Genèse 45
1 Alors Joseph ne put plus se retenir devant tous ceux qui étaient là présents, et il cria: Faites sortir tout le monde; et personne ne demeura avec lui quand il se fit connaître à ses frères.
And Ioseph coude no longer refrayne before all them that stode aboute him but commaunded that they shuld goo all out from him and that there shuld be no man with him whyle he vttred him selfe vnto his brethern.
2 Et en pleurant il éleva sa voix, et les Egyptiens l'entendirent, et la maison de Pharaon l'entendit aussi.
And he wepte alowde so that the Egiptians and the house of Pharao herde it.
3 Or Joseph dit à ses frères: Je suis Joseph; mon père vit-il encore? Mais ses frères ne lui pouvaient répondre, car ils étaient tout troublés de sa présence.
And he sayde vnto his brethern: I am Ioseph: doth my father yet lyue? But his brethern coude not answere him for they were abasshed at his presence.
4 Joseph dit encore à ses frères: Je vous prie, approchez-vous de moi; et ils s'approchèrent, et il leur dit: Je suis Joseph votre frère, que vous avez vendu pour être mené en Egypte.
And Ioseph sayde vnto his brethern: come nere to me and they came nere. And he sayde: I am Ioseph youre brother whom ye sold in to Egipte.
5 Mais maintenant ne soyez pas en peine, et n'ayez point de regret de ce que vous m'avez vendu [pour être mené] ici, car Dieu m'a envoyé devant vous pour la conservation de [votre] vie.
And now be not greued therwith nether let it seme a cruel thinge in youre eyes that ye solde me hither. For God dyd send me before you to saue lyfe.
6 Car voici il y a déjà deux ans que la famine est en la terre, et il y aura encore cinq ans, pendant lesquels il n'y aura ni labourage, ni moisson.
For this is the seconde yere of derth in the lande and fyue moo are behynde in which there shall nether be earynge nor hervest.
7 Mais Dieu m'a envoyé devant vous, pour vous faire subsister sur la terre, et vous faire vivre par une grande délivrance.
Wherfore God sent me before you to make prouision that ye myghte continue in the erth and to save youre lyues by a greate delyuerance.
8 Maintenant donc ce n'est pas vous qui m'avez envoyé ici, mais [c'est] Dieu, lequel m'a établi pour père à Pharaon, et pour Seigneur sur toute sa maison, et pour commander dans tout le pays d'Egypte.
So now it was not ye that sent me hither but God: and he hath made me father vnto Pharao and lorde ouer all his house and rueler in all the land of Egipte.
9 Hâtez-vous d'aller vers mon père, et dites-lui: Ainsi a dit ton fils Joseph: Dieu m'a établi Seigneur sur toute l'Egypte, descends vers moi, ne t'arrête point.
Hast you ad goo to my father and tell him this sayeth thy sonne Ioseph: God hath made me lorde ouer all Egipte. Come downe vnto me and tarye not
10 Et tu habiteras dans la contrée de Goscen, et tu seras près de moi, toi et tes enfants, et les enfants de tes enfants, et tes troupeaux, et tes bœufs, et tout ce qui est à toi.
And thou shalt dwell in the londe of Gosan and be by me: both thou and thi childern and thi childerns childern: and thy shepe and beestes and all that thou hast.
11 Et je t'entretiendrai là, car il [y a] encore cinq années de famine, de peur que tu ne périsses par la misère, toi et ta maison, et tout ce qui est à toi.
There will I make provision for the: for there remayne yet v yeres of derth lest thou and thi houshold and all that thou hast perish.
12 Et voici, vous voyez de vos yeux, et Benjamin mon frère voit aussi de ses yeux, que c'est moi qui vous parle de ma propre bouche.
Beholde youre eyes do se and the eyes also of my brother Ben Iamin that I speake to you by mouth.
13 Rapportez donc à mon père quelle est ma gloire en Egypte, et tout ce que vous avez vu; et hâtez-vous, et faites descendre ici mon père.
Therfore tell my father of all my honoure which I haue in Egipte and of all that ye haue sene ad make hast and brynge in father hither.
