Ézéchiel 2
1 Et il me fut dit: Fils de l'homme, tiens-toi sur tes pieds, et je te parlerai.
And he seide to me, Thou, sone of man, stonde on thi feet, and Y schal speke with thee.
2 Dès qu'il m'eut parlé, l'Esprit entra en moi, et me fit tenir debout, et j'entendis celui qui me parlait.
And the spirit entride in to me, after that he spak to me, and settide me on my feet. And Y herde oon spekynge to me,
3 Fils de l'homme, me dit-il, je t'envoie vers les enfants d'Israël, vers ces nations rebelles qui se sont révoltées contre moi; eux et leurs pères ont péché contre moi jusqu'à aujourd'hui même.
and seiynge, Sone of man, Y sende thee to the sones of Israel, to folkis apostatas, `ether goynge a bak fro feith, that yeden awei fro me; the fadris of hem braken my couenaunt til to this dai.
4 Ce sont des enfants à la face impudente et au cœur obstiné, vers lesquels je t'envoie; tu leur diras: Ainsi a parlé le Seigneur, l'Éternel!
And the sones ben of hard face, and of vnchastisable herte, to whiche Y sende thee. And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord God seith these thingis;
5 Et soit qu'ils écoutent, soit qu'ils n'en fassent rien, - car c'est une maison rebelle, - ils sauront du moins qu'un prophète est au milieu d'eux.
if perauenture nameli thei heren, and if perauenture thei resten, for it is an hous terrynge to wraththe. And thei schulen wite, that a profete is in the myddis of hem.
6 Mais toi, fils de l'homme, ne les crains point et ne crains point leurs paroles; bien que tu sois au milieu des épines et des ronces, et que tu demeures parmi des scorpions, ne crains point leurs paroles, et ne t'effraie pas de leur visage, quoiqu'ils soient une maison rebelle.
Therfore thou, sone of man, drede not hem, nether drede thou the wordis of hem; for vnbileueful men and distrieris ben with thee, and thou dwellist with scorpiouns. Drede thou not the wordis of hem, and drede thou not the faces of hem, for it is an hous terrynge to wraththe.
7 Tu leur annonceras donc mes paroles, soit qu'ils écoutent, soit qu'ils n'en fassent rien, car ils ne sont que rébellion.
Therfor thou schalt speke my wordis to hem, if perauenture thei heren, and resten, for thei ben terreris to wraththe.
8 Mais toi, fils de l'homme, écoute ce que je vais te dire et ne sois point rebelle, comme cette maison rebelle; ouvre la bouche, et mange ce que je vais te donner.
But thou, sone of man, here what euer thingis Y schal speke to thee; and nyle thou be a terrere to wraththe, as the hows of Israel is a terrere to wraththe. Opene thi mouth, and ete what euer thingis Y yyue to thee.
9 Alors je regardai, et voici une main étendue vers moi, qui tenait un livre en rouleau.
And Y siy, and lo! an hond was sent to me, in which a book was foldid togidere.
10 Elle le déploya devant moi, et il était écrit, au-dedans et au-dehors; des lamentations, des plaintes et des gémissements y étaient écrits.
And he spredde abrood it bifor me, that was writun with ynne and with outforth. And lamentaciouns, and song, and wo, weren writun ther ynne.
