Josué 8
1 Puis l'Eternel dit à Josué: Ne crains point, et ne t'effraye de rien. Prends avec toi tout le peuple propre à la guerre, et te lève, monte contre Haï; regarde, j'ai livré entre tes mains le Roi de Haï, et son peuple, et sa ville, et son pays.
and to say LORD to(wards) Joshua not to fear and not to to be dismayed to take: take with you [obj] all people: soldiers [the] battle and to arise: rise to ascend: rise [the] Ai to see: behold! to give: give in/on/with hand: power your [obj] king [the] Ai and [obj] people his and [obj] city his and [obj] land: country/planet his
2 Et tu feras à Haï, et à son Roi, comme tu as fait à Jérico, et à son Roi: seulement vous en pillerez pour vous le butin, et les bêtes. Mets des gens en embuscade derrière la ville.
and to make: do to/for Ai and to/for king her like/as as which to make: do to/for Jericho and to/for king her except spoil her and animal her to plunder to/for you to set: put to/for you to ambush to/for city from after her
3 Josué donc se leva avec tout le peuple propre à la guerre, pour monter contre Haï, et Josué choisit trente mille hommes forts et vaillants, et les envoya de nuit.
and to arise: rise Joshua and all people: soldiers [the] battle to/for to ascend: rise [the] Ai and to choose Joshua thirty thousand man mighty man [the] strength and to send: depart them night
4 Et il leur commanda, disant: Voyez, vous qui serez en embuscade derrière la ville, ne vous éloignez pas beaucoup de la ville, mais tenez-vous prêts.
and to command [obj] them to/for to say to see: behold! you(m. p.) to ambush to/for city from after [the] city not to remove from [the] city much and to be all your to establish: prepare
5 Et moi, et tout le peuple qui est avec moi, nous nous approcherons de la ville, et quand ils sortiront à notre rencontre, comme [ils ont fait] la première fois, nous nous enfuirons de devant eux.
and I and all [the] people which with me to present: come to(wards) [the] city and to be for to come out: come to/for to encounter: toward us like/as as which in/on/with first: previous and to flee to/for face: before their
6 Ainsi ils sortiront après nous, jusqu'à ce que nous les ayons attirés hors de la ville; car ils diront: Ils fuient devant nous comme la première fois; parce que nous fuirons devant eux.
and to come out: come after us till to tear we [obj] them from [the] city for to say to flee to/for face: before our like/as as which in/on/with first: previous and to flee to/for face: before their
7 Mais vous vous lèverez de l'embuscade, et vous vous saisirez de la ville; car l'Eternel votre Dieu la livrera entre vos mains.
and you(m. p.) to arise: rise from [the] to ambush and to possess: take [obj] [the] city and to give: give her LORD God your in/on/with hand: power your
8 Et quand vous l'aurez prise, vous y mettrez le feu; vous ferez selon la parole de l'Eternel. Regardez, je vous l'ai commandé.
and to be like/as to capture you [obj] [the] city to kindle [obj] [the] city in/on/with fire like/as word LORD to make: do to see: behold! to command [obj] you
9 Josué donc les envoya, et ils allèrent se mettre en embuscade, et se tinrent entre Béthel et Haï, à l'Occident de Haï; mais Josué demeura cette nuit-là avec le peuple.
and to send: depart them Joshua and to go: went to(wards) [the] ambush and to dwell between Bethel Bethel and between [the] Ai from sea: west to/for Ai and to lodge Joshua in/on/with night [the] he/she/it in/on/with midst [the] people
10 Puis Josué se leva de bon matin, et dénombra le peuple; et il monta lui et les anciens d'Israël, devant le peuple vers Haï.
and to rise Joshua in/on/with morning and to reckon: list [obj] [the] people and to ascend: rise he/she/it and old: elder Israel to/for face: before [the] people [the] Ai
11 Et tout le peuple propre à la guerre, qui [était] avec lui, monta, et s'approcha, et ils vinrent vis-à-vis de la ville, et se campèrent du côté du Septentrion de Haï; et la vallée était entre lui et Haï.
and all [the] people: soldiers [the] battle which with him to ascend: rise and to approach: approach and to come (in): towards before [the] city and to camp from north to/for Ai and [the] valley (between him *Q(k)*) and between [the] Ai
12 Il prit aussi environ cinq mille hommes, lesquels il mit en embuscade entre Béthel et Haï, à l'Occident de Haï.
and to take: take like/as five thousand man and to set: make [obj] them to ambush between Bethel Bethel and between [the] Ai from sea: west to/for city
13 Et le peuple mit tout le camp qui était du côté du Septentrion contre la ville, et l'embuscade, à l'Occident de la ville; et cette nuit-là Josué s'avança dans la vallée.
