Jérémie 30
1 La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Éternel, en ces termes:
The worde, that came to Ieremiah from the Lord, saying,
2 Ainsi a parlé l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Écris dans un livre toutes les paroles que je t'ai dites.
Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the wordes, that I haue spoken vnto thee in a booke.
3 Car voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Éternel, où je ramènerai les captifs de mon peuple d'Israël et de Juda, a dit l'Éternel; je les ramènerai dans le pays que j'ai donné à leurs pères, et ils le posséderont.
For loe, the dayes come, saith the Lord, that I wil bring againe the captiuitie of my people Israel and Iudah, saith the Lord: for I will restore them vnto the lande, that I gaue to their fathers, and they shall possesse it.
4 Et ce sont ici les paroles que l'Éternel a prononcées pour Israël et Juda;
Againe, these are the wordes that the Lord spake concerning Israel, and concerning Iudah.
5 Car ainsi a dit l'Éternel: Nous entendons des cris d'effroi; c'est l'épouvante; et il n'y a point de paix!
For thus saith the Lord, wee haue heard a terrible voyce, of feare and not of peace.
6 Informez-vous, et voyez si un mâle enfante. Pourquoi vois-je tout homme les mains sur les reins, comme une femme en travail? Et pourquoi tous les visages sont-ils devenus livides?
Demand now and beholde, if man trauayle with childe? wherefore doe I beholde euery man with his hands on his loynes as a woman in trauaile, and all faces are turned into a palenesse?
7 Hélas! c'est que cette journée est grande, et qu'il n'y en a point eu de semblable. C'est un temps de détresse pour Jacob! Pourtant il en sera délivré.
Alas, for this day is great: none hath bene like it: it is euen the time of Iaakobs trouble, yet shall he be deliuered from it.
8 Et en ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel des armées, je briserai son joug de dessus ton cou, et je romprai tes liens; et les étrangers ne t'asserviront plus.
For in that day, sayth the Lord of hostes, I will breake his yoke from off thy necke, and breake thy bondes, and strangers shall no more serue themselues of him.
9 Ils serviront l'Éternel leur Dieu et David leur roi, que je leur susciterai.
But they shall serue the Lord their God, and Dauid their King, whom I will raise vp vnto them.
10 Toi donc, mon serviteur Jacob, ne crains point, dit l'Éternel; ne t'épouvante pas, Israël! car voici, je te délivrerai de la terre lointaine, et ta postérité du pays de leur captivité. Alors Jacob reviendra, et il sera tranquille et à l'aise, et il n'y aura personne qui le trouble.
Therefore feare not, O my seruant Iaakob, saith the Lord, neither be afrayde, O Israel: for loe, I will deliuer thee from a farre countrey, and thy seede from the lande of their captiuitie, and Iaakob shall turne againe, and shalbe in rest and prosperitie and none shall make him afraide.
11 Car je suis avec toi, dit l'Éternel, pour te délivrer. Je détruirai entière-ment toutes les nations parmi lesquelles je t'ai dispersé; mais toi, je ne te détruirai point entièrement; je te châtierai avec mesure; cependant je ne te tiendrai pas pour innocent.
For I am with thee, sayth the Lord, to saue thee: though I vtterly destroy all the nations where I haue scattered thee, yet will I not vtterly destroy thee, but I will correct thee by iudgement, and not vtterly cut thee off.
12 Car ainsi a dit l'Éternel: Ta blessure est incurable; ta plaie est sans espoir.
For thus saith the Lord, Thy bruising is incurable, and thy wound is dolorous.
13 Nul ne prend ton parti, pour bander ta plaie; il n'y a pour toi nul remède, nul moyen de guérison.
There is none to iudge thy cause, or to lay a plaister: there are no medicines, nor help for thee.
14 Tous ceux qui t'aiment t'ont oubliée; ils ne s'inquiètent plus de toi; car je t'ai frappée comme frappe un ennemi, comme châtie un homme cruel, à cause de la multitude de tes iniquités, parce que tes péchés se sont accrus.
All thy louers haue forgotten thee: they seeke thee not: for I haue striken thee with the wound of an enemie, and with a sharpe chastisement for ye multitude of thine iniquities, because thy sinnes were increased.
15 Pourquoi cries-tu pour ta blessure? Ta douleur est incurable. C'est pour la grandeur de ton iniquité, parce que tes péchés se sont accrus, que je t'ai fait ces choses.
Why cryest thou for thine affliction? thy sorowe is incurable, for the multitude of thine iniquities: because thy sinnes were increased, I haue done these things vnto thee.
16 Cependant tous ceux qui te dévorent seront dévorés, et tous tes oppresseurs, tous, s'en iront en captivité; ceux qui te dépouillent seront dépouillés, et je livrerai au pillage tous ceux qui te pillent.
Therefore all they that deuoure thee, shall be deuoured, and all thine enemies euery one shall goe into captiuitie: and they that spoyle thee, shalbe spoyled, and all they that robbe thee, wil I giue to be robbed.
17 Mais je consoliderai tes plaies et je te guérirai, dit l'Éternel; car ils t'ont appelée la répudiée: c'est Sion, dont nul ne s'enquiert!
For I will restore health vnto thee, and I will heale thee of thy woundes, saith the Lord, because they called thee, The cast away, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
18 Ainsi a dit l'Éternel: Voici je ramène les captifs des tentes de Jacob, et j'ai compassion de ses demeures; la ville sera rebâtie sur sa hauteur, et le palais habité selon l'usage.
Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will bring againe the captiuitie of Iaakobs tentes, and haue compassion on his dwelling places: and the citie shalbe builded vpon her owne heape, and the palace shall remaine after the maner thereof.
19 Et il en sortira des chants de louange et des cris de réjouissance. Je les multiplierai, et ils ne diminueront pas; je les honorerai, et ils ne seront pas avilis.
And out of them shall proceede thankesgiuing, and the voyce of them that are ioyous, and I will multiplie them, and they shall not bee fewe: I will also glorifie them, and they shall not be diminished.
20 Ses fils seront comme autrefois, son assemblée sera affermie devant moi, et je punirai tous ceux qui l'oppriment.
Their children also shall be as afore time, and their congregation shall be established before me: and I will visite all that vexe them.
21 Et son chef sera pris de lui, et son dominateur sera issu de son sein. Je le ferai approcher, et il viendra vers moi; car qui est celui qui exposerait son cœur à s'approcher de moi? dit l'Éternel.
And their noble ruler shall be of themselues, and their gouernour shall proceede from the middes of them, and I will cause him to draw neere, and approche vnto me: for who is this that directeth his heart to come vnto mee, saith the Lord?
22 Et vous serez mon peuple, et je serai votre Dieu.
And ye shall be my people, and I will bee your God.
23 Voici, la tempête de l'Éternel, la fureur éclate, et l'orage prêt à fondre tombera sur la tête des méchants.
Beholde, the tempest of the Lord goeth foorth with wrath: the whirlewinde that hangeth ouer, shall light vpon the head of the wicked.
24 L'ardeur de la colère de l'Éternel ne se détournera pas, jusqu'à ce qu'il ait exécuté et accompli les desseins de son cœur. Vous entendrez ceci dans les derniers jours.
The fierce wrath of the Lord shall not returne, vntill he haue done, and vntill he haue performed the intents of his heart: in the latter dayes ye shall vnderstand it.
