Psaumes 63
1 Psaume de David, lorsqu'il était dans le désert de Juda. Ô Dieu! tu es mon [Dieu] Fort, je te cherche au point du jour; mon âme a soif de toi, ma chair te souhaite en cette terre déserte, altérée, [et] sans eau.
“A psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.” O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry land, and it is faint without water.
2 Pour voir ta force et ta gloire, ainsi que je t'ai contemplé dans ton Sanctuaire.
As I have beheld thee in the sanctuary, seeing thy strength and thy glory;
3 Car ta gratuité est meilleure que la vie; mes lèvres te loueront.
Because thy kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee:
4 Et ainsi je te bénirai durant ma vie, [et] j'élèverai mes mains en ton Nom.
Thus will I bless thee while I live; in thy name will I lift up my hands.
5 Mon âme est rassasiée comme de mœlle et de graisse; et ma bouche te loue avec un chant de réjouissance.
As with fat and marrow will my soul be satisfied; and with tuneful lips shall my mouth praise thee.
6 Quand je me souviens de toi dans mon lit, je médite de toi durant les veilles de la nuit.
When I remember thee upon my couch, I meditate on thee in the night-watches.
7 Parce que tu m'as été en secours, à cause de cela je me réjouirai à l'ombre de tes ailes.
Because thou hast been a help unto me; and in the shadow of thy wings will I sing rejoicingly.
8 Mon âme s'est attachée à toi pour te suivre, [et] ta droite me soutient.
My soul cleaveth unto following thee: me thy right hand upholdeth.
9 Mais ceux-ci qui demandent que mon âme tombe en ruine, entreront au plus bas de la terre.
But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go down into the lowest deeps of the earth.
10 On les détruira à coups d'épée; ils seront la portion des renards.
They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword: they shall become a prey for jackals.
11 Mais le Roi se réjouira en Dieu; [et] quiconque jure par lui s'en glorifiera; car la bouche de ceux qui mentent sera fermée.
But the king shall rejoice in God: every one that sweareth by him shall glorify himself; for the mouth of those that speak falsehood shall be stopped.