and to set: put [the] people: soldiers [obj] all [the] camp which from north to/for city and [obj] heel his from sea: west to/for city and to go: continue Joshua in/on/with night [the] he/she/it in/on/with midst [the] valley
14 Or il arriva qu'aussitôt que le Roi de Haï l'eut vu, les hommes de la ville se hâtèrent, et se levèrent de bon matin, et au temps marqué le Roi et tout son peuple sortirent à la campagne contre Israël pour le combattre. Or il ne savait pas qu'il y eût des gens en embuscade contre lui derrière la ville.
and to be like/as to see: see king [the] Ai and to hasten and to rise and to come out: come human [the] city to/for to encounter: toward Israel to/for battle he/she/it and all people his to/for meeting: time appointed to/for face: before [the] Arabah and he/she/it not to know for to ambush to/for him from after [the] city
15 Alors Josué et tout Israël [feignant d'être] battus à leur rencontre s'enfuirent par le chemin du désert.
and to touch Joshua and all Israel to/for face: before their and to flee way: direction [the] wilderness
16 C'est pourquoi tout le peuple qui était dans la ville, fut assemblé à grand cri pour les poursuivre; et ils poursuivirent Josué; et ils furent [ainsi] attirés hors de la ville;
and to cry out all [the] people which (in/on/with Ai *Q(K)*) to/for to pursue after them and to pursue after Joshua and to tear from [the] city
17 De sorte qu'il ne resta pas un seul homme dans Haï ni dans Béthel qui ne sortît après Israël; ils laissèrent la ville ouverte, et ils poursuivirent Israël.
and not to remain man: anyone in/on/with Ai and Bethel Bethel which not to come out: come after Israel and to leave: forsake [obj] [the] city to open and to pursue after Israel
18 Alors l'Eternel dit à Josué: Etends l'étendard qui est en ta main, vers Haï; car je la livrerai entre tes mains, et Josué étendit vers la ville l'étendard qui était en sa main.
and to say LORD to(wards) Joshua to stretch in/on/with javelin which in/on/with hand your to(wards) [the] Ai for in/on/with hand your to give: give her and to stretch Joshua in/on/with javelin which in/on/with hand his to(wards) [the] city
19 Et ceux qui étaient en embuscade se levèrent incontinent du lieu où ils étaient; ils commencèrent à courir aussitôt que [Josué] eut étendu sa main; ils vinrent dans la ville, la prirent, et ils se hâtèrent de mettre le feu dans la ville.
and [the] to ambush to arise: rise haste from place his and to run: run like/as to stretch hand his and to come (in): come [the] city and to capture her and to hasten and to kindle [obj] [the] city in/on/with fire
20 Et les gens de Haï se tournant derrière eux, regardèrent; et voici, la fumée de la ville montait jusqu'au ciel: et il n'y eut en eux aucune force pour fuir: et le peuple qui fuyait vers le désert, se tourna contre ceux qui le poursuivaient.
and to turn human [the] Ai after them and to see: behold! and behold to ascend: rise smoke [the] city [the] heaven [to] and not to be in/on/with them hand: power to/for to flee here/thus and here/thus and [the] people [the] to flee [the] wilderness to overturn to(wards) [the] to pursue
21 Et Josué et tout Israël voyant que ceux qui étaient en embuscade avaient pris la ville, et que la fumée de la ville montait, se retournèrent, et frappèrent les gens de Haï.
and Joshua and all Israel to see: see for to capture [the] to ambush [obj] [the] city and for to ascend: rise smoke [the] city and to return: return and to smite [obj] human [the] Ai
22 Les autres aussi sortirent de la ville contr'eux; ainsi ils furent [enveloppés] par les Israélites, les uns deçà, et les autres delà; et ils furent tellement battus qu'on n'en laissa aucun qui demeurât en vie, ou qui échappât.
and these to come out: come from [the] city to/for to encounter: toward them and to be to/for Israel in/on/with midst these from this and these from this and to smite [obj] them till lest to remain to/for him survivor and survivor
23 Ils prirent aussi vif le Roi de Haï, et le présentèrent à Josué.
and [obj] king [the] Ai to capture alive and to present: bring [obj] him to(wards) Joshua
24 Et quand les Israélites eurent achevé de tuer tous les habitants de Haï sur les champs, au désert où ils les avaient poursuivis, et que tous furent tombés sous le tranchant de l'épée, jusqu'à être entièrement défaits, tous les Israélites se tournèrent vers Haï, et la frappèrent au tranchant de l'épée.
