Hébreux 9
1 Le premier tabernacle avait donc des ordonnances touchant le culte divin, et un Sanctuaire terrestre.
The former indeed had also justifications of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
2 Car il fut construit un premier tabernacle, appelé le Lieu saint, dans lequel étaient le chandelier, et la table, et les pains de proposition.
For there was a tabernacle made the first, wherein were the candlesticks, and the table, and the setting forth of loaves, which is called the holy.
3 Et après le second voile [était] le Tabernacle, [qui était] appelé le lieu Très-saint.
And after the second veil, the tabernacle, which is called the holy of holies:
4 Ayant un encensoir d'or, et l'Arche de l'alliance, entièrement couverte d'or tout autour, dans laquelle était la cruche d'or où était la manne; et la verge d'Aaron qui avait fleuri, et les tables de l'alliance.
Having a golden censer, and the ark of the testament covered about on every part with gold, in which was a golden pot that had manna, and the rod of Aaron, that had blossomed, and the tables of the testament.
5 Et au-dessus de l'Arche étaient les Chérubins de gLoire, faisant ombre sur le Propitiatoire, desquelles choses il n'est pas besoin maintenant de parler en détail.
And over it were the cherubims of glory overshadowing the propitiatory: of which it is not needful to speak now particularly.
6 Or ces choses étant ainsi disposées, les Sacrificateurs entrent bien toujours dans le premier Tabernacle pour accomplir le service;
Now these things being thus ordered, into the first tabernacle the priests indeed always entered, accomplishing the offices of sacrifices.
7 Mais le seul souverain Sacrificateur entre dans le second une fois l'an, [mais] non sans [y porter] du sang, lequel il offre pour lui-même, et pour les fautes du peuple;
But into the second, the high priest alone, once a year: not without blood, which he offereth for his own, and the people’s ignorance:
8 Le Saint-Esprit faisant connaître par là, que le chemin des lieux Saints n'était pas encore manifesté, tandis que le premier Tabernacle était encore debout, lequel était une figure destinée pour le temps d'alors;
The Holy Ghost signifying this, that the way into the holies was not yet made manifest, whilst the former tabernacle was yet standing.
9 Durant lequel étaient offerts des dons et des sacrifices; qui ne pouvaient point sanctifier la conscience de celui qui faisait le service,
Which is a parable of the time present: according to which gifts and sacrifices are offered, which can not, as to the conscience, make him perfect that serveth, only in meats and in drinks,
10 Ordonnés seulement en viandes, en breuvages, en diverses ablutions, et en des cérémonies charnelles, jusqu'au temps que cela serait redressé.
And divers washings, and justices of the flesh laid on them until the time of correction.
11 Mais Christ étant venu [pour être] le souverain Sacrificateur des biens à venir, par un plus excellent et plus parfait tabernacle, qui n'est pas un [tabernacle] fait de main, c'est-à-dire, qui soit de cette structure,
But Christ, being come an high priest of the good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hand, that is, not of this creation:
12 Il est entré une fois dans les lieux Saints avec son propre sang, et non avec le sang des veaux ou des boucs, après avoir obtenu une rédemption éternelle. (aiōnios g166)
Neither by the blood of goats, or of calves, but by his own blood, entered once into the holies, having obtained eternal redemption. (aiōnios g166)
13 Car si le sang des taureaux et des boucs, et la cendre de la génisse, de laquelle on fait aspersion, sanctifie quant à la pureté de la chair, ceux qui sont souillés;
For if the blood of goats and of oxen, and the ashes of an heifer being sprinkled, sanctify such as are defiled, to the cleansing of the flesh:
14 Combien plus le sang de Christ, qui par l'Esprit éternel s'est offert lui-même à Dieu sans nulle tache, purifiera-t-il votre conscience des œuvres mortes, pour servir le Dieu vivant? (aiōnios g166)
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God? (aiōnios g166)
15 C'est pourquoi il est Médiateur du Nouveau Testament, afin que la mort intervenant pour la rançon des transgressions qui étaient sous le premier Testament, ceux qui sont appelés reçoivent [l'accomplissement] de la promesse [qui leur a été faite] de l'héritage éternel. (aiōnios g166)
And therefore he is the mediator of the new testament: that by means of his death, for the redemption of those transgressions, which were under the former testament, they that are called may receive the promise of eternal inheritance. (aiōnios g166)
16 Car où il y a un testament, il est nécessaire que la mort du testateur intervienne.
For where there is a testament, the death of the testator must of necessity come in.
17 Parce que c'est par la mort du [testateur] qu'un testament est rendu ferme, vu qu'il n'a point encore de vertu durant que le testateur est en vie.
For a testament is of force, after men are dead: otherwise it is as yet of no strength, whilst the testator liveth.
18 C'est pourquoi le premier [testament] lui-même n'a point été confirmé sans du sang.
Whereupon neither was the first indeed dedicated without blood.
19 Car après que Moïse eut récité à tout le peuple tous les commandements selon la Loi, ayant pris le sang des veaux et des boucs, avec de l'eau et de la laine teinte en pourpre, et de l'hysope, il en fit aspersion sur le Livre, et sur tout le peuple;
For when every commandment of the law had been read by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,
20 En disant: c'est ici le sang du Testament, lequel Dieu vous a ordonné [d'observer].
Saying: This is the blood of the testament, which God hath enjoined unto you.
21 Il fit aussi aspersion du sang sur le Tabernacle, et sur tous les vaisseaux du service.
The tabernacle also and all the vessels of the ministry, in like manner, he sprinkled with blood.
22 Et presque toutes choses selon la Loi sont purifiées par le sang; et sans effusion de sang il ne se fait point de rémission.
And almost all things, according to the law, are cleansed with blood: and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
23 Il a donc fallu que les choses qui représentaient celles qui sont aux cieux, fussent purifiées par de telles choses, mais que les célestes le [soient] par des sacrifices plus excellents que ceux-là.
It is necessary therefore that the patterns of heavenly things should be cleansed with these: but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 Car Christ n'est point entré dans les lieux Saints faits de main, qui étaient des figures correspondantes aux vrais, mais il [est entré] au Ciel même, afin de comparaître maintenant pour nous devant la face de Dieu.
For Jesus is not entered into the holies made with hands, the patterns of the true: but into heaven itself, that he may appear now in the presence of God for us.
25 Non qu'il s'offre plusieurs fois lui-même, ainsi que le souverain Sacrificateur entre dans les lieux Saints chaque année avec un autre sang;
Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holies, every year with the blood of others:
26 (Autrement il aurait fallu qu'il eût souffert plusieurs fois depuis la fondation du monde) mais maintenant en la consommation des siècles il a paru une seule fois pour l'abolition du péché, par le sacrifice de soi-même. (aiōn g165)
For then he ought to have suffered often from the beginning of the world: but now once at the end of ages, he hath appeared for the destruction of sin, by the sacrifice of himself. (aiōn g165)
27 Et comme il est ordonné aux hommes de mourir une seule fois, et qu'après cela [suit] le jugement.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgment:
28 De même aussi Christ ayant été offert une seule fois pour ôter les péchés de plusieurs, apparaîtra une seconde fois sans péché à ceux qui l'attendent à salut.
So also Christ was offered once to exhaust the sins of many; the second time he shall appear without sin to them that expect him unto salvation.
