Luc 22
1 La fête des pains sans levain, appelée la Pâque, était proche.
And the Celebration of the Unleavened [Bread] was coming near, that is called Passover,
2 Les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes cherchaient comment ils pourraient se défaire de Jésus, car ils craignaient le peuple.
and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they may take Him up, for they were afraid of the people.
3 Or Satan entra dans Judas, surnommé Iscariot: cet homme, l'un des Douze,
And Satan entered into Judas, who is surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the Twelve,
4 alla trouver les principaux sacrificateurs et les officiers des gardes du temple pour conférer avec eux sur la manière de leur livrer Jésus.
and he, having gone away, spoke with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might deliver Him up to them,
5 Ceux-ci en furent remplis de joie; ils convinrent de lui donner de l'argent;
and they rejoiced, and covenanted to give him money,
6 et Judas s'étant engagé, cherchait une occasion favorable pour le leur livrer, sans provoquer d'attroupement.
and he agreed, and was seeking a favorable season to deliver Him up to them without tumult.
7 Cependant le jour des pains sans levain, où l’on devait immoler la pâque, étant arrivé,
And the day of the Unleavened [Bread] came, in which it was necessary [for] the Passover to be sacrificed,
8 Jésus envoya Pierre et Jean, en disant: «Allez nous préparer la pâque, afin que nous la mangions.»
and He sent Peter and John, saying, “Having gone on, prepare to us the Passover, that we may eat”;
9 Ils lui dirent: «où veux-tu que nous la préparions?»
and they said to Him, “Where do You will that we might prepare?”
10 Il leur répondit: «En entrant dans la ville, vous rencontrerez un homme qui porte une cruche d'eau; suivez-le dans la maison où il entrera,
And He said to them, “Behold, in your entering into the city, a man will meet you there, carrying a pitcher of water, follow him into the house where he goes in,
11 et vous direz au maître de la maison: «Le maître te fait dire: où est la salle où je dois manger la pâque avec mes disciples?»
and you will say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?
12 Et cet homme vous montrera une grande salle haute, meublée: préparez-y tout ce qu'il faut.»
And he will show you a large upper room furnished, make ready there”;
13 Ils s'en allèrent, trouvèrent les choses comme il le leur avait dit; et ils préparèrent la pâque.
and they, having gone away, found as He has said to them, and they made the Passover ready.
14 Quand l'heure fut venue, Jésus se mit à table, et les apôtres avec lui.
And when the hour was come, He reclined, and the twelve apostles with Him,
15 Et il leur dit: «J'ai vivement désiré de manger cette pâque avec vous, avant de souffrir,
and He said to them, “With desire I desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering,
16 car je vous dis que je n'y prendrai plus part, jusqu’à ce que le moment soit venu dans le royaume de Dieu.»
for I say to you that I may eat of it no longer until it may be fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
17 Et, ayant pris une coupe, il rendit grâces, et dit: «Prenez cette coupe et la distribuez entre vous,
And having taken a cup, having given thanks, He said, “Take this and divide to yourselves,
18 car je vous dis que je ne boirai pas du fruit de la vigne, jusqu’à ce que le royaume de Dieu soit venu.»
for I say to you that I may not drink of the produce of the vine until the Kingdom of God may come.”
19 Puis il prit du pain, et, ayant rendu grâces, il le rompit, et le leur donna en disant: «Ceci est mon corps, qui va être donné pour vous: faites ceci en mémoire de moi.»
And having taken bread, having given thanks, He broke and gave to them, saying, “This is My body, that is being given for you, do this in remembrance of Me.”
20 Après avoir soupé, il leur donna de même la coupe, en disant: «Cette coupe est la nouvelle alliance en mon sang, qui va être versé pour vous...
In like manner, also, the cup after the dining, saying, “This cup [is] the New Covenant in My blood, that is being poured forth for you.
21 Seulement voici, la main de celui qui me livre est avec moi à cette table!
But behold, the hand of him delivering Me up [is] with Me on the table,
22 Car le Fils de l'homme s'en va selon ce qui a été arrêté; mais malheur à l'homme par qui il est livré!»
and, indeed, the Son of Man goes according to what has been determined; but woe to that man through whom He is being delivered up.”
23 Et les disciples se mirent à se demander les uns aux autres quel était bien celui d'entre eux qui devait commettre ce crime.
And they began to reason among themselves who then of them it may be who is about to do this thing.
24 Il s'éleva aussi une querelle entre eux, pour savoir lequel paraissait être le plus grand.
And there happened also a strife among them—who of them is accounted to be greater.
