1 Chroniques 16
1 Ils amenèrent donc l'arche de Dieu, et la placèrent dans la tente que David lui avait dressée; et on offrit des holocaustes et des sacrifices de prospérités devant Dieu.
Therfor thei brouyten the arke of God, and settiden it in the myddis of the tabernacle, that Dauid hadde araied therto; and thei offriden brent sacrifices and pesible sacrifices bifor the Lord.
2 Et quand David eut achevé d'offrir les holocaustes et les sacrifices de prospérités, il bénit le peuple au nom de l'Éternel.
And whanne Dauid offrynge brent sacrifices and pesible sacrifices hadde fillid, he blesside the puple in the name of the Lord;
3 Et il distribua à tous les Israélites, hommes et femmes, à chacun un pain, une portion de viande et un gâteau de raisins.
and departide to alle to ech bi hym silf fro a man til to a womman o cake of breed, and a part of rostid fleisch of a bugle, and flour fried in oile.
4 Et il établit des Lévites devant l'arche de l'Éternel, pour faire le service, pour célébrer, pour louer, et pour magnifier l'Éternel, Dieu d'Israël:
And he ordeynede bifor the arke of the Lord, of the Leuytis, that schulden mynystre, and haue mynde of the werkis of the Lord, and glorifie and preyse the Lord God of Israel;
5 Asaph, le chef; Zacharie, le second après lui, Jéiel, Shémiramoth, Jéhiel, Matthithia, Éliab, Bénaja, Obed-Édom, et Jeïel, avec des instruments de musique, des lyres et des harpes; et Asaph faisait retentir les cymbales.
`he ordeynede Asaph the prince, and Zacharie his secounde; forsothe `he ordeynede Jahiel, and Semiramoth, and Jahel, and Mathathie, and Eliab, and Banaye, and Obededom, and Jehiel, on the orguns, on the sautrie, and on the harpis; but he ordeynede Asaph to sowne with cymbalis;
6 Bénaja et Jachaziel, sacrificateurs, étaient continuellement avec des trompettes devant l'arche de l'alliance de Dieu.
sotheli he ordeynede Banaye and Aziel, preestis, bifor the arke of the boond of pees of the Lord, for to trumpe contynueli.
7 Ce jour-là, pour la première fois, David chargea Asaph et ses frères de célébrer l'Éternel, comme suit:
In that dai Dauid made Asaph prince, and hise britheren, for to knowleche `to the Lord.
8 Célébrez l'Éternel, invoquez son nom! Faites connaître parmi les peuples ses hauts faits!
Knowleche ye to the Lord, and inwardli clepe ye his name; make ye hise fyndyngis knowun among puplis.
9 Chantez-lui, psalmodiez-lui! Parlez de toutes ses merveilles!
Synge ye to hym, and seie ye salm to hym, and telle ye alle his merueylis.
10 Glorifiez-vous de son saint nom! Que le cœur de ceux qui cherchent l'Éternel se réjouisse!
Preise ye his hooli name; the herte of men sekynge the Lord be glad.
11 Recherchez l'Éternel et sa force; cherchez continuellement sa face!
Seke ye the Lord and his vertu; seke ye euere his face.
12 Souvenez-vous des merveilles qu'il a faites, de ses miracles, et des jugements de sa bouche,
Haue ye mynde of hise merueilis whiche he dide; of hise signes, and of the domes of his mouth.
13 Vous, postérité d'Israël, son serviteur, enfants de Jacob, ses élus!
The seed of Israel, his seruaunt, preise thou God; the sones of Jacob, his chosun, preise ye God.
14 C'est lui, l'Éternel, qui est notre Dieu; ses jugements sont sur toute la terre.
He is `oure Lord God; hise domes ben in ech lond.
15 Souvenez-vous toujours de son alliance, de sa promesse établie pour mille générations;
Haue ye mynde with outen ende of his couenaunt; of the word whiche he couenauntide `in to a thousynde generaciouns.
16 Du traité qu'il fit avec Abraham, du serment qu'il fit à Isaac,
Which word he couenauntide with Abraham; and of his ooth to Ysaac.
17 Et qu'il a confirmé à Jacob, pour être un statut, à Israël, pour être une alliance éternelle,
And he ordeynede that to Jacob in to a comaundement; and to Israel in to euerlastynge couenaunt.
18 En disant: Je te donnerai le pays de Canaan; c'est le lot de votre héritage;
And seide, To thee Y schal yyue the lond of Canaan; the part of youre erytage.
19 Lorsqu'ils n'étaient qu'une poignée de gens, peu nombreux et étrangers dans le pays,
Whanne thei weren fewe in noumbre; litle, and pilgrims therof.
20 Allant de nation en nation et d'un royaume vers un autre peuple.
And thei passiden fro folk in to the folk; and fro a rewme to another puple.
21 Il ne permit à personne de les opprimer, et il châtia des rois à cause d'eux,
He suffride not ony man falseli chalenge hem; but he blamyde kyngis for hem.
22 Disant: Ne touchez pas à mes oints, et ne faites point de mal à mes prophètes.
Nyle ye touche my cristis; and nyle ye do wickidli ayens my prophetis.
23 Vous, toute la terre, chantez à l'Éternel; annoncez de jour en jour son salut;
Al erthe, singe ye to the Lord; telle ye fro dai into dai his helthe.
