Néhémie 7
1 Or, après que la muraille fut rebâtie, et que j'eus mis les portes, et qu'on eut fait une revue des chantres et des Lévites;
Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2 Je commandai à Hanani mon frère, et à Hanania capitaine de la forteresse de Jérusalem; car il était tel qu'un homme fidèle [doit] être, et il craignait Dieu plus que plusieurs [autres];
that I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the governor of the castle, charge over Jerusalem, for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
3 Et je leur dis: Que les portes de Jérusalem ne s'ouvrent point jusqu'à la chaleur du soleil; et quand ceux qui se tiendront [là] auront fermé les portes, examinez-[les]: et qu'on pose des gardes d'entre les habitants de Jérusalem, chacun selon sa garde, et chacun vis-à-vis de sa maison.
And I said to them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot, and while they stand on guard, let them shut the doors, and bar ye them. And appoint watchmen of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, everyone in his watch, and everyone to be opposite his house.
4 Or la ville était spacieuse et grande, mais il y avait peu de peuple, et ses maisons n'étaient point bâties.
Now the city was wide and large, but the people in it were few, and the houses were not built.
5 Et mon Dieu me mit au cœur d'assembler les principaux et les magistrats, et le peuple, pour en faire le dénombrement selon leurs généalogies; et je trouvai le registre du dénombrement selon les généalogies de ceux qui étaient montés la première fois; et j'y trouvai ainsi écrit:
And my God put into my heart to gather together the ranking men, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first. And I found written therein:
6 Ce sont ici ceux de la Province qui remontèrent de la captivité, d'entre ceux qui avaient été transportés, lesquels Nébuchadnetsar Roi de Babylone avait transportés, et qui retournèrent à Jérusalem et en Judée, chacun en sa ville;
These are the sons of the province who went up out of the captivity of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and who returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, everyone to his city,
7 Qui vinrent avec Zorobabel, Jésuah, Néhémie, Hazaria, Rahamia, Nahamani, Mardochée, Bisan, Mitspéreth, Begvaï, Néhum, et Bahana; le nombre, [dis-je], des hommes du peuple d'Israël [est tel.]
who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
8 Les enfants de Parhos, deux mille cent soixante et douze.
the sons of Parosh, two thousand a hundred and seventy-two;
9 Les enfants de Séphatia, trois cent soixante et douze.
the sons of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two;
10 Les enfants d'Arah, six cent cinquante-deux.
the sons of Arah, six hundred fifty-two;
11 Les enfants de Pahath-Moab, des enfants de Jésuah et de Joab, deux mille huit cent dix-huit.
the sons of Pahath-moab, of the sons of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen;
12 Les enfants de Hélam, mille deux cent cinquante-quatre.
the sons of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty-four;
13 Les enfants de Zattu, huit cent quarante-cinq.
the sons of Zattu, eight hundred forty-five;
14 Les enfants de Zaccaï, sept cent soixante.
the sons of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty;
15 Les enfants de Binnui, six cent quarante-huit.
the sons of Binnui, six hundred forty-eight;
16 Les enfants de Bébaï, six cent vingt-huit.
the sons of Bebai, six hundred twenty-eight;
17 Les enfants de Hazgad, deux mille trois cent vingt-deux.
the sons of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty-two;
18 Les enfants d'Adonikam, six cent soixante-sept.
the sons of Adonikam, six hundred sixty-seven;
19 Les enfants de Bigvaï, deux mille soixante-sept.
the sons of Bigvai, two thousand sixty-seven;
20 Les enfants de Hadin, six cent cinquante-cinq.
the sons of Adin, six hundred fifty-five;
21 Les enfants d'Ater, [issu] d'Ezéchias, quatre-vingt-dix-huit.
the sons of Ater, of Hezekiah, ninety-eight;
22 Les enfants de Hasum, trois cent vingt-huit.
the sons of Hashum, three hundred twenty-eight;
