Lévitique 18
1 L'Eternel parla encore à Moïse, en disant:
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et leur dis: Je suis l'Eternel votre Dieu.
Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, I [am] the LORD your God.
3 Vous ne ferez point ce qui se fait au pays d'Egypte où vous avez habité, ni ce qui se fait au pays de Canaan, auquel je vous amène; et vous ne vivrez point selon leurs statuts.
After the doings of the land of Egypt in which ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
4 [Mais] vous ferez selon mes statuts, et vous garderez mes ordonnances pour marcher en elles; je suis l'Eternel votre Dieu.
Ye shall perform my judgments, and keep my ordinances, to walk in them; I [am] the LORD your God.
5 Vous garderez donc mes statuts, et mes ordonnances, lesquelles [si] l'homme accomplit, il vivra par elles; je suis l'Eternel.
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments: which if a man doeth, he shall live in them: I [am] the LORD.
6 Que nul ne s'approche de celle qui [est] sa proche parente pour découvrir sa nudité; je suis l'Eternel.
None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover [their] nakedness: I am the LORD.
7 Tu ne découvriras point la nudité de ton père, ni la nudité de ta mère; c'[est] ta mère, tu ne découvriras point sa nudité.
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she [is] thy mother, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8 Tu ne découvriras point la nudité de la femme de ton père; c'est la nudité de ton père.
The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it [is] thy father's nakedness.
9 Tu ne découvriras point la nudité de ta sœur, fille de ton père, ou fille de ta mère, née dans la maison, ou hors [de la maison]; tu ne découvriras point leur nudité.
The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, [whether] born at home, or born abroad, [even] their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
10 Quant à la nudité de la fille de ton fils, ou de la fille de ta fille, tu ne découvriras point leur nudité, car elles sont ta nudité.
The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, [even] their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs [is] thy own nakedness.
11 Tu ne découvriras point la nudité de la fille de la femme de ton père, née de ton père, c'est ta sœur.
The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten by thy father, (she [is] thy sister) thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
12 Tu ne découvriras point la nudité de la sœur de ton père; elle est proche parente de ton père.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she [is] thy father's near kinswoman.
13 Tu ne découvriras point la nudité de la sœur de ta mère; car elle est proche parente de ta mère.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she [is] thy mother's near kinswoman.
14 Tu ne découvriras point la nudité du frère de ton père, [et] ne t'approcheras point de sa femme; elle est ta tante.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she [is] thy aunt.
15 Tu ne découvriras point la nudité de ta belle-fille; elle est la femme de ton fils, tu ne découvriras point sa nudité.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter-in-law: she [is] thy son's wife, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
16 Tu ne découvriras point la nudité de la femme de ton frère, c'est la nudité de ton frère.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it [is] thy brother's nakedness.
17 Tu ne découvriras point la nudité d'une femme et de sa fille, et ne prendras point la fille de son fils, ni la fille de sa fille pour découvrir leur nudité, elles sont tes proches parentes; c'est une énormité.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; [for] they [are] her near kinswomen: it [is] wickedness.
18 Tu ne prendras point aussi une femme avec sa sœur pour l'affliger en découvrant sa nudité sur elle, pendant sa vie.
Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex [her], to uncover her nakedness besides the other in her life -[time].
19 Tu n'approcheras point de la femme durant la séparation de sa souillure, pour découvrir sa nudité.
Also thou shalt not approach to a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
20 Tu n'auras point aussi la compagnie de la femme de ton prochain, te souillant avec elle.
Moreover, thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbor's wife, to defile thyself with her.
21 Tu ne donneras point de tes enfants pour les faire passer [par le feu] devant Molec, et tu ne profaneras point le Nom de ton Dieu; je suis l'Eternel.
And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through [the fire] to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I [am] the LORD.
22 Tu n'auras point aussi la compagnie d'un mâle; c'est une abomination.
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.
23 Tu ne t'approcheras point aussi d'aucune bête pour te souiller avec elle; et la femme ne se prostituera point à une bête; c'est une confusion.
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it [is] confusion.
24 Ne vous souillez point en aucune de ces choses; car les nations que je m'en vais chasser de devant vous, se sont souillées en toutes ces choses;
Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
25 Dont la terre a été souillée, et je m'en vais punir sur elle son iniquité, et la terre vomira ses habitants.
And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit its iniquity upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
26 Mais quant à vous, vous garderez mes ordonnances et mes jugements, et vous ne ferez aucune de ces abominations, tant celui qui est né au pays, que l'étranger qui fait son séjour parmi vous.
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit [any] of these abominations; [neither] any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you.
27 Car les gens de ce pays-là qui ont été avant vous, ont fait toutes ces abominations, et la terre en a été souillée.
(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, who [were] before you, and the land is defiled; )
28 La terre ne vous vomirait-elle point, si vous la souilliez, comme elle aura vomi les gens qui y ont été avant vous?
That the land may not vomit you out also, when ye defile it, as it vomited out the nations that [were] before you.
29 Car quiconque fera aucune de toutes ces abominations, les personnes qui les auront faites seront retranchées du milieu de leur peuple.
For whoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit [them] shall be cut off from among their people.
30 Vous garderez donc ce que j'ai ordonné de garder, et vous ne pratiquerez aucune de ces coutumes abominables qui ont été pratiquées avant vous, et vous ne vous souillerez point par elles; je suis l'Eternel votre Dieu.
Therefore shall ye keep my ordinance, that [ye] commit not [any one] of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves in them; I [am] the LORD your God.
