Josué 15
1 Ce fut ici le sort de la Tribu des enfants de Juda selon leurs familles. Aux confins d'Edom, le désert de Tsin vers le Midi, fut le dernier bout [de leurs pays] vers le Midi.
This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Iudah by their families: euen to the border of Edom and the wildernesse of Zin, Southward on the Southcoast.
2 Tellement que leur frontière du côté du Midi fut le dernier bout de la mer salée, depuis le bras qui regarde vers le Midi.
And their South border was the salt Sea coast, from the point that looketh Southward.
3 Et elle devait sortir vers le Midi de la montée de Hakrabbim, et passer à Tsin; et, montant du Midi de Kadès-barné passer à Hetsron; puis montant vers Addar se tourner vers Karkah;
And it went out on the Southside towarde Maaleth-akrabbim, and went along to Zin, and ascended vp on the Southside vnto Kadesh-barnea, and went along to Hezron, and went vp to Adar, and fet a compasse to Karkaa.
4 Puis passant vers Hatsmon, sortir au torrent d'Egypte; tellement que les extrémités, de cette frontière devaient se rendre à la mer. Ce sera là, [dit Josué], votre frontière du côté du Midi.
From thence went it along to Azmon, and reached vnto the riuer of Egypt, and the end of that coast was on the Westside: this shall be your South coast.
5 Et la frontière vers l'Orient sera la mer salée jusqu'au bout du Jourdain; et la frontière du côté du Septentrion sera depuis le bras de la mer, qui est au bout du Jourdain.
Also the Eastborder shalbe the salt Sea, vnto the end of Iorden: and the border on the North quarter from the point of the Sea, and from the end of Iorden.
6 Et cette frontière montera jusqu'à Bethhogla, et passera du côté du Septentrion de Bethharaba; et cette frontière montera jusqu'à la pierre de Bohan, fils de Ruben.
And this border goeth vp to Beth-hogla, and goeth along by ye Northside of Beth-arabah: so the border from thence goeth vp to the stone of Bohan the sonne of Reuben.
7 Puis cette frontière montera vers Débir, depuis la vallée de Hacor, même vers le Septentrion, regardant Guilgal; laquelle est vis-à-vis de la montée d Adummim, qui est au Midi du torrent; puis cette frontière passera vers les eaux de Hen-semès, et ses extrémités se rendront à Hen-roguel.
Againe this border goeth vp to Debir from the valley of Achor, and Northwarde, turning toward Gilgal, that lyeth before the going vp to Adummim, which is on the Southside of the riuer: also this border goeth vp to the waters of En-shemesh, and endeth at En-rogel.
8 Puis cette frontière montera par la vallée du fils de Hinnom, jusqu'au côté de Jébusi vers le Midi, qui est Jérusalem; puis cette frontière montera jusqu'au sommet de la montagne, qui est vis-à-vis de la vallée de Hinnom, vers l'Occident, [et] qui est au bout de la vallée des Réphaïms, vers le Septentrion.
Then this border goeth vp to the valley of the sonne of Hinnom; on the Southside of the Iebusites: the same is Ierusalem. also this border goeth vp to the top of the mountaine that lyeth before the valley of Hinnom Westward, which is by the end of the valley of ye gyants Northward.
9 Et cette frontière s'alignera depuis le sommet de la montagne jusqu'à la fontaine des eaux de Nephtoah, et sortira vers les villes de la montagne de Héphron; puis cette frontière s'alignera à Bahala, qui est Kirjath-jéharim.
So this border compasseth from the top of the mountaine vnto the fountaine of the water of Nephtoah, and goeth out to the cities of mount Ephron: and this border draweth to Baalah, which is Kiriath-iearim.
10 Et cette frontière se tournera depuis Bahala vers l'Occident, jusqu'à la montagne de Séhir; puis elle passera jusqu'au côté de la montagne de Jeharim vers le Septentrion, qui [est] Késalon; puis descendant à Beth-semes, elle passera à Timna.
