Genèse 1
1 Au commencement DIEU créa les cieux et la terre.
In the beginning God created the heauen and the earth.
2 Et la terre était sans forme, et vide, et les ténèbres [étaient] sur la face de l'abîme; et l'Esprit de Dieu se mouvait sur le dessus des eaux.
And the earth was without forme and void, and darkenesse was vpon the deepe, and the Spirit of God mooued vpon the waters.
3 Et Dieu dit: Que la lumière soit; et la lumière fut.
Then God said, Let there be light: And there was light.
4 Et Dieu vit que la lumière était bonne; et Dieu sépara la lumière des ténèbres.
And God saw the light that it was good, and God separated the light from the darkenes.
5 Et Dieu nomma la lumière, jour; et les ténèbres, nuit. Ainsi fut le soir, ainsi fut le matin; [ce fut] le premier jour.
And God called the Light, Day, and the darkenes, he called Night. So the euening and the morning were the first day.
6 Puis Dieu dit: Qu'il y ait une étendue entre les eaux, et qu'elle sépare les eaux d'avec les eaux.
Againe God said, Let there be a firmament in the mids of the waters: and let it separate the waters from the waters.
7 Dieu donc fit l'étendue, et il sépara les eaux qui sont au-dessous de l'étendue, d'avec celles qui sont au-dessus de l'étendue, et il fut ainsi.
Then God made the firmament, and separated the waters, which were vnder the firmament, from the waters which were aboue the firmament: and it was so.
8 Et Dieu nomma l'étendue, cieux. Ainsi fut le soir, ainsi fut le matin; [ce fut] le second jour.
And God called the firmament Heauen. So the Euening and the morning were the second day.
9 Puis Dieu dit: Que les eaux qui sont au-dessous des cieux soient rassemblées en un lieu, et que le sec paraisse; et il fut ainsi.
God said againe, Let the waters vnder the heauen be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appeare. and it was so.
10 Et Dieu nomma le sec, terre; et il nomma l'amas des eaux, mers; et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
And God called the dry land, Earth, and he called the gathering together of the waters, Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 Puis Dieu dit: Que la terre pousse son jet, de l'herbe portant de la semence, et des arbres fruitiers, portant du fruit selon leur espèce, qui aient leur semence en eux-mêmes sur la terre; et il fut ainsi.
Then God said, Let the earth bud forth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seed, the fruitfull tree, which beareth fruite according to his kinde, which hath his seede in it selfe vpon the earth: and it was so.
12 La terre donc produisit son jet, [savoir] de l'herbe portant de la semence selon son espèce; et des arbres portant du fruit, qui avaient leur semence en eux-mêmes, selon leur espèce; et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
And the earth brought foorth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seede according to his kind, also the tree that beareth fruit, which hath his seed in it selfe according to his kinde: and God saw that it was good.
13 Ainsi fut le soir, ainsi fut le matin; [ce fut] le troisième jour.
So the euening and the morning were the third day.
14 Puis Dieu dit: Qu'il y ait des luminaires dans l'étendue des cieux, pour séparer la nuit d'avec le jour, et qui servent de signes pour les saisons, et pour les jours, et pour les années;
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heauen, to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signes, and for seasons, and for dayes and yeeres.
15 Et qui soient pour luminaires dans l'étendue des cieux, afin d'éclairer la terre; et il fut ainsi.
And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heauen to giue light vpon the earth: and it was so.
16 Dieu donc fit deux grands luminaires, le plus grand luminaire pour dominer sur le jour, et le moindre pour dominer sur la nuit; [il fit] aussi les étoiles.
God then made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesse light to rule the night: he made also the starres.
17 Et Dieu les mit dans l'étendue des cieux pour éclairer la terre,
And God set them in the firmament of the heauen, to shine vpon the earth,
18 Et pour dominer sur le jour et sur la nuit, et pour séparer la lumière des ténèbres; et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
And to rule in the day, and in the night, and to separate the light from the darkenesse: and God saw that it was good.