23 Les enfants de Betsaï, trois cent vingt-quatre.
the sons of Bezai, three hundred twenty-four;
24 Les enfants de Harib, cent douze.
the sons of Hariph, a hundred and twelve;
25 Les enfants de Gabaon, quatre-vingt-quinze.
the sons of Gibeon, ninety-five;
26 Les gens de Bethléhem et de Nétopha, cent quatre-vingt-huit.
the men of Bethlehem and Netophah, a hundred eighty-eight;
27 Les gens d'Hanathoth, cent vingt-huit.
the men of Anathoth, a hundred twenty-eight;
28 Les gens de Beth-Hazmaveth, quarante-deux.
the men of Beth-azmaveth, forty-two;
29 Les gens de Kiriath-Jéharim, de Képhira et de Béeroth, sept cent quarante-trois.
the men of Kiriath-jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty-three;
30 Les gens de Rama et de Guébah, six cent vingt et un.
the men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty-one;
31 Les gens de Micmas, cent vingt-deux.
the men of Michmas, a hundred and twenty-two;
32 Les gens de Béthel, et de Haï, cent vingt-trois.
the men of Bethel and Ai, a hundred twenty-three;
33 Les gens de l'autre Nébo, cinquante-deux.
the men of the other Nebo, fifty-two;
34 Les enfants d'un autre Hélam, mille deux cent cinquante-quatre.
the sons of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty-four;
35 Les enfants de Harim, trois cent vingt.
the sons of Harim, three hundred and twenty;
36 Les enfants de Jéricho, trois cent quarante-cinq.
the sons of Jericho, three hundred forty-five;
37 Les enfants de Lod, de Hadid et d'Ono, sept cent vingt et un.
the sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty-one;
38 Les enfants de Sénaa, trois mille neuf cent trente.
the sons of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
39 Des Sacrificateurs: Les enfants de Jédahia, de la maison de Jésuah, neuf cent soixante et treize.
The priests: the sons of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three;
40 Les enfants d'Immer, mille cinquante-deux.
the sons of Immer, a thousand fifty-two;
41 Les enfants de Pashur, mille deux cent quarante-sept.
the sons of Pashhur, a thousand two hundred forty-seven;
42 Les enfants de Harim, mille dix-sept.
the sons of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.
43 Des Lévites: Les enfants de Jésuah et de Kadmiel, d'entre les enfants de Hodeva, soixante quatorze.
The Levites: the sons of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, of the sons of Hodevah, seventy-four.
44 Des chantres: Les enfants d'Asaph, cent quarante-huit.
The singers: the sons of Asaph, a hundred forty-eight.
45 Des portiers: Les enfants de Sallum, les enfants d'Ater, les enfants de Talmon, les enfants d'Hakkub, les enfantsde Hattita, les enfants de Sobaï, cent trente-huit.
The porters: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, the sons of Shobai, a hundred thirty-eight.
46 Des Néthiniens: Les enfants de Tsiha, les enfants de Hasupha, les enfants de Tabbahoth,
The Nethinim: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth,
47 Les enfants de Kéros, les enfants de Siha, les enfants de Padon,
the sons of Keros, the sons of Sia, the sons of Padon,
48 Les enfants de Lebana, les enfants de Hagaba, les enfants de Salmaï,
the sons of Lebana, the sons of Hagaba, the sons of Salmai,
49 Les enfants de Hanan, les enfants de Guiddel, les enfants de Gahar,
the sons of Hanan, the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar,
50 Les enfants de Réaja, les enfants de Retsin, les enfants de Nékoda,
the sons of Reaiah, the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda,
51 Les enfants de Gazam, les enfants de Huza, les enfants de Paséah,
the sons of Gazzam, the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah.