Then this border compasseth from Baalah Westward vnto mount Seir, and goeth along vnto the side of mount Iearim, which is Chesalon on the Northside: so it commeth downe to Bethshemesh, and goeth to Timnah.
11 Et cette frontière sortira jusqu'au côté de Hekron, vers le Septentrion, et cette frontière s'alignera vers Sikkeron; puis ayant passé la montagne de Bahala, elle sortira à Jabnéël; tellement que les extrémités de cette frontière se rendront à la mer.
Also this border goeth out vnto the side of Ekron Northwarde: and this border draweth to Shicron, and goeth along to mount Baalah, and stretcheth vnto Iabneel: and the endes of this coast are to the Sea.
12 Or la frontière du côté de l'Occident sera ce qui est vers la grande mer, et ses limites. Ce furent les frontières des enfants de Juda de tous les côtés, selon leurs familles.
And the Westborder is to the great Sea: so this border shalbe the bounds of the children of Iudah round about, according to their families.
13 Au reste on avait donné à Caleb, fils de Jéphunné, une portion au milieu des enfants de Juda, suivant le commandement de l'Eternel fait à Josué, [savoir] Kirjath-Arbah, [or Arbah était] père de Hanak; [et Kirjath-Arbah] c'est Hébron.
And vnto Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh did Ioshua giue a part among the children of Iudah, as the Lord commanded him, euen Kiriath-arba of the father of Anak, which is Hebron.
14 Et Caleb déposséda de là les trois fils de Hanak, [savoir] Sesaï, Ahiman, et Talmaï, enfants de Hanak.
And Caleb droue thence three sonnes of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the sonnes of Anak.
15 Et de là il monta vers les habitants de Débir, dont le nom était auparavant Kirjath-sépher.
And he went vp thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before time was Kiriath-sepher.
16 Et Caleb dit: Je donnerai ma fille Hacsa pour femme à celui qui battra Kirjath-sépher, et la prendra.
Then Caleb sayd, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, euen to him wil I giue Achsah my daughter to wife.
17 Et Hothniel fils de Kénaz, frère de Caleb, la prit; et [Caleb] lui donna sa fille Hacsa pour femme.
And Othniel, the sonne of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb tooke it: and he gaue him Achsah his daughter to wife.
18 Et il arriva que comme elle s'en allait, elle l'incita à demander à son père un champ; puis elle descendit impétueusement de dessus son âne, et Caleb lui dit: Qu'as-tu?
And as she went in to him, she moued him, to aske of her father a fielde: and she lighted off her asse, and Caleb sayd vnto her, What wilt thou?
19 Et elle répondit: Donne-moi un présent; puisque tu m'as donné une terre sèche, donne-moi aussi des sources d'eau. Et il lui donna les fontaines de dessus et les fontaines de dessous.
Then she answered, Giue me a blessing: for thou hast giuen mee the South countrey: giue me also springs of water. And hee gaue her the springs aboue and the springs beneath.
20 C'est ici l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants de Juda selon leurs familles.
This shalbe the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Iudah according to their families.
21 Les villes de l'extrémité de la Tribu des enfants de Juda près des limites d'Edom, tirant vers le Midi, furent Kabtséel, Héder, Jagur,
And the vtmost cities of the tribe of the children of Iudah, toward the coastes of Edom Southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Iagur,
22 Kina, Dimona, Hadhada,
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 Kedès, Hatsor, Jithnan,
And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
24 Ziph, Télem, Béhaloth,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 Hatsor, Hadatta, Kérijoth, Hetsron qui [est] Hatsor,
And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hesron (which is Hazor)
26 Amam, Semah, Molada,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 Hatsar-gadda, Hesmon, Beth-pelet,
And Hazar, Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet,
28 Hatsar-suhal, Béersebah, Bizjotheja,
And Hasar-shual, and Beersheba, and Biziothiah,
29 Bahala, Hijim, Hetsem,
Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
30 Eltolad, Kesil, Hormah,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
31 Tsiklag, Madmanna, Sansanna,
And Ziklag, and Madmanna, and Sansannah,
32 Lebaoth, Silhim, Hajin et Rimmon; en tout vingt-neuf villes, et leurs villages.
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all these cities are twentie and nine with their villages.
