Isaïe 42
1 Voici mon serviteur, celui que je soutiendrai, mon élu, en qui mon âme prend plaisir. J'ai mis sur lui mon Esprit; il manifestera la justice aux nations.
Here! servant my [whom] I support him chosen one my [whom] it is pleased with self my I have put spirit my on him justice to the nations he will bring forth.
2 Il ne criera point; il n'élèvera point sa voix, et ne la fera point entendre dans les rues.
Not he will cry out and not he will lift up and not he will make heard in the street voice his.
3 Il ne brisera pas le roseau cassé, et n'éteindra pas le lumignon qui fume encore; il manifestera la justice avec vérité.
A reed crushed not he will break and a wick dim not he will extinguish it to faithfulness he will bring forth justice.
4 Il ne se ralentira ni ne se précipitera point, jusqu'à ce qu'il ait établi la justice sur la terre; et les îles espéreront en sa loi.
Not he will grow dim and not he will be crushed until he will establish on the earth justice and for instruction his islands they will wait.
5 Ainsi a dit le Dieu, l'Éternel, qui a créé les cieux et les a déployés, qui a étendu la terre avec tout ce qu'elle produit; qui donne la respiration au peuple qui est sur elle, et le souffle à ceux qui y marchent:
Thus he says God - Yahweh [who] created the heavens and [who] stretched out them [who] spread out the earth and produce its [who] gives breath to the people on it and spirit to [those who] walk on it.
6 Moi, l'Éternel, je t'ai appelé dans la justice; je te prendrai par la main, je te garderai; je te donnerai pour alliance au peuple, et pour lumière aux nations,
I Yahweh I have called you in righteousness and I may take hold on hand your and I may watch over you and I may make you a covenant of [the] people a light of [the] nations.
7 Pour ouvrir les yeux des aveugles, pour faire sortir de prison le captif, et du cachot ceux qui habitent dans les ténèbres.
To open eyes blind to bring out from prison prisoner[s] from a house of imprisonment [those who] dwell of darkness.
8 Je suis l'Éternel; tel est mon nom, je ne donnerai point ma gloire à un autre, ni ma louange aux idoles.
I [am] Yahweh that [is] name my and glory my to another not I will give and praise my to images.
9 Voici, les premières choses sont arrivées, et j'en annonce de nouvelles; je vous les fais entendre avant qu'elles arrivent.
The former [things] there! they have come and new [things] I [am] about to tell before they will spring up I will cause to hear [them] you.
10 Chantez à l'Éternel un cantique nouveau! Chantez sa louange de l'extrémité de la terre, vous qui voguez sur la mer, et tout ce qui y est, les îles et leurs habitants!
Sing to Yahweh a song new praise his from [the] end of the earth O [those who] go down the sea and what fills it O islands and inhabitants their.
11 Que le désert et ses villes élèvent la voix, et les tentes qu'habite Kédar! Que les habitants des rochers chantent de joie! Que du sommet des montagnes on pousse des cris!
Let them lift up [the] wilderness and cities its [the] villages [where] it dwells Kedar let them shout for joy [the] inhabitants of Sela from [the] top of [the] mountains let them cry aloud.
12 Qu'ils rendent gloire à l'Éternel, et publient sa louange dans les îles!
Let them give to Yahweh glory and praise his in the islands let them declare.
13 L'Éternel sortira comme un héros; il réveillera son ardeur comme un homme de guerre; il poussera des cris terribles; il déploiera sa force sur ses ennemis.
Yahweh like warrior he will go forth like a man of war he will stir up zeal he will raise a war-cry also he will raise a battle-shout over enemies his he will prevail.
14 Je me suis tu dès longtemps, j'ai gardé le silence, je me suis contenu; mais je crierai comme celle qui enfante, je serai haletant et je respirerai à la fois.
I have been silent from a long time I have kept silent I have restrained myself like [woman] giving birth I groan I puff and I may pant together.
15 Je dévasterai montagnes et coteaux, et je dessécherai toute leur verdure; je changerai les fleuves en terre ferme, et je dessécherai les étangs.
I will lay waste mountains and hills and all vegetation their I will dry up and I will make rivers islands and pools I will dry up.
16 Je ferai marcher les aveugles par un chemin qu'ils ne connaissent pas; je les conduirai par des sentiers inconnus; je changerai devant eux les ténèbres en lumière, et les lieux montueux en plaine. Je leur ferai cela, et ne les abandonnerai point.
And I will lead blind [people] by a way [which] not they have known by paths [which] not they have known I will guide them I will make [the] dark place before them light and rough places level ground these [are] the things [which] I will do them and not I will abandon them.
17 Mais ils reculeront et seront couverts de honte, ceux qui se fient aux images taillées, qui disent aux idoles de fonte: Vous êtes nos dieux!
They will be turned back backwards they will be ashamed shame those [who] trust in idol those [who] say to a molten image you [are] god our.
18 Sourds, écoutez; et vous, aveugles, regardez et voyez!
O deaf [people] listen and O blind [people] look to see.
19 Qui est aveugle sinon mon serviteur, et sourd comme le messager que j'envoie? Qui est aveugle comme celui qui fut comblé de biens, aveugle comme le serviteur de l'Éternel?
Who? [is] blind that except servant my and deaf like messenger my [whom] I will send who? [is] blind like [one] in a covenant and blind like [the] servant of Yahweh.
20 Tu as vu beaucoup de choses, mais tu n'y as pas pris garde; vous avez les oreilles ouvertes, et vous n'entendez rien.
(You have seen *Q(K)*) many [things] and not you keep [them] they are open ears and not he listens.
21 L'Éternel s'est plu, à cause de sa justice, à donner une loi grande et magnifique.
Yahweh he was pleased for [the] sake of righteousness his he will make great [the] law so he may make [it] glorious.
22 Et cependant, c'est un peuple pillé et dépouillé; on les a tous enchaînés dans des fosses et enfouis dans des prisons; ils sont livrés en proie, et nul ne les délivre; ils sont dépouillés, et nul ne dit: Rends-le nous!
And it [is] a people despoiled and plundered they are trapped in holes all of them and in houses of imprisonment they are hidden they have become spoil and there not [is] a deliverer plunder and there not [is one who] says bring [it] back.
23 Qui parmi vous prêtera l'oreille à ceci, pour écouter et pour entendre à l'avenir?
Who? among you will he give ear to this will he pay attention? and he may listen? to afterwards.
24 Qui a livré Jacob en proie, et Israël à ceux qui l'ont pillé? N'est-ce pas l'Éternel, contre qui nous avons péché, dont ils n'ont pas voulu suivre les voies, dont ils n'ont point écouté la loi?
Who? has he given (to plunder *Q(K)*) Jacob and Israel to despoilers ¿ not [was it] Yahweh whom we have sinned to him and not they were willing in ways his to walk and not they listened to law his.
25 Aussi a-t-il répandu sur Israël l'ardeur de sa colère, la violence de la guerre; elle l'a embrasé de toutes parts, et il n'a point compris; elle l'a consumé, et il n'y a point fait attention.
And he poured out on it rage anger his and [the] fierceness of battle and it set ablaze it from round about and not it knew and it burned it and not it put [it] on heart.