19 Ainsi fut le soir, ainsi fut le matin; [ce fut] le quatrième jour.
So the euening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 Puis Dieu dit: Que les eaux produisent en toute abondance des reptiles qui aient vie; et [qu'il y ait] des oiseaux, qui volent sur la terre vers l'étendue des cieux.
Afterward God said, Let the waters bring foorth in abundance euery creeping thing that hath life: and let the foule flie vpon the earth in the open firmament of the heauen.
21 Dieu donc créa les grandes baleines et tous les animaux se mouvant, lesquels les eaux produisirent en toute abondance, selon leur espèce; [il créa] aussi tout oiseau ayant des ailes, selon son espèce; et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
Then God created the great whales, and euery thing liuing and mouing, which the waters brought foorth in abundance according to their kinde, and euery fethered foule according to his kinde: and God sawe that it was good.
22 Et Dieu les bénit, en disant: Croissez et multipliez, et remplissez les eaux dans les mers, et que les oiseaux multiplient sur la terre.
Then God blessed them, saying, Bring foorth fruite and multiplie, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the foule multiplie in the earth.
23 Ainsi fut le soir, ainsi fut le matin; [ce fut] le cinquième jour.
So the euening and the morning were the fifte day.
24 Puis Dieu dit: Que la terre produise des animaux selon leur espèce, le bétail, les reptiles, et les bêtes de la terre selon leur espèce; et il fut ainsi.
Moreouer God said, Let the earth bring foorth the liuing thing according to his kinde, cattel, and that which creepeth, and the beast of the earth, according to his kinde. and it was so.
25 Dieu donc fit les bêtes de la terre selon leur espèce, et le bétail selon son espèce, et les reptiles de la terre selon leur espèce; et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
And God made the beast of the earth according to his kinde, and the cattell according to his kinde, and euery creeping thing of the earth according to his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 Puis Dieu dit: Faisons l'homme à notre image, selon notre ressemblance, et qu'il domine sur les poissons de la mer, et sur les oiseaux des cieux, et sur le bétail, et sur toute la terre, et sur tout reptile qui rampe sur la terre.
Furthermore God said, Let vs make man in our image according to our likenes, and let them rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer the beastes, and ouer all the earth, and ouer euery thing that creepeth and moueth on the earth.
27 Dieu donc créa l'homme à son image, il le créa à l'image de Dieu, il les créa mâle et femelle.
Thus God created the man in his image: in the image of God created he him: he created them male and female.
28 Et Dieu les bénit, et leur dit: Croissez, et multipliez, et remplissez la terre; et l'assujettissez, et dominez sur les poissons de la mer, et sur les oiseaux des cieux, et sur toute bête qui se meut sur la terre.
And God blessed them, and God said to them, Bring forth fruite and multiplie, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer euery beast that moueth vpon the earth.
29 Et Dieu dit: Voici, je vous ai donné toute herbe portant semence qui est sur toute la terre, et tout arbre qui a en soi-même du fruit d'arbre portant semence, [et cela] vous sera pour nourriture.
And God said, Beholde, I haue giuen vnto you euery herbe bearing seede, which is vpon al the earth, and euery tree, wherein is the fruite of a tree bearing seede: that shall be to you for meate.
30 Mais [j'ai donné] à toutes les bêtes de la terre, et à tous les oiseaux des cieux et à toute chose qui se meut sur la terre, ayant vie en soi-même, toute herbe verte pour manger; et il fut ainsi.
Likewise to euery beast of the earth, and to euery foule of the heauen, and to euery thing that moueth vpon the earth, which hath life in it selfe, euery greene herbe shall be for meate. and it was so.
31 Et Dieu vit tout ce qu'il avait fait, et voilà il était très-bon; ainsi fut le soir, ainsi fut le matin; [ce fut] le sixième jour.
And God sawe all that he had made, and loe, it was very good. So the euening and the morning were the sixt day.