and to be like/as to end: finish Israel to/for to kill [obj] all to dwell [the] Ai in/on/with land: country in/on/with wilderness which to pursue them in/on/with him and to fall: kill all their to/for lip: edge sword till to finish they and to return: return all Israel [the] Ai and to smite [obj] her to/for lip: edge sword
25 Et tous ceux qui tombèrent ce jour-là, tant des hommes que des femmes, furent [au nombre de] douze mille, tous gens de Haï.
and to be all [the] to fall: kill in/on/with day [the] he/she/it from man and till woman two ten thousand all human [the] Ai
26 Et Josué ne retira point sa main, laquelle il avait élevée en haut avec l'étendard, qu'on n'eut entièrement défait à la façon de l'interdit, tous les habitants de Haï.
and Joshua not to return: return hand his which to stretch in/on/with javelin till which to devote/destroy [obj] all to dwell [the] Ai
27 Seulement les Israélites pillèrent pour eux les bêtes et le butin de cette ville-là, suivant ce que l'Eternel avait commandé à Josué.
except [the] animal and spoil [the] city [the] he/she/it to plunder to/for them Israel like/as word LORD which to command [obj] Joshua
28 Josué donc brûla Haï, et la mit en un monceau perpétuel [de ruines], et en un désert, jusqu'à aujourd'hui.
and to burn Joshua [obj] [the] Ai and to set: make her mound forever: enduring devastation till [the] day: today [the] this
29 Puis il fit pendre le Roi de Haï à une potence, jusqu'au temps du soir: et comme le soleil se couchait, Josué fit commandement, qu'on descendît de la potence son corps mort, lequel on jeta à l'entrée de la porte de la ville, et on dressa sur lui un grand amas de pierres, [qui y est demeuré] jusqu'à aujourd'hui.
and [obj] king [the] Ai to hang upon [the] tree till time [the] evening and like/as to come (in): besiege [the] sun to command Joshua and to go down [obj] carcass his from [the] tree and to throw [obj] her to(wards) entrance gate [the] city and to arise: raise upon him heap stone great: large till [the] day: today [the] this
30 Alors Josué bâtit un autel à l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël, sur la montagne de Hébal;
then to build Joshua altar to/for LORD God Israel in/on/with mountain: mount (Mount) Ebal
31 Comme Moïse serviteur de l'Eternel l'avait commandé aux enfants d'Israël, ainsi qu'il est écrit au Livre de la Loi de Moïse. Il fit cet autel de pierres entières sur lesquelles personne n'avait levé le fer; et ils offrirent dessus des holocaustes à l'Eternel, et sacrifièrent des sacrifices de prospérités.

32 Il écrivit aussi là sur des pierres un double de la Loi de Moïse, laquelle [Moïse] avait mise par écrit devant les enfants d'Israël.
and to write there upon [the] stone [obj] second instruction Moses which to write to/for face son: descendant/people Israel
33 Et tout Israël, et ses anciens, et ses Officiers, et ses juges étaient au deçà et au delà de l'Arche, vis-à-vis des Sacrificateurs qui sont de la race de Lévi, portant l'Arche de l'alliance de l'Eternel, tant les étrangers que les Hébreux naturels; une moitié étant contre la montagne de Guérizim, et l'autre moitié contre la montagne de Hébal, comme Moïse serviteur de l'Eternel l'avait commandé, pour bénir le peuple d'Israël la première fois.
and all Israel and old: elder his and official and to judge him to stand: stand from this and from this to/for ark before [the] priest [the] Levi to lift: bear ark covenant LORD like/as sojourner like/as born half his to(wards) opposite mountain: mount (Mount) Gerizim and [the] half his to(wards) opposite mountain: mount (Mount) Ebal like/as as which to command Moses servant/slave LORD to/for to bless [obj] [the] people Israel in/on/with first: previous
34 Et après cela il lut tout haut toutes les paroles de la Loi, tant les bénédictions que les malédictions, selon tout ce qui est écrit au Livre de la Loi.
and after so to call: read out [obj] all word [the] instruction [the] blessing and [the] curse like/as all [the] to write in/on/with scroll: book [the] instruction
35 Il n'y eut rien de tout ce que Moïse avait commandé, que Josué ne lût tout haut devant toute l'assemblée d'Israël, des femmes, et des petits enfants, et des étrangers conversant parmi eux.