33 Dans la plaine, Estaol, Tsorha, Asna,
In the lowe countrey were Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
34 Zanoah, Hengannim, Tappuah, Hénam,
And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35 Jarmuth, Hadullam, Soco, Hazeka,
Iarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36 Saharajim, Hadithajim, Guedera et Guederothajim; quatorze villes, et leurs villages.
And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim: fourteene cities with their villages.
37 Tsénan, Hedasa, Migdal-Gad,
Zenam, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,
38 Dilhan, Mitspé, Jokthéël,
And Dileam, and Mizpeh, and Ioktheel,
39 Lakis, Botskath, Héglon,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 Cabbon, Lahmas, Kithlis,
And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
41 Guederoth, Beth-Dahon, Nahama, et Makkéda; seize villes, et leurs villages.
And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah: sixteene cities with their villages.
42 Libna, Hether, Hasan,
Lebnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43 Jiphtah, Asna, Netsib,
And Iipthtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 Kehila, Aczib et Maresa; neuf villes, et leurs villages.
And Keilah, and Aczib, and Mareshah: nine cities with their villages.
45 Hekron, et les villes de son ressort, et ses villages.
Ekron with her townes and her villages,
46 Depuis Hekron, tirant même vers la mer, toutes celles qui [sont] joignant le ressort d'Asdod, et leurs villages.
From Ekron, euen vnto the Sea, all that lyeth about Ashdod with their villages.
47 Asdod, les villes de son ressort, et ses villages, Gaza, les villes de son ressort, et ses villages, jusqu'au torrent d'Egypte; et la grande mer, et ses limites.
Ashdod with her townes and her villages: Azzah with her townes and her villages, vnto the riuer of Egypt, and the great Sea was their coast.
48 Et dans la montagne, Samir, Jattir, Soco,
And in the mountaines were Shamir, and Iattir, and Socoh,
49 Danna, Kirjath-sanna, qui est Débir,
And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannath (which is Debir)
50 Hanab, Estemo, Hanim,
And Anab, and Ashtemoth, and Anim,
51 Gosen, Holon, et Guilo; onze villes et leurs villages.
And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh: eleuen cities with their villages,
52 Arab, Duma, Hesehan,
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
53 Janum, Beth-tappuah, Apheka,
And Ianum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah,
54 Humta, Kirjath-Arbah, qui est Hébron, et Tsihor; neuf villes, et leurs villages.
And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, (which is Hebron) and Zior: nine cities with their villages.
55 Mahon, Carmel, Ziph, Juta,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Iuttah,
56 Jizrehel, Jokdeham, Zanoah,
And Izreel, and Iokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 Kajin, Guibha, et Timna; dix villes, et leurs villages.
Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah: ten cities with their villages.
58 Halhul, Beth-tsur, Guédor,
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,
59 Maharath, Beth-hanoth, et Eltekon; six villes, et leurs villages.
And Maarah, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon: sixe cities with their villages.
60 Kirjath-bahal, qui est Kirjath-jéharim, et Rabba; deux villes, et leurs villages.
Kiriath-baal, which is Kiriath-iearim, and Rabbah: two cities with their villages.
61 Au désert, Beth-haraba, Middin, Secaca,
In the wildernes were Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 Nibsan, et la ville du sel, et Henguédi: six villes et leurs villages.
And Nibshan, and the citie of salt, and Engedi: sixe cities with their villages.
63 Au reste, les enfants de Juda ne purent point déposséder les Jébusiens qui habitaient à Jérusalem; c'est pourquoi le Jébusien a demeuré avec les enfants de Juda à Jérusalem jusqu'à ce jour.
Neuerthelesse, the Iebusites that were the inhabitants of Ierusalem, could not the children of Iudah cast out, but the Iebusites dwell with the children of Iudah at Ierusalem vnto this day.
