Josué 19
1 Le deuxième sort échut à Siméon, pour la Tribu des enfants de Siméon selon leurs familles, et leur héritage fut parmi l'héritage des enfants de Juda.
The second casting of lots fell to Simeon, clan by clan. Their inheritance was in the middle of the inheritance that belonged to the tribe of Judah.
2 Et ils eurent dans leur héritage Béer-sebah, Sebah, Molada,
They had for their inheritance Beersheba, Sheba, Moladah,
3 Hatsar-suhal, Bala, Hetsem,
Hazar Shual, Balah, Ezem,
4 Eltolad, Bethul, Horma,
Eltolad, Bethul, and Hormah.
5 Tsiklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hatsar-susa,
Simeon also had Ziklag, Beth Markaboth, Hazar Susah,
6 Beth-lebaoth et Saruhen; treize villes et leurs villages.
Beth Lebaoth, and Sharuhen. These were thirteen cities, including their villages.
7 Hajin, Rimmon, Hether, et Hasan; quatre villes et leurs villages.
Simeon also had Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan. These were four cities, including their villages.
8 Et tous les villages qui étaient autour de ces villes-là jusqu'à Balath-béer, qui est Rama du Midi. Tel fut l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants de Siméon, selon leurs familles.
These were together, including their the villages around these cities as far as Baalath Beer (the same as Ramah in the Negev). This was the inheritance of the tribe of Simeon, clan by clan.
9 L'héritage des enfants de Siméon fut pris du lot des enfants de Juda; car la part des enfants de Juda était trop grande pour eux; c'est pourquoi les enfants de Siméon eurent leur héritage parmi le leur.
The inheritance of the tribe of Simeon formed part of the territory of the tribe of Judah. Because the portion of land assigned to the tribe of Judah was too large for them, the tribe of Simeon received their inheritance out of the middle of their portion.
10 Le troisième sort monta pour les enfants de Zabulon, selon leurs familles; et la frontière de leur héritage fut jusqu'à Sarid.
The third casting of lots fell to the tribe of Zebulun, clan by clan. The border of their inheritance began at Sarid.
11 Et leur frontière devait monter vers le quartier devers la mer, même jusqu'à Marhala, puis se rencontrer à Dabbeseth, et de là au torrent qui est vis-à-vis de Jokneham.
Their border went up westward toward Maralah and touched Dabbesheth; then it extended to the brook that was opposite Jokneam.
12 Or [cette frontière] devait retourner de Sarid vers l'Orient, au soleil levant vers les confins de Kislothtabor, puis sortir vers Dabrath, et monter à Japhiah;
From Sarid the border turned eastward toward the east and went to the border of Kisloth Tabor. From there it went to Daberath and then up to Japhia.
13 Puis de là passer vers l'Orient, au Levant, à Guitta-hépher qui est Hittakatsin, puis sortir, à Rimmon-Methoar, qui est Neha.
From there it passed on eastward to Gath Hepher, and then to Eth Kazin; next it went to Rimmon and turned toward Neah.
14 Puis cette frontière devait tourner du côté du Septentrion à Hannathon; et ses extrémités devaient se rendre en la vallée de Jiphtahel.
The border made a turn to the north to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah El.
15 Avec Kattath, Nahalal, Simron, Jidéala, et Beth-lehem; il y avait douze villes, et leurs villages.
This region included the cities of Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem. There were twelve cities, including their villages.
16 Tel fut l'héritage des enfants de Zabulon selon leurs familles; ces villes-là, et leurs villages.
This was the inheritance of the tribe of Zebulun, clan by clan, including these cities, including their villages.
17 Le quatrième sort échut à Issacar, pour les enfants d'Issacar, selon leurs familles.
The fourth casting of lots fell to Issachar, clan by clan.
18 Et leur contrée fut ce qui est vers Jizrehel, Kesulloth, Sunem,
Their territory included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,
19 Hapharjim, Sion, Anaharath,
Hapharaim, Shion, and Anaharath.
20 Rabbith, Kisjon, Ebets,
It also included Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
21 Remeth, Hen-gannim, Hen-hadda et Beth-patsets.
Remeth, En Gannim, En Haddah, and Beth Pazzez.
22 Et la frontière se devait rencontrer à Tabor et vers Sabatsim, et à Beth-semes; tellement que les extrémités de leur frontière se devaient rendre au Jourdain; seize villes, et leurs villages.
Their border also touched Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth Shemesh, and ended at the Jordan. There were sixteen cities, including their villages.
23 Tel fut l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants d'Issacar, selon leurs familles, ces villes-là, et leurs villages.
This was the inheritance of the tribe of Issachar, according to their clans—the cities, including their villages.
24 Le cinquième sort échut à la Tribu des enfants d'Aser, selon leurs familles.
The fifth casting of lots fell to the tribe of Asher, clan by clan.
25 Et leur frontière fut Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acsaph,
Their territory included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Akshaph,
26 Alammélec, Hamhad et Miséal; et elle se devait rencontrer à Carmel, [au quartier] vers la mer, et à Sihor vers Benath.
Allammelek, Amad, and Mishall. On the west the boundary extended to Carmel and Shihor Libnath.
27 Puis elle devait retourner vers le soleil levant, à Beth-dagon, et se rencontrer en Zabulon, et à la vallée de Jiphtahel vers le Septentrion, [et à] Beth-hemek et Nehiel; puis sortir à main gauche vers Cabul.
