Néhémie 5

1 Or il y eut un grand cri du peuple et de leurs femmes, contre les Juifs leurs frères.

And it was cry of distress of the people and wives their great against countrymen their the Jews.

2 Car il y en avait qui disaient: Que plusieurs d'entre nous [engagent] leurs fils et leurs filles, pour prendre du froment, afin que nous mangions, et que nous vivions.

And there [were those] who [were] saying sons our and daughters our we [are] many and let us get grain so we may eat and we may live.

3 Et il y en avait d'autres qui disaient: nous engageons nos champs, et nos vignes, et nos maisons, pour prendre du froment contre la famine.

And there [were those] who [were] saying fields our and vineyards our and houses our we [are] mortgaging and we will get grain in the famine.

4 Il y en avait aussi qui disaient: nous empruntons de l'argent pour la taille du Roi, sur nos champs et sur nos vignes.

And there [were those] who [were] saying we have borrowed money for [the] tribute of the king fields our and vineyards our.

5 Toutefois notre chair est comme la chair de nos frères, et nos fils [sont] comme leurs fils; et voici, nous assujettissons nos fils et nos filles pour être esclaves; et quelques-unes de nos filles sont déjà assujetties, et ne sont plus en notre pouvoir; et nos champs et nos vignes sont à d'autres.

And now [is] like [the] flesh of countrymen our flesh our [are] like children their children our and there! we [are] bringing into bondage sons our and daughters our to slaves and there [are] some of daughters our being brought into bondage and there not [is] to [the] power of hand our and fields our and vineyards our [belong] to others.

6 Or je fus fort en colère quand j'eus entendu leur cri et ces paroles-là.

And it burned to me exceedingly when I heard outcry their and the words these.

7 Et je consultai en moi-même; puis je censurai les principaux et les magistrats, et je leur dis: Vous exigez rigoureusement ce que chacun de vous a imposé à son frère; et je fis convoquer contre eux la grande assemblée.

And it considered heart my with me and I contended! with the nobles and with the officials and I said! to them usury each on brother his you ([are] lending *Q(K)*) and I made on them an assembly great.

8 Et je leur dis: Nous avons racheté selon notre pouvoir nos frères Juifs, qui avaient été vendus aux nations, et vous vendriez vous-mêmes vos frères, ou nous seraient-ils vendus? Alors ils se turent, et ne surent que dire.

And I said! to them we we have bought countrymen our the Jews who sold themselves to the nations according to [the] sufficiency in us and also you you sold countrymen your and they were sold to us and they were silent and not they found a word.

9 Et je dis: Vous ne faites pas bien; ne voulez-vous pas marcher dans la crainte de notre Dieu, plutôt que d'être en opprobre aux nations qui sont nos ennemies?

(And I said *Q(K)*) not [is] good the thing which you [are] doing ¿ not in [the] fear of God our are you walking from [the] reproach of the nations enemies our.

10 Nous pourrions aussi exiger de l'argent et du froment, moi, mes frères, et mes serviteurs; [mais] quittons-leur, je vous prie, cette dette.

And also I brothers my and servants my [are] lending to them money and grain let us abandon please the usury this.

11 Rendez-leur, je vous prie, aujourd'hui leurs champs, leurs vignes, leurs oliviers et leurs maisons, et outre cela, le centième de l'argent, du froment, du vin, et de l'huile que vous exigez d'eux.

Return please to them as this day fields their vineyards their olive trees their and houses their and [the] hundred of the money and the grain the new wine and the fresh oil which you [are] lending to them.

12 Et ils répondirent: Nous les rendrons, et nous ne leur demanderons rien; nous ferons ce que tu dis; alors j'appelai les Sacrificateurs, et je les fis jurer qu'ils le feraient [ainsi].

And they said we will return [it] and from them not we will require [it] so we will do just as you [are] saying and I summoned the priests and I made swear an oath them to do according to the manner this.

13 Et je secouai mon sein, et je dis: Que Dieu secoue ainsi de sa maison et de son travail tout homme qui n'aura point mis en effet cette parole, et qu'il soit ainsi secoué et vidé. Et toute l'assemblée répondit: Amen! Et ils louèrent l'Eternel; et le peuple fit selon cette parole-là.

Also bosom my I shook out and I said! thus may he shake out God every person who not he will carry out the word this from house his and from property his and thus may he be shaken out and empty and they said all the assembly amen and they praised Yahweh and it did the people according to the manner this.

14 Et même, depuis le jour auquel [le Roi] m'avait commandé d'être leur Gouverneur au pays de Juda, qui est depuis la vingtième année jusqu'à la trente-deuxième année du Roi Artaxerxes, l'espace de douze ans, moi et mes frères, nous n'avons point pris ce qui était assigné au Gouverneur pour son plat.

Also from [the] day - when someone appointed me to be governor their in [the] land of Judah from year twenty and until year thirty and two of Artaxerxes the king years two [plus] ten I and brothers my [the] food of the governor not I ate.

15 Quoique les premiers Gouverneurs qui avaient été avant moi, eussent chargé le peuple, et eussent pris d'eux du pain et du vin, outre quarante sicles d'argent, et qu'aussi leurs serviteurs eussent dominé sur le peuple; mais je n'ai point fait ainsi, à cause de la crainte de [mon] Dieu.

And the governors former who [were] before me they made heavy on the people and they took from them food and wine after silver shekels forty also servants their they domineered over the people and I not I did thus because of [the] fear of God.

16 Et même j'ai réparé une partie de cette muraille, et nous n'avons point acheté de champ, et tous mes serviteurs ont été assemblés là après le travail.

And also on [the] work of the wall this I kept hold and a field not we acquired and all servants my [were] assembled there on the work.

17 Et, outre cela, les Juifs et les Magistrats, au nombre de cent cinquante hommes, et ceux qui venaient vers nous des nations qui [étaient] autour de nous, étaient à ma table.

And the Jews and the officials one hundred and fifty person[s] and the [ones who] came to us from the nations which [were] around us [were] at table my.

18 Et ce qu'on apprêtait chaque jour, était un bœuf, et six moutons choisis. On m'apprêtait aussi des volailles; et de dix en dix jours [on me présentait] de toute sorte de vin en abondance; et nonobstant tout cela, je n'ai point demandé le plat qui était assigné au Gouverneur; car c'eût été une rude servitude pour ce peuple.

And [that] which it was made for a day one [was] an ox one sheep six chosen and poultry they were made for me and between ten days in all wine to abundance and beside this [the] food of the governor not I sought for it was heavy the service on the people this.

19 Ô mon Dieu! souviens-toi de moi en bien, [selon] tout ce que j'ai fait pour ce peuple.

Remember! to me O God my for good all that I have done on the people this.
