sans sac, et sans souliers, avez-vous manqué de quelque chose?
And he saide vnto them, When I sent you without bagge, and scrip, and shooes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
36 Et ils répondirent: De rien. Mais maintenant, leur dit-il, que celui qui a une bourse, la prenne; et de même celui qui a un sac;
Then he said to them, But nowe he that hath a bagge, let him take it, and likewise a scrip: and hee that hath none, let him sell his coate, and buy a sworde.
37 Et que celui qui n'a point d'épée, vende son manteau, et en achète une. Car je vous dis, qu'il faut encore que ce qui est écrit, soit accompli en moi: Il a été mis au rang des malfaiteurs. Et les choses qui me concernent vont arriver.
For I say vnto you, That yet the same which is written, must be perfourmed in me, Euen with the wicked was he nombred: for doubtlesse those things which are written of me, haue an ende.
38 Et ils dirent: Seigneur, voici deux épées. Et il leur dit: Cela suffit.
And they said, Lord, beholde, here are two swordes. And he said vnto them, It is ynough.
39 Puis Jésus étant sorti, s'en alla, selon sa coutume, à la montagne des Oliviers; et ses disciples le suivirent.
And he came out, and went (as he was wont) to the mount of Oliues: and his disciples also followed him.
40 Et quand il fut arrivé dans ce lieu, il leur dit: Priez, afin que vous ne tombiez pas dans la tentation.
And when hee came to the place, hee said to them, Pray, lest ye enter into tentation.
41 Alors il s'éloigna d'eux environ d'un jet de pierre, et s'étant mis à genoux, il priait,
And he was drawen aside from them about a stones cast, and kneeled downe, and prayed,
42 En disant: Père, si tu voulais éloigner cette coupe de moi! toutefois, que ma volonté ne se fasse point, mais la tienne.
Saying, Father, if thou wilt, take away this cuppe from mee: neuerthelesse, not my will, but thine be done.
43 Et un ange lui apparut du ciel pour le fortifier.
And there appeared an Angell vnto him from heauen, comforting him.
44 Et étant en agonie, il priait plus instamment; et il lui vint une sueur comme des grumeaux de sang, qui tombaient sur la terre.
But being in an agonie, hee prayed more earnestly: and his sweate was like drops of blood, trickling downe to the ground.
45 Et s'étant levé de sa prière, il vint vers ses disciples, qu'il trouva endormis de tristesse,
And he rose vp from prayer, and came to his disciples, and found them sleeping for heauinesse.
46 Et il leur dit: Pourquoi dormez-vous? Levez-vous et priez, afin que vous ne succombiez point à la tentation.
And he said vnto them, Why sleepe ye? rise and pray, least ye enter into tentation.
47 Comme il parlait encore, voici une troupe survint, et celui qui s'appelait Judas, l'un des douze, marchait devant eux; et il s'approcha de Jésus pour le baiser.
And while he yet spake, beholde, a companie, and he that was called Iudas one of the twelue, went before them, and came neere vnto Iesus to kisse him.
48 Mais Jésus lui dit: Judas, trahis-tu le Fils de l'homme par un baiser?
And Iesus saide vnto him, Iudas, betrayest thou the Sonne of man with a kisse?
49 Et ceux qui étaient autour de Jésus, voyant ce qui allait arriver, lui dirent: Seigneur, frapperons-nous de l'épée?
Now when they which were about him, saw what would follow, they said vnto him, Lord, shall we smite with sworde?
50 Et l'un d'eux frappa le serviteur du souverain sacrificateur, et lui emporta l'oreille droite. Mais Jésus, prenant la parole, dit: Arrêtez-vous.
And one of them smote a seruant of the hie Priest, and strooke off his right eare.
51 Et ayant touché l'oreille du serviteur, il le guérit.
Then Iesus answered, and said, Suffer them thus farre: and he touched his eare, and healed him.
52 Puis Jésus dit aux principaux sacrificateurs, aux capitaines du temple, et aux anciens qui étaient venus contre lui: Vous êtes sortis avec des épées et des bâtons, comme après un brigand.
Then Iesus said vnto the hie Priests, and captaines of the Temple, and the Elders which were come to him, Bee ye come out as vnto a theefe with swordes and staues?
