Josué 11
1 Et aussitôt que Jabin, Roi de Hatsor, eut appris ces choses, il envoya à Jobab Roi de Madon, et au Roi de Simron, et au Roi d'Acsaph,
And it was when heard Jabin [the] king of Hazor and he sent to Jobab [the] king of Madon and to [the] king of Shimron and to [the] king of Acshaph.
2 Et aux Rois qui [habitaient] vers le Septentrion, aux montagnes et dans la campagne, [vers] le Midi de Kinnaroth, et dans la plaine, et à Naphoth-Dor vers l'Occident;
And to the kings who [were] from [the] north in the hill country and in the Arabah south of Kinnereth and in the Shephelah and on [the] heights of Dor from [the] west.
3 Au Cananéen qui était à l'Orient et à l'Occident, à l'Amorrhéen, à l'Héthien, au Phérésien, au Jébusien dans les montagnes, et a l'Hévien sous Hermon au pays de Mitspa.
The Canaanite[s] from [the] east and from [the] west and the Amorite[s] and the Hittite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Jebusite[s] in the hill country and the Hivite[s] under Hermon in [the] land of Mizpah.
4 Ils sortirent donc et toutes leurs armées avec eux, un grand peuple, comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer, par leur multitude; il y avait aussi des chevaux et des chariots en fort grand nombre.
And they came out they and all armies their with them a people numerous like the sand which [is] on [the] shore of the sea for multitude and horse[s] and chariot[s] many very.
5 Tous ces Rois-là s'étant donnés assignation, vinrent, et se campèrent ensemble près des eaux de Mérom, pour combattre contre Israël.
And they gathered all the kings these and they came and they encamped together to [the] water of Merom to wage war with Israel.
6 Et l'Eternel dit à Josué: Ne les crains point; car demain, environ cette même heure, je les livrerai tous, blessés à mort, devant Israël; tu couperas les jarrets à leurs chevaux, et brûleras au feu leurs chariots.
And he said Yahweh to Joshua may not you be afraid because of them for tomorrow about the time this I [am] delivering up all of them slain before Israel horses their you will hamstring and chariots their you will burn with fire.
7 Josué donc et tous les gens de guerre avec lui vinrent promptement contr'eux près des eaux de Mérom, et les chargèrent.
And he came Joshua and all [the] people of war with him on them at [the] waters of Merom suddenly and they fell on them.
8 Et l'Eternel les livra entre les mains d'Israël, ils les battirent, et les poursuivirent jusqu'à Sidon la grande, et jusqu'aux eaux de Masréphoth, et jusqu'à la campagne de Mitspa, vers l'Orient, et ils les battirent tellement qu'ils n'en laissèrent échapper aucun.
And he gave them Yahweh in [the] hand of Israel and they struck down them and they pursued them to Sidon great and to Misrephoth Maim and to [the] valley of Mizpah east-wards and they struck down them until not he had left to them a survivor.
9 Et Josué leur fit comme l'Eternel lui avait dit; il coupa les jarrets de leurs chevaux, et brûla au feu leurs chariots.
And he did to them Joshua just as he had said to him Yahweh horses their he hamstrung and chariots their he burned with fire.
10 Et comme Josué s'en retournait en ce même temps, il prit Hatsor, et frappa son Roi avec l'épée; car Hatsor avait été auparavant la capitale de tous ces Royaumes-là.
And he turned back Joshua at the time that and he captured Hazor and king its he struck with the sword for Hazor before it [was] [the] head of all the kingdoms these.
11 Ils passèrent aussi toutes les personnes qui y étaient au tranchant de l'épée, les détruisant à la façon de l'interdit; il n'y resta aucune personne vivante, et on brûla au feu Hatsor.
And they struck every person who [was] in it to [the] mouth of [the] sword they totally destroyed [them] not it was left any breathing thing and Hazor he burned with fire.
12 Josué prit aussi toutes les villes de ces Rois-là, et tous leurs Rois, et les passa au tranchant de l'épée, [et] il les détruisit à la façon de l'interdit, comme Moïse serviteur de l'Eternel l'avait commandé.