Then it turned eastward to Beth Dagon and went as far as Zebulun, and then to the Valley of Iphtah El, northward to Beth Emek and Neiel. Then it continued on to Kabul toward the north.
28 Et Hébron, et Rehob, et Hammon, et Cana, jusqu'à Sidon la grande.
It then went on to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, as far as Greater Sidon.
29 Puis la frontière devait retourner à Rama, même jusqu'à Tsor, ville forte; puis cette frontière devait retourner à Hosa; tellement que ses extrémités, se devaient rendre au quartier qui est vers la mer, depuis la portion tirant vers Aczib;
The border turned back to Ramah, and then to the fortified city of Tyre. Then the border turned to Hosah and ended at the sea, in the region of Akzib,
30 Avec Hummah, et Aphek, et Rehob; vingt-deux villes, et leurs villages.
Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob. There were twenty-two cities, including their villages.
31 Tel fut l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants d'Aser, selon leurs familles; ces villes-là et leurs villages.
This was the inheritance of the tribe of Asher, clan by clan—the cities, including their villages.
32 Le sixième sort échut aux enfants de Nephthali, pour les enfants de Nephthali, selon leurs familles.
The sixth casting of lots fell to tribe of Naphtali, clan by clan.
33 Et leur frontière fut depuis Heleph, [et] depuis Allon à Tsahannim, et Adami-nekeb, et Jabnéel jusqu'à Lakkum, tellement que ses extrémités se devaient rendre au Jourdain.
Their border ran from Heleph, from the oak at Zaanannim, on to Adami Nekeb and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum; it ended at the Jordan.
34 Puis cette frontière devait retourner du côté d'Occident, vers Aznoth-Tabor, et sortir de là à Hukkok; tellement que du côté du Midi elle devait se rencontrer en Zabulon, et du côté d'Occident elle devait se rencontrer en Aser. Or jusqu'en Juda le Jourdain [était au] soleil levant.
The border turned westward to Aznoth Tabor and went on to Hukkok; it touched Zebulun on the south, and reached to Asher on the west and Judah on the east at the Jordan River.
35 Au reste, les villes closes étaient Tsiddim, Tser, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
36 Adama, Rama, Hatsor,
Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
37 Kédès, Edréhi, Hen-Hatsor,
Kedesh, Edrei, and En Hazor.
38 Jireon, Migdal-el, Harem, Beth-hanath et Beth-semes; dix-neuf villes et leurs villages.
There were also Yiron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath, and Beth Shemesh. There were nineteen cities, including their villages.
39 Tel fut l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants de Nephthali, selon leurs familles; ces villes-là, et leurs villages.
This was the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali, clan by clan—the cities, including their villages.
40 Le septième sort échut à la Tribu des enfants de Dan selon leurs familles.
The seventh casting of lots fell to the tribe of Dan, clan by clan.
41 Et la contrée de leur héritage fut, Tsorah, Estaol, Hir-semes,
The territory of its inheritance included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir Shemesh,
42 Sahalabim, Ajalon, Jithla,
Shaalabbin, Aijalon, and Ithlah.
43 Elon, Timnatha, Hekron,
It also included Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
44 Elteké, Guibbethon, Bahalath,
Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
45 Jehud, Bené-berak, Gath-rimmon,
Jehud, Bene Berak, Gath Rimmon,
46 Me-jarkon, et Rakkon, avec les limites qui sont vis-à-vis de Japho.
Me Jarkon, and Rakkon along with the territory across from Joppa.
47 Or la contrée qui était échue aux enfants de Dan, était [trop petite] pour eux; c'est pourquoi les enfants de Dan montèrent, et combattirent contre Lesem, et la prirent, et la frappèrent au tranchant de l'épée, et la possédèrent, et y habitèrent; et ils appelèrent Lesem, Dan, du nom de Dan leur père.
When the territory of the tribe of Dan was lost to them, Dan attacked Leshem, fought against it, capturing it and striking it with the sword; taking possession of it and settled in it. They renamed Leshem, calling it Dan after their ancestor.
48 Tel fut l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants de Dan selon leurs familles; ces villes-là, et leurs villages.
This was the inheritance of the tribe of Dan, clan by clan—the cities, including their villages.
49 Au reste après qu'on eut achevé de partager le pays selon ses confins, les enfants d'Israël donnèrent un héritage parmi eux à Josué fils de Nun.
When they finished the allocation of the land as an inheritance, the people of Israel gave an inheritance among themselves to Joshua son of Nun.
50 Selon le commandement de l'Eternel; ils lui donnèrent la ville qu'il demanda; [savoir] Timnath-sérah en la montagne d'Ephraïm; et il bâtit la ville, et y habita.
By the command of Yahweh they gave him the city for which he asked, Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim. He rebuilt the city and lived there.
51 Ce sont là les héritages qu'Eléazar le Sacrificateur, et Josué, fils de Nun, et les chefs des pères des Tribus des enfants d'Israël partagèrent par sort en Silo, devant l'Eternel, à l'entrée du Tabernacle d'assignation, et ils achevèrent [ainsi] de partager le pays.
These are the inheritances that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders of the tribes of the people of Israel assigned by lot at Shiloh, before Yahweh, at the entrance of the tent of meeting. So they finished assigning the land.