52 Les enfants de Bésaï, les enfants de Méhunim, les enfants de Néphisésim,
The sons of Besai, the sons of Meunim, the sons of Nephushesim,
53 Les enfants de Bakbuk, les enfants de Hakupha, les enfants de Harhur,
the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur,
54 Les enfants de Batslith, les enfants de Méhida, les enfants de Harsa,
the sons of Bazlith, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha,
55 Les enfants de Barkos, les enfants de Sisra, les enfants de Témah,
the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah,
56 Les enfants de Netsiah, les enfants de Hatipha.
the sons of Neziah, the sons of Hatipha.
57 Des enfants des serviteurs de Salomon: Les enfants de Sotaï, les enfants de Sophéreth, les enfants de Périda,
The sons of Solomon's servants: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Sophereth, the sons of Perida,
58 Les enfants de Jahala, les enfants de Darkon, les enfants de Guiddel,
the sons of Jaala, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel,
59 Les enfants de Séphatia, les enfants de Hattil, les enfants de Pockereth-Hatsébajim, les enfants d'Amon.
the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth-hazzebaim, the sons of Amon.
60 Tous les Néthiniens, et les enfants des serviteurs de Salomon, étaient trois cent quatre-vingt-douze.
All the Nethinim and the sons of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety-two.
61 Or ce sont ici ceux qui montèrent de Telmelah, de Tel-Harsa, de Kérub, d'Addon et d'Immer, lesquels ne purent montrer la maison de leurs pères, ni leur race, [pour savoir] s'ils étaient d'Israël.
And these were those who went up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not show their fathers' house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel:
62 Les enfants de Délaja, les enfants de Tobija, les enfants de Nékoda, six cent quarante-deux.
The sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, six hundred forty-two.
63 Et des Sacrificateurs: Les enfants de Habaja, les enfants de Kots, les enfants de Barzillaï, qui prit pour femme une des filles de Barzillaï Galaadite, et qui fut appelé de leur nom.
And of the priests: the sons of Hobaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.
64 Ils cherchèrent leur registre en recherchant leur généalogie, mais ils n'y furent point trouvés; c'est pourquoi ils furent exclus de la Sacrificature.
These sought their registration among those who were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found. Therefore they were deemed polluted and put from the priesthood.
65 Et Attirsatha leur dit; qu'ils ne mangeassent point des choses très-saintes, jusqu'à ce que le Sacrificateur assistât avec l'Urim et le Thummim.
And the governor said to them that they should not eat of the most holy things till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
66 Toute l'assemblée réunie était de quarante-deux mille trois cent soixante;
The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty,
67 Sans leurs serviteurs et leurs servantes, qui étaient sept mille trois cent trente-sept; et ils avaient deux cent quarante-cinq chantres ou chanteuses.
besides their men-servants and their maid-servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven. And they had two hundred forty-five singing men and singing women.
68 Ils avaient sept cent trente-six chevaux, deux cent quarante-cinq mulets;
Their horses were seven hundred thirty-six, their mules, two hundred forty-five,
69 Quatre cent trente-cinq chameaux, et six mille sept cent vingt ânes.
their camels, four hundred thirty-five, their donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
70 Or quelques-uns des Chefs des pères contribuèrent pour l'ouvrage. Attirsatha donna au trésor mille drachmes d'or, cinquante bassins, cinq cent trente robes de Sacrificateurs.
And some from among the heads of fathers gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury a thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.
71 Et quelques autres d'entre les Chefs des pères donnèrent pour le trésor de l'ouvrage, vingt mille drachmes d'or, et deux mille deux cent mines d'argent.
And some of the heads of fathers gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pounds of silver.
72 Et ce que le reste du peuple donna, fut vingt mille drachmes d'or, et deux mille mines d'argent, et soixante-sept robes de Sacrificateurs.
And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty-seven priests' garments.
73 Et ainsi les Sacrificateurs, les Lévites, les portiers, les chantres, quelques-uns du peuple, les Néthiniens, et tous ceux d'Israël habitèrent dans leurs villes; de sorte que quand le septième mois approcha, les enfants d'Israël étaient dans leurs villes.
So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinim, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities. And when the seventh month came, the sons of Israel were in their cities.