14 Alors il se jeta sur le cou de Benjamin son frère, et pleura. Benjamin pleura aussi sur son cou.
And he fell on his brother Ben Iamis necke and wepte and Ben Iamin wepte on his necke.
15 Puis il baisa tous ses frères, et pleura sur eux; après cela ses frères parlèrent avec lui.
Moreouer he fylled all his brethern and wepte apon them. And after that his brethern talked with him.
16 Et on en entendit le bruit dans la maison de Pharaon, disant: Les frères de Joseph sont venus; ce qui plut fort à Pharaon et à ses serviteurs.
And when the tidynges was come vnto Pharaos housse that Iosephes brethern were come it pleased Pharao well and all his seruauntes.
17 Alors Pharaon dit à Joseph: Dis à tes frères: Faites ceci, chargez vos bêtes, et partez pour vous en retourner au pays de Canaan;
And Pharao spake vnto Ioseph: saye vnto thy brethern this do ye: lade youre beestes ad get you hence And when ye be come vnto the londe of Canaan
18 Et prenez votre père et vos familles, et revenez vers moi, et je vous donnerai du meilleur du pays d'Egypte; et vous mangerez la graisse de la terre.
take youre father and youre housholdes and come vnto me and I will geue you the beste of the lande of Egipte and ye shall eate the fatt of the londe.
19 Or tu as la puissance de commander: Faites ceci, prenez avec vous du pays d'Egypte des chariots pour vos petits enfants et pour vos femmes; et amenez votre père, et venez.
And commaunded also. This do ye: take charettes with you out of the lande of Egipte for youre childern and for youre wyues: and brynge youre father and come.
20 Ne regrettez point vos meubles; car le meilleur de tout le pays d'Egypte sera à vous.
Also regarde not youre stuff for the goodes of all the londe of Egipte shalbe youres.
21 Et les enfants d'Israël le firent ainsi. Et Joseph leur donna des chariots selon l'ordre de Pharaon; il leur donna aussi de la provision pour le chemin.
And the childern of Israell dyd euen so And Ioseph gaue them charettes at the commaundment of Pharao and gaue them vitayle also to spende by the waye.
22 Il leur donna à chacun des robes de rechange; et il donna à Benjamin trois cents [pièces] d'argent, et cinq robes de rechange.
And he gaue vnto eche of them chaunge of rayment: but vnto Ben Iamin he gaue. iij. hundred peces of syluer and. v. chaunge of rayment.
23 Il envoya aussi à son père dix ânes chargés des plus excellentes choses [qu'il y eût] en Egypte, et dix ânesses portant du blé, du pain, et des vivres à son père pour le chemin.
And vnto his father he sent after the same maner: x. he asses laden with good out of Egipte and. x. she asses laden with corne bred and meate: to serue his father by the waye.
24 Il renvoya donc ses frères, et ils partirent; et il leur dit: Ne vous querellez point en chemin.
So sent he his brethern awaye and they departed. And he sayde vnto them: se that ye fall nor out by the waye.
25 Ainsi ils remontèrent d'Egypte, et vinrent à Jacob leur père au pays de Canaan.
And they departed from Egipte and came in to the land of Canaan vnto Iacob their father and told him saynge.
26 Et ils lui rapportèrent et lui dirent: Joseph vit encore, et même il commande sur tout le pays d'Egypte; et le cœur lui défaillit, quoiqu'il ne les crût pas.
Ioseph is yet a lyue and is gouerner ouer all the land of Egipte. And Iacobs hert wauered for he beleued tho not.
27 Et ils lui dirent toutes les paroles que Joseph leur avait dites; puis il vit les chariots que Joseph avait envoyés pour le porter; et l'esprit revint à Jacob leur père.
And they tolde him all the wordes of Ioseph which he had sayde vnto them. But when he sawe the charettes which Ioseph had sent to carie him then his sprites reviued.
28 Alors Israël dit: C'est assez, Joseph mon fils vit encore, j'irai, et je le verrai avant que je meure.
And Israel sayde. I haue ynough yf Ioseph my sonne be yet alyue: I will goo and se him yer that I dye.
