Psaumes 24

1 Psaume de David. La terre appartient à l'Eternel, avec tout ce qui est en elle, la terre habitable, et ceux qui y habitent.

A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’S, and all it containeth; the world, and they that dwell in it.

2 Car il l'a fondée sur les mers, et l'a posée sur les fleuves.

For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

3 Qui est-ce qui montera en la montagne de l'Eternel? et qui est-ce qui demeurera dans le lieu de sa sainteté?

Who shall ascend upon the hill of the LORD? and who shall stand in his holy place?

4 Ce sera l'homme qui a les mains pures et le cœur net, qui n'aspire point de son âme à la fausseté, et qui ne jure point en tromperie.

He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 Il recevra bénédiction de l'Eternel, et justice de Dieu son Sauveur.

He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 Tels sont ceux qui l'invoquent, ceux qui cherchent ta face en Jacob: (Sélah)

This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. (Selah)

7 Portes, élevez vos linteaux, et vous portes éternelles, haussez-vous, et le Roi de gloire entrera.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Qui est ce Roi de gloire? C'est l'Eternel fort et puissant, l'Eternel puissant en bataille.

Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

9 Portes, élevez vos linteaux, élevez-les aussi, vous portes éternelles, et le Roi de gloire entrera.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Qui est ce Roi de gloire? L'Eternel des armées; c'est lui qui est le Roi de gloire: (Sélah)

Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. (Selah)