25 Jésus leur dit: «Les rois des nations en sont Seigneurs, et les princes qui les gouvernent sont appelés Bienfaiteurs.
And He said to them, “The kings of the nations exercise lordship over them, and those exercising authority on them are called benefactors;
26 Qu'il n'en soit point ainsi entre vous; mais que le plus grand parmi vous soit comme le plus petit, et celui qui est à la tête comme celui qui sert.
but you [are] not so, but he who is greater among you—let him be as the younger; and he who is leading, as he who is ministering;
27 Car quel est le plus grand, de celui qui est à table, ou de celui qui sert? N'est-ce pas celui qui est à table?... et moi, cependant, je suis au milieu de vous comme celui qui sert.
for who is greater? He who is reclining, or he who is ministering? Is it not he who is reclining? And I am in your midst as He who is ministering.
28 Vous êtes demeurés avec moi dans mes épreuves,
And you are those who have remained with Me in My temptations,
29 c'est pourquoi je dispose du royaume en votre faveur, comme mon Père en a disposé en ma faveur,
and I appoint to you a kingdom, as My Father appointed to Me,
30 afin que vous mangiez et buviez à ma table dans mon royaume, et que vous soyez assis sur des trônes, pour juger les douze tribus d'Israël.
that you may eat and may drink at My table, in My kingdom, and may sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
31 «Simon, Simon, Satan vous a réclamés, pour vous cribler comme on crible le froment;
And the LORD said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked for himself to sift you as the wheat,
32 mais j'ai prié pour toi, afin que ta foi ne défaille point; et toi, quand tu seras venu à résipiscence, affermis tes frères.»
and I implored for you that your faith may not fail; and you, when you turned, strengthen your brothers.”
33 — «Seigneur, lui dit Pierre, je suis prêt à aller avec toi, et en prison et à la mort.»
And he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death”;
34 Jésus lui répondit: «Je te dis, Pierre, que le coq ne chantera pas aujourd'hui, que tu n'aies nié trois fois de me connaître.»
and He said, “I say to you, Peter, a rooster will not crow today, before you may disown knowing Me three times.”
35 Ensuite il dit à ses disciples: «Lorsque je vous ai envoyés sans bourse, sans sac ni sandales, avez-vous manqué de quelque chose?» — «Non, de rien, » répondirent-ils.
And He said to them, “When I sent you without bag, and leather pouch, and sandals, did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.”
36 Il leur dit donc: «Eh bien! maintenant, que celui qui a une bourse la prenne, et un sac également; et que celui qui n'a point d'épée vende son manteau pour en acheter une;
Then He said to them, “But now, he who is having a bag, let him take [it] up, and in like manner also a leather pouch; and he who is not having, let him sell his garment, and buy a sword,
37 car je vous dis, que cette parole des Écritures «et il a été mis an nombre des criminels, » doit encore s'accomplir en ma personne: ce qui me concerne touche à sa fin.
for I say to you that this which has been written is necessary to be accomplished in Me: And He was reckoned with lawless ones; for also the things concerning Me have an end.”
38 Ils lui dirent: «Seigneur, il y a ici deux épées.» Il leur répondit: «Cela suffit.»
And they said, “Lord, behold, here [are] two swords”; and He said to them, “It is sufficient.”
39 Puis il sortit, et s'achemina, selon sa coutume, vers la montagne des Oliviers. Ses disciples aussi l'accompagnèrent.
And having gone forth, He went on, according to custom, to the Mount of Olives, and His disciples also followed Him,
40 Quand il fut arrivé au lieu où il se rendait, il leur dit: «Priez, de peur que vous ne tombiez en tentation;
and having come to the place, He said to them, “Pray to not enter into temptation.”
41 et il s'éloigna d'eux, à la distance d'environ un jet de pierre, et s'étant mis à genoux, il pria,
And He was withdrawn from them, as it were a stone’s cast, and having fallen on the knees He was praying,
42 disant: «Père, si tu voulais faire passer ce calice loin de moi! toutefois que ta volonté soit faite, et non la mienne.»
saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me, but not My will, but Yours be done.”
43 Un ange venu du ciel, lui apparut pour le fortifier,
And there appeared to Him a messenger from Heaven strengthening Him;
44 et, étant dans l'agonie, Jésus priait avec plus d'ardeur. Sa sueur était pareille à des caillots de sang, qui tombaient à terre.
and having been in agony, He was more earnestly praying, and His sweat became, as it were, great drops of blood falling on the ground.
45 Après avoir prié, il se leva, vint vers ses disciples, qu'il trouva endormis de tristesse,
And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, He found them sleeping from the sorrow,
46 et leur dit: «Pourquoi donnez-vous? Levez-vous, et priez, de peur que vous ne tombiez en tentation.»
and He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Having risen, pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
47 Il parlait encore, lorsqu'une troupe parut. Celui qu'on appelait Judas, l'un des Douze, marchait en tête; et il s'approcha de Jésus pour le baiser.
And while He is speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the Twelve, was coming before them, and he came near to Jesus to kiss Him,
48 Jésus lui dit: «Judas, c'est par un baiser que tu livres le Fils de l'homme!»
and Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you deliver up the Son of Man with a kiss?”
