Job 25

1 Et Bildad, de Shuach, prit la parole, et dit:

Then answered Bildad the Shuchite, and said,

2 L'empire et la terreur lui appartiennent, il fait règner la paix dans ses hauts lieux.

Dominion and dread are with him: he maketh peace in high places.

3 Ses cohortes se peuvent-elles compter, et sur qui sa lumière ne se lève-t-elle pas?

Can the number of his hosts be given? and over whom riseth not his light?

4 Et comment l'homme serait-il juste devant Dieu? Et comment celui qui est né de la femme serait-il pur?

How then can man be justified with God? or how can be one that is born of woman?

5 Voici, la lune même est sans éclat, et les étoiles ne sont pas pures à ses yeux.

Behold, even as regardeth the moon, that is not bright; yea, the stars are not pure in his eyes.

6 Combien moins l'homme qui n'est qu'un ver, et le fils de l'homme qui n'est qu'un vermisseau!

How much less the mortal, the mere worm? and the son of earth, the mere maggot?
