Psaumes 32
1 Maskil de David. Ô! Que bienheureux est celui de qui la transgression est pardonnée, et dont le péché est couvert!
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2 Ô que bienheureux est l'homme à qui l'Eternel n'impute point son iniquité, et dans l'esprit duquel il n'y a point de fraude!
Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3 Quand je me suis tu, mes os se sont consumés; et aussi quand je n'ai fait que rugir tout le jour.
When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4 Parce que jour et nuit ta main s'appesantissait sur moi, ma vigueur s'est changée en une sécheresse d'Eté. (Sélah)
For day and night your hand was heavy on me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. (Selah)
5 Je t'ai fait connaître mon péché, et je n'ai point caché mon iniquité. J'ai dit: Je ferai confession de mes transgressions à l'Eternel; et tu as ôté la peine de mon péché. (Sélah)
I acknowledge my sin to you, and my iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD; and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. (Selah)
6 C'est pourquoi tout bien-aimé de toi te suppliera au temps qu'on [te] trouve, tellement qu'en un déluge de grandes eaux, elles ne l'atteindront point.
For this shall every one that is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near to him.
7 Tu es mon asile, tu me gardes de détresse; tu m'environnes de chants de triomphe à cause de la délivrance. (Sélah)
You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall compass me about with songs of deliverance. (Selah)
8 Je te rendrai avisé, je t'enseignerai le chemin dans lequel tu dois marcher, et je te guiderai de mon œil.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye.
9 Ne soyez point comme le cheval, ni comme le mulet, qui sont sans intelligence, desquels il faut emmuseler la bouche avec un mors et un frein, de peur qu'ils n'approchent de toi.
Be you not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near to you.
10 Plusieurs douleurs atteindront le méchant; mais la gratuité environnera l'homme qui se confie en l'Eternel.
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusts in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
11 Vous justes, réjouissez-vous en l'Eternel, égayez-vous, et chantez de joie vous tous qui êtes droits de cœur.
Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, you righteous: and shout for joy, all you that are upright in heart.
