Ézéchiel 47

1 Ensuite il me ramena vers l'entrée de la maison; et voici, des eaux sortaient sous le seuil de la maison, du côté de l'Orient; car la façade de la maison regardait l'Orient, et ces eaux descendaient de dessous le côté droit de la maison, au Midi de l'autel.

And he brought me back again unto the door of the house: and, behold, water was issuing out from under the threshold of the house eastward; for the front of the house stood toward the east; and the water came down from under [the threshold], from the right side of the house, to the south of the altar.

2 Il me fit sortir par le chemin de la porte du Nord, et me fit tourner par le chemin du dehors, jusqu'à la porte extérieure, un chemin qui regardait l'Orient; et voici, les eaux coulaient du côté droit.

Then did he bring me out by the way of the gate northwards and led me about the way without unto the outer gate by the way that looked eastward: and, behold, the water was running on the right side.

3 Quand l'homme s'avança vers l'Orient, il tenait en sa main un cordeau, et mesura mille coudées; il me fit passer au travers des eaux, et j'en avais jusqu'aux chevilles.

When the man went forth eastward, having the measuring-line in his hand, he measured a thousand cubits, and he led me through the water, the water reaching to the ankles.

4 Il mesura encore mille coudées, et me fit traverser les eaux, qui me venaient jusqu'aux deux genoux; il mesura encore mille coudées, et me fit traverser les eaux: elles atteignaient mes reins.

Again he measured a thousand [cubits], and led me through the water, the water reaching to the knees. Again he measured a thousand [cubits], and led me through, the water reaching to the loins.

5 Il mesura mille autres coudées: c'était un torrent, que je ne pouvais traverser; car ces eaux s'étaient enflées, et il fallait les passer à la nage; c'était un torrent qu'on ne pouvait traverser.

And he measured again a thousand [cubits], it being a stream that I could not wade through; for the water was increased, being water fit to swim in, a stream that could not be waded through.

6 Alors il me dit: Fils de l'homme, as-tu vu? Puis il me fit aller et revenir vers le bord du torrent.

And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this: Then did he lead me, and caused me to return to the bank of the stream.

7 Quand j'y fus retourné, je vis des deux côtés, sur le bord du torrent, un fort grand nombre d'arbres.

Now when I returned, behold, there were at the banks of the stream very many trees, on the one side and on the other.

8 Il me dit: Ces eaux vont se rendre dans le district oriental; elles descendront dans la plaine, et entreront dans la mer; et lorsqu'elles se seront jetées dans la mer, les eaux de la mer en deviendront saines.

Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the eastern district, and go down into the plain, and fall into the sea, [the waters] being carried forth into the sea, so that the waters shall be healed.

9 Tout être vivant qui se meut, vivra partout où le torrent coulera, et il y aura une fort grande quantité de poissons; et là où ces eaux arriveront, les eaux deviendront saines, et tout vivra où arrivera ce torrent.

And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the double-stream shall come, shall live: and the fish shall be [therein] in great abundance; for when this water shall have come thither, [the waters of the sea] shall be healed, and every thing shall live whither the stream cometh.

10 Les pêcheurs se tiendront le long de cette mer; depuis En-Guédi jusqu'à En-Églaïm on étendra les filets, et le poisson sera fort nombreux, chacun selon son espèce, comme le poisson de la grande mer.

And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand by it; from 'En-gedi even unto 'En-'eglayim, there shall be places for the spreading out of nets: after their various kinds shall the fish thereof be, like the fish of the great sea, exceedingly many.

11 Ses marais et ses fosses ne seront point assainis; ils seront abandonnés au sel.

But its swamps and its lagoons shall not be healed, for [the production of] salt are they destined.

12 Et près de ce torrent, sur ses bords, des deux côtés, croîtront des arbres fruitiers de toute espèce, dont le feuillage ne se flétrira point, et dont les fruits ne cesseront point; chaque mois, ils en produiront de nouveaux, parce que les eaux sortiront du sanctuaire; leur fruit sera bon à manger, et leur feuillage servira de remède.

And by the stream upon its banks, on this side and on that side, shall grow up all kinds of trees for food, the leaves of which shall not fade, and the fruit of which shall not come to an end, every month shall they bring forth new ripe fruit; because its water is that which issueth out of the sanctuary; and their fruit shall serve for food, and their leaves for remedies.

13 Ainsi a dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Voici les frontières du pays que vous distribuerez en héritage aux douze tribus d'Israël; Joseph aura deux portions.

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, This shall be the boundary, whereby ye shall divide out the land unto the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

14 Vous en aurez tous également la possession, parce que j'ai promis, la main levée, de le donner à vos pères, et ce pays-là vous tombera en partage.

And ye shall inherit it, every one like the other, [the land] concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for an inheritance.

15 Voici la frontière du pays du côté du Nord: depuis la grande mer, le chemin de Hethlon jusqu'à Tsédad,

And this shall be the boundary of the land: On the north side, from the great sea, the road to Chethlon, as far as to Zedad;

16 Hamath, Béroth et Sibraïm, entre la frontière de Damas et celle de Hamath, Hatser-Hatthicon vers la frontière de Havran;

Chamath, Berothah, Sibrayim, which is between the boundary of Damascus and the boundary of Chamath; Chazar-hattichon, which is by the boundary of Chavran.

17 Ainsi la frontière sera, depuis la mer, Hatsar-Énon, la frontière de Damas, Tsaphon au Nord et la frontière de Hamath; ce sera le côté septentrional.

And the boundary shall be from the sea to Chazar-'enon, the boundary of Damascus, and the northern part on the north, and the boundary of Chamath. And this is the north side.

18 Le côté oriental s'étendra entre Havran, Damas, Galaad et le pays d'Israël, le long du Jourdain; vous mesurerez depuis la frontière septentrionale jusqu'à la mer orientale; ce sera le côté oriental.

And the east side shall ye measure between Chavran and Damascus [on the one side], and between Gil'ad and the land of Israel [on the other side] by the Jordan, from the [north] boundary unto the east sea. And this is the east side.

19 Le côté méridional, le Midi, ira depuis Thamar jusqu'aux eaux de contestation de Kadès, le long du torrent, jusqu'à la grande mer; ce sera là le côté méridional, le Midi.

And the south side; on the south, from Thamar even to the waters of contention at Kadesh, toward the brook [flowing] into the Great Sea. And this is the south side on the south.

20 Le côté occidental sera la grande mer, depuis la frontière Sud jusqu'à l'entrée de Hamath; ce sera le côté occidental.

And the west side shall be the great sea from the [southern] boundary, as far as straight up to Chamath. This is the west side.

21 Vous partagerez ce pays entre vous, selon les tribus d'Israël;

And ye shall divide this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel.

22 Vous le distribuerez par le sort, en héritage, à vous et aux étrangers qui habitent au milieu de vous et qui engendreront des enfants parmi vous. Ils seront pour vous comme celui qui est né au pays parmi les enfants d'Israël; ils partageront au sort avec vous l'héritage parmi les tribus d'Israël.

And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance among yourselves, and to the strangers that sojourn in the midst of you, who shall have begotten children in the midst of you; and they shall be unto you as the native born among the children of Israel: with you shall they obtain an inheritance in the midst of the tribes of Israel.

23 Et vous assignerez à l'étranger son héritage dans la tribu dans laquelle il sera domicilié, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.

And it shall come to pass that in whatever tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord Eternal.
