Psaumes 29
1 Psaume de David. Fils des Princes rendez à l'Eternel, rendez à l'Eternel la gloire et la force.
“A psalm of David.” Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye sons of the mighty, ascribe unto the Lord glory and strength.
2 Rendez à l'Eternel la gloire due à son Nom; prosternez-vous devant l'Eternel dans son Sanctuaire magnifique.
Ascribe unto the Lord the glory of his name; bow down to the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
3 La voix de l'Eternel est sur les eaux, le [Dieu] Fort de gloire fait tonner; l'Eternel est sur les grandes eaux.
The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thundereth, the Lord—upon mighty waters.
4 La voix de l'Eternel est forte, la voix de l'Eternel est magnifique.
The voice of the Lord [resoundeth] with power; the voice of the Lord [resoundeth] with majesty.
5 La voix de l'Eternel brise les cèdres, même l'Eternel brise les cèdres du Liban,
The voice of the Lord breaketh in pieces the cedars; yea, the Lord shivereth the cedars of Lebanon;
6 Et les fait sauter comme un veau: [il fait sauter] le Liban et Sirion, comme un faon de licorne.
And he maketh them skip like a calf; Lebanon and Siryon like young reems.
7 La voix de l'Eternel jette des éclats de flamme de feu.
The voice of the Lord heweth out flames of fire.
8 La voix de l'Eternel fait trembler le désert, l'Eternel fait trembler le désert de Kadès.
The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 La voix de l'Eternel fait faonner les biches, et découvre les forêts; mais quant à son Palais, chacun l'y glorifie.
The voice of the Lord causeth the hinds to start, and maketh bare forests: and in his temple every thing speaketh [of his] glory.
10 L'Eternel a présidé sur le déluge; et l'Eternel présidera comme Roi éternellement.
The Lord sat [enthroned] at the flood: and the Lord will sit as King for ever.
11 L'Eternel donnera de la force à son peuple; l'Eternel bénira son peuple en paix.
The Lord will give strength unto his people: the Lord will bless his people with peace.