49 Ceux qui accompagnaient Jésus, voyant ce qui allait arriver, dirent: «Seigneur, si nous frappions de l'épée?»
And those around Him, having seen what was about to be, said to Him, “Lord, will we strike with a sword?”
50 et l'un d'eux frappa le serviteur du souverain sacrificateur, et lui emporta l'oreille droite.
And a certain one of them struck the servant of the chief priest, and took off his right ear,
51 Mais Jésus prenant la parole, dit: «Arrêtez! attendez!...» et, ayant touché l'oreille de cet homme, il le guérit.
and Jesus answering said, “Permit thus far,” and having touched his ear, He healed him.
52 Il dit aux principaux sacrificateurs, aux officiers des gardes du temple et aux anciens qui étaient venus pour le saisir: «Vous êtes venus avec des épées et des bâtons, comme si vous poursuiviez un brigand.
And Jesus said to those having come on Him—chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and elders, “Have you come forth with swords and sticks as on a robber?
53 J'étais pourtant tous les jours avec vous dans le temple, et vous ne m'avez pas arrêté; mais c'est ici votre heure et la puissance des ténèbres.»
While daily I was with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against Me; but this is your hour and the power of the darkness.”
54 Alors ils se saisirent de lui, l’emmenèrent, et le conduisirent dans le palais du souverain sacrificateur. Pierre suivait de loin.
And having taken Him, they led and brought Him into the house of the chief priest. And Peter was following far off,
55 Les soldats allumèrent du feu au milieu de la cour, et s'assirent. Pierre prit place parmi eux.
and they having kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and having sat down together, Peter was sitting in the midst of them,
56 Une servante l'apercevant assis près du feu, le regarda fixement, et dit: «Celui-ci était aussi avec lui; »
and a certain maid having seen him sitting at the light, and having earnestly looked at him, she said, “And this one was with Him!”
57 mais Pierre renia Jésus, en disant: «Femme, je ne le connais pas.»
And he disowned Him, saying, “Woman, I have not known Him.”
58 Un instant après, une autre personne le voyant, dit: «Toi aussi, tu es un de ces gens-là.» Pierre dit: «Non, je n'en suis point.»
And after a while, another having seen him, said, “And you are of them!” And Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
59 Il s'était à peine écoulé une heure, qu'une autre personne insista, disant: «Certainement cet homme était aussi avec lui, car il est Galiléen.»
And one hour, as it were, having intervened, a certain other was confidently affirming, saying, “Of a truth this one also was with Him, for he is also a Galilean”;
60 Pierre répondit: «Je ne sais ce que tu veux dire.» Au même instant, comme il parlait encore, un coq chanta:
and Peter said, “Man, I have not known what you say”; and immediately, while he is speaking, a rooster crowed.
61 le Seigneur s'étant retourné, regarda Pierre.- Alors Pierre se souvint de la parole que le Seigneur lui avait dite, «avant que le coq chante aujourd'hui, tu me renieras trois fois; »
And the LORD, having turned, looked on Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the LORD, how He said to him, “Before a rooster will crow, you may disown Me three times”;
62 et, étant sorti du palais, il pleura amèrement.
and Peter having gone outside, wept bitterly.
63 Ceux qui tenaient Jésus, le bafouaient, et le frappaient:
And the men who were holding Jesus were mocking Him, beating [Him];
64 ils lui avaient bandé les yeux et lui demandaient: «Devine qui t'a frappé.»
and having blindfolded Him, they were striking Him on the face, and were questioning Him, saying, “Prophesy who he is who struck You?”
65 Et ils lui disaient beaucoup d'autres injures.
And many other things, slandering, they spoke in regard to Him.
66 Dès qu'il fit jour, le corps des anciens du peuple s'assembla avec les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes, et ayant fait introduire Jésus dans leur Sanhédrin,
And when it became day there was gathered together the eldership of the people, chief priests also, and scribes, and they led Him up to their own Sanhedrin,
67 ils lui dirent: «Si tu es le Messie, dis-le nous.» — «Si je vous le dis, leur répondit-il, vous ne le croirez pas.
saying, “If You are the Christ, tell us.” And He said to them, “If I may tell you, you will not believe;
68 et si je vous interroge, vous ne répondrez pas;
and if I also question [you], you will not answer Me or send Me away;
69 mais désormais le Fils de l’homme sera assis à la droite du Dieu tout-puissant.»
from now on, there will be the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the power of God.”
70 Ils s'écrièrent tous: «Tu es donc le Fils de Dieu?» Il leur répondit: «Vous le dites, je le suis.»
And they all said, “You, then, are the Son of God?” And He said to them, “You say [it], because I AM”;
71 Alors ils dirent: «Qu’avons-nous encore besoin de témoignage? nous l'avons entendu nous-mêmes de sa bouche.»
and they said, “What need do we have yet of testimony? For we ourselves heard [it] from His mouth.”