And all [the] cities of the kings these and all kings their he captured Joshua and he struck them to [the] mouth of [the] sword he totally destroyed them just as he had commanded Moses [the] servant of Yahweh.
13 Mais Israël ne brûla aucune des villes, qui étaient demeurées en leur état, excepté Hatsor, que Josué brûla.
Only all the cities which were standing on mounds their not it burned them Israel except Hazor to alone it he burned Joshua.
14 Et les enfants d'Israël pillèrent pour eux tout le butin de ces villes-là, et les bêtes; seulement ils passèrent au tranchant de l'épée tous les hommes, jusqu'à ce qu'ils les eussent exterminés; ils n'y laissèrent de reste aucune personne vivante.
And all [the] booty of the cities these and the cattle they plundered for themselves [the] people of Israel only every man they struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword until had destroyed they them not they left any breathing thing.
15 Comme l'Eternel l'avait commandé à Moïse son serviteur, ainsi Moïse l'avait commandé à Josué; et Josué le fit ainsi; de sorte qu'il n'omit rien de tout ce que l'Eternel avait commandé à Moïse.
Just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses servant his so he commanded Moses Joshua and so he did Joshua not he left undone anything from all that he had commanded Yahweh Moses.
16 Josué donc prit tout ce pays-là, la montagne, et tout le pays du Midi, avec tout le pays de Gosen, la plaine, et la campagne, la montagne d'Israël, et sa plaine.
And he took Joshua all the land this the hill country and all the Negev and all [the] land of Goshen and the Shephelah and the Arabah and [the] hill country of Israel and Shephelah its.
17 Depuis la montagne de Halak, qui monte vers Séhir, même jusqu'à Bahal-Gad en la campagne du Liban, sous la montagne de Hermon. Il prit aussi tous leurs Rois, et les battit, et les fit mourir.
From the mountain Halak which goes up Seir and to Baal Gad in [the] valley of Lebanon under [the] mountain of Hermon and all kings their he captured and he struck them and he killed them.
18 Josué fit la guerre plusieurs jours contre tous ces Rois-là.
Days many he did Joshua with all the kings these battle.
19 Il n'y eut aucune ville qui fît la paix avec les enfants d'Israël, excepté les Héviens qui habitaient à Gabaon; ils les prirent toutes par guerre.
Not it was a city which it made peace to [the] people of Israel except the Hivite[s] [the] inhabitants of Gibeon everything they took in battle.
20 Car cela venait de l'Eternel qu'ils endurcissaient leur cœur pour sortir en bataille contre Israël, afin qu'il les détruisît à la façon de l'interdit, sans qu'il leur fît aucune grâce; mais qu'il les exterminât, comme l'Eternel l'avait commandé à Moïse.
For from with Yahweh - it was to strengthen heart their to meet the battle with Israel so as to totally destroy them to not to belong to them favor for so as to destroy them just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses.
21 En ce temps-là aussi Josué vint et extermina les Hanakins des montagnes, de Hébron, de Débir, de Hanab, et de toute montagne de Juda, et de toute montagne d'Israël; Josué, [dis-je], les détruisit à la façon de l'interdit avec leurs villes.
And he came Joshua at the time that and he cut off the Anakites from the hill country from Hebron from Debir from Anab and from all [the] hill country of Judah and from all [the] hill country of Israel with cities their he totally destroyed them Joshua.
22 Il ne resta aucun des Hanakins au pays des enfants d'Israël; il en demeura de reste seulement à Gaza, à Gath, et à Asdod.
Not it was left Anakites in [the] land of [the] people of Israel only in Gaza in Gath and in Ashdod they remained.
23 Josué donc prit tout le pays, suivant tout ce que l'Eternel avait dit à Moïse, et il le donna en héritage à Israël, selon leurs portions, et leurs Tribus; et le pays fut tranquille, sans avoir guerre.
And he took Joshua all the land according to all that he had spoken Yahweh to Moses and he gave it Joshua to an inheritance to Israel according to divisions their to tribes their and the land it was at peace from war.
