Genèse 15
1 Après ces choses, la parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Abram dans une vision, en disant: Abram, ne crains point, je suis ton bouclier, et ta grande récompense.
After - the things these it came [the] word of Yahweh to Abram in the vision saying may not you fear O Abram I [am] a shield of you reward your [will be] great very.
2 Et Abram répondit: Seigneur Eternel, que me donneras-tu? je m'en vais sans [laisser] d'enfants [après moi], et celui qui a le maniement de ma maison c'est ce Dammésec Elihézer.
And he said Abram O Lord Yahweh what? will you give to me and I [am] going childless and [the] son of [the] acquisition of household my he [is] Damascus Eliezer.
3 Abram dit aussi: Voici, tu ne m'as point donné d'enfants; et voilà, le serviteur né dans ma maison, sera mon héritier.
And he said Abram here! to me not you have given offspring and there! [the] son of household my [is] inheriting me.
4 Et voici, la parole de l'Eternel lui [fut adressée] en disant: Celui-ci ne sera point ton héritier; mais celui qui sortira de tes entrailles sera ton héritier.
And there! [the] word of Yahweh [was] to him saying not he will inherit you this [one] that except [one] who he will come out from inward parts your he he will inherit you.
5 Puis l'ayant fait sortir dehors, il lui dit: Lève maintenant les yeux au ciel, et compte les étoiles, si tu les peux compter; et il lui dit: Ainsi sera ta postérité.
And he brought out him the outside towards and he said look please the heavens towards and count the stars if you are able to count them and he said to him thus it will be offspring your.
6 Et [Abram] crut à l'Eternel, qui lui imputa cela à justice.
And he believed in Yahweh and he credited it to him righteousness.
7 Et il lui dit: Je suis l'Eternel qui t'ai fait sortir d'Ur des Caldéens, afin de te donner ce pays-ci pour le posséder.
And he said to him I [am] Yahweh who I brought out you from Ur of [the] Chaldeans to give to you the land this to take possession of it.
8 Et il dit: Seigneur Eternel, à quoi connaîtrai-je que je le posséderai?
And he said O Lord Yahweh how? will I know that I will take possession of it.
9 Et il lui répondit: Prends une génisse de trois ans, et une chèvre de trois ans, et un bélier de trois ans, une tourterelle, et un pigeon.
And he said to him bring! to me a heifer three years old and a goat three years old and a ram three years old and a turtle-dove and a young pigeon.
10 Il prit donc toutes ces choses, et les partagea par le milieu, et mit chaque moitié vis-à-vis l'une de l'autre; mais il ne partagea point les oiseaux.
And he brought to him all these and he cut in pieces them in the middle and he set each piece its to meet neighbor its and the bird[s] not he cut in two.
11 Et une volée d'oiseaux descendit sur ces bêtes mortes; mais Abram les chassa.
And it came down the bird[s] of prey on the carcasses and he drove away them Abram.
12 Et il arriva comme le soleil se couchait, qu'un profond sommeil tomba sur Abram, et voici, une frayeur d'une grande obscurité tomba sur lui.
And it was the sun [about] to go and a deep sleep it fell on Abram and there! dread darkness great [was] falling on him.
13 Et [l'Eternel] dit à Abram: Sache comme une chose certaine que ta postérité habitera quatre cents ans comme étrangère dans un pays qui ne lui appartiendra point, et qu'elle sera asservie aux habitants [du pays], et sera affligée;
And he said to Abram certainly you will know that a sojourner - it will be offspring your in a land [which] not [belongs] to them and they will serve them and they will afflict them four hundred year[s].
14 Mais aussi je jugerai la nation, à laquelle ils seront asservis, et après cela ils sortiront avec de grands biens.
And also the nation which they will serve [will be] judging I and after thus they will come out with possession[s] great.
15 Et toi tu t'en iras vers tes pères en paix, et seras enterré en bonne vieillesse.
And you you will go to ancestors your in peace you will be buried in old age good.
16 Et en la quatrième génération ils retourneront ici; car l'iniquité des Amorrhéens n'est pas encore venue à son comble.
And [the] generation fourth they will return hither for not [is] complete [the] iniquity of the Amorite[s] until now.
17 Il arriva aussi que le soleil étant couché, il y eut une obscurité toute noire, et voici un four fumant, et un brandon de feu qui passa entre ces choses qui avaient été partagées.
And it was the sun it had gone and darkness it was and there! a fire pot of smoke and a torch of fire which it passed between the pieces these.
18 En ce jour-là l'Eternel traita alliance avec Abram, en disant: J'ai donné ce pays à ta postérité, depuis le fleuve d'Egypte jusqu'au grand fleuve, le fleuve d'Euphrate;
On the day that he made Yahweh with Abram a covenant saying to offspring your I give the land this from [the] river of Egypt to the river great [the] river of Euphrates.
19 Les Kéniens, les Kéniziens, les Kadmoniens,
The Kenite[s] and the Kenizzite[s] and the Kadmonite[s].
20 Les Héthiens, les Phérésiens, les Réphaïms,
And the Hittite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Rephaites.
21 Les Amorrhéens, les Cananéens, les Guirgasiens, et les Jébusiens.
And the Amorite[s] and the Canaanite[s] and the Girgashite[s] and the Jebusite[s].