24 Racontez sa gloire parmi les nations, ses merveilles parmi tous les peuples.
Telle ye among hethen men his glorie; hise merueylis among alle puplis.
25 Car l'Éternel est grand, et digne de grandes louanges; il est redoutable par-dessus tous les dieux.
For the Lord is greet, and worthi to be preisid ful myche; and he is orible, `ethir griseful, ouer alle goddis.
26 Car tous les dieux des peuples sont des idoles! mais l'Éternel a fait les cieux.
For alle the goddis of puplis ben idols; but the Lord made heuenes.
27 La splendeur et la majesté sont devant lui; la force et la joie sont dans sa Demeure.
Knoulechyng and greet doyng ben bifor hym; strengthe and ioy ben in the place of hym.
28 Rendez à l'Éternel, familles des peuples, rendez à l'Éternel la gloire et la force!
Ye meynees of puplis, `bringe ye to the Lord; brynge ye to the Lord glorie and empire.
29 Rendez à l'Éternel la gloire due à son nom. Apportez des offrandes, et présentez-vous devant lui; prosternez-vous devant l'Éternel avec des ornements sacrés!
Yyue ye glorie to his name, reise ye sacrifice, and come ye in his siyt; and worschipe ye the Lord in hooli fairnesse.
30 Tremblez devant lui, vous, toute la terre. Le monde est ferme et ne chancelle point.
Al erthe be mouyd fro his face; for he foundide the world vnmouable.
31 Que les cieux se réjouissent, et que la terre tressaille de joie; qu'on dise parmi les nations: L'Éternel règne!
Heuenes be glad, and the erthe `ioy fulli; and seie thei among naciouns, The Lord schal regne.
32 Que la mer retentisse, avec tout ce qu'elle contient; que les campagnes s'égaient, avec tout ce qui est en elles!
The see thundre, and his fulnesse; the feeldis fulli ioye, and alle thingis that ben in tho.
33 Que les arbres des forêts chantent de joie devant l'Éternel! Car il vient pour juger la terre.
Thanne the trees of the forest schulen preyse bifor the Lord; for he cometh to deme the erthe.
34 Célébrez l'Éternel, car il est bon, car sa miséricorde demeure à toujours!
Knouleche ye to the Lord, for he is good; for his mersi is withouten ende.
35 Dites: Sauve-nous, Dieu de notre salut! Rassemble-nous, et nous retire d'entre les nations, afin que nous célébrions ton saint nom, et que nous nous glorifiions dans tes louanges.
And seie ye, Thou God oure sauyour, saue vs, and gadere vs, and delyuere vs fro hethen men; that we knowleche to thin hooli name, and be fulli glade in thi songis.
36 Béni soit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, de siècle en siècle! Et tout le peuple dit: Amen, et loua l'Éternel.
Blessid be the Lord God of Israel fro with oute bigynnyng and til `in to with outen ende; and al the puple seie, Amen, and seie heriyng to God.
37 Puis David laissa là, devant l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel, Asaph et ses frères, pour faire continuellement le service, devant l'arche, chaque chose à son jour;
Therfor Dauid lefte there, bifor the arke of boond of pees of the Lord, Asaph and hise britheren, for to mynystre in the siyt of the arke contynueli bi alle daies and her whilis.
38 Et Obed-Édom et Hosa, avec leurs frères, au nombre de soixante-huit, Obed-Édom, fils de Jédithun, et Hosa, pour portiers;
Forsothe he ordeynede porteris, Obededom and hise britheren, eiyte and sixti, and Obededom, the sone of Idithum, and Oza.
39 Et il établit Tsadok le sacrificateur, et ses frères les sacrificateurs, devant la Demeure de l'Éternel, sur le haut lieu qui était à Gabaon,
Sotheli `he ordeynede Sadoch preest, and hise britheren, preestis bifor the tabernacle of the Lord, in the hiy place that was in Gabaon,
40 Pour offrir continuellement des holocaustes à l'Éternel sur l'autel des holocaustes, le matin et le soir, et selon tout ce qui est écrit dans la loi de l'Éternel, qu'il a prescrite à Israël.
for to offre brent sacrifices to the Lord on the auter of brent sacrifice contynueli, in the morwetid and euentid, bi alle thingis that ben writun in the lawe of the Lord, which he comaundide to Israel.
41 Avec eux étaient Héman et Jéduthun, et les autres qui furent choisis, et désignés par leurs noms, pour louer l'Éternel; car sa miséricorde dure éternellement.
And aftir hym Dauyd ordeynede Eman, and Idithum, and other chosene, ech man bi his name, for to knowleche to the Lord; for his mercy is withouten ende.
42 Héman et Jéduthun étaient avec eux, avec des trompettes et des cymbales pour ceux qui les faisaient retentir, et des instruments pour les cantiques de Dieu. Les fils de Jéduthum étaient portiers.
Also he ordeynede Eman, and Idithum, trumpynge, and schakynge cymbalis, and alle orguns of musikis, for to synge to God; forsothe he made the sones of Idithum to be portours, `ether bereris.
43 Puis tout le peuple s'en alla, chacun dans sa maison; David aussi s'en retourna pour bénir sa maison.
And al the puple turnede ayen in to her hows, and Dauid turnede ayen, to blesse also his hows.