53 J'étais tous les jours dans le temple avec vous, et vous n'avez point mis les mains sur moi. Mais c'est votre heure et la puissance des ténèbres.
When I was dayly with you in the Temple, yee stretched not foorth the handes against mee: but this is your very houre, and the power of darkenesse.
54 Alors ils le saisirent, et l'emmenèrent, et le firent entrer dans la maison du souverain sacrificateur. Et Pierre suivait de loin.
Then tooke they him, and led him, and brought him to the hie Priestes house. And Peter followed afarre off.
55 Et quand ils eurent allumé du feu au milieu de la cour, et qu'ils se furent assis ensemble, Pierre s'assit parmi eux.
And when they had kindled a fire in the middes of the hall, and were set downe together, Peter also sate downe among them.
56 Et une servante le voyant assis auprès du feu, et le regardant attentivement, dit:
And a certaine mayde behelde him as hee sate by the fire, and hauing well looked on him, said, This man was also with him.
57 Celui-ci était aussi avec cet homme. Mais il renia Jésus, en disant: Femme, je ne le connais point.
But he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.
58 Et peu après un autre l'ayant vu, dit: Tu es aussi de ces gens-là. Mais Pierre dit: O homme, je n'en suis point.
And after a little while, another man sawe him, and saide, Thou art also of them. But Peter said, Man, I am not.
59 Environ une heure après, un autre insistait en disant: Certainement, celui-là était aussi avec lui; car il est aussi Galiléen.
And about the space of an houre after, a certaine other affirmed, saying. Verely euen this man was with him: for he is also a Galilean.
60 Et Pierre dit: O homme, je ne sais ce que tu dis. Et au même instant, comme il parlait encore, le coq chanta.
And Peter saide, Man, I knowe not what thou sayest. And immediatly while hee yet spake, the cocke crewe.
61 Le Seigneur s'étant retourné, regarda Pierre; et Pierre se ressouvint de la parole du Seigneur, et comment il lui avait dit: Avant que le coq ait chanté, tu m'auras renié trois fois.
Then the Lord turned backe, and looked vpon Peter: and Peter remembred the worde of the Lord, how he had said vnto him, Before the cocke crowe, thou shalt denie me thrise.
62 Et Pierre étant sorti, pleura amèrement.
And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
63 Or, les hommes qui tenaient Jésus, se moquaient de lui et le frappaient;
And the men that helde Iesus, mocked him, and strooke him.
64 Et, l'ayant couvert d'un voile, ils lui donnaient des coups sur le visage, et lui disaient: Devine qui est celui qui t'a frappé?
And when they had blindfolded him, they smote him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophecie who it is that smote thee.
65 Et ils disaient beaucoup d'autres choses contre lui, en l'injuriant.
And many other thinges blasphemously spake they against him.
66 Et dès que le jour fut venu, le conseil des anciens du peuple, les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes s'assemblèrent et firent venir Jésus dans leur sanhédrin; et ils lui dirent:
And assoone as it was day, the Elders of the people, and the hie Priests and the Scribes came together, and led him into their councill,
67 Si tu es le Christ, dis-le-nous. Et il leur répondit: Si je vous le dis, vous ne le croirez point;
Saying, Art thou that Christ? tell vs. And he said vnto them, If I tell you, ye wil not beleeue it.
68 Et si je vous interroge aussi, vous ne me répondrez point, ni ne me laisserez point aller.
And if also I aske you, you will not answere me, nor let me goe.
69 Désormais le Fils de l'homme sera assis à la droite de la puissance de Dieu.
Hereafter shall the Sonne of man sit at the right hand of the power of God.
70 Alors ils dirent tous: Tu es donc le Fils de Dieu? Et il leur répondit: Vous le dites vous-mêmes; je le suis.
Then sayd they all, Art thou then ye Sonne of God? And he sayd to them, Ye say, that I am.
71 Alors ils dirent: Qu'avons-nous plus besoin de témoignage, puisque nous l'avons entendu nous-mêmes de sa bouche?
Then sayd they, What neede we any further witnes? for we our selues haue heard it of his owne mouth.
