Ézéchiel 4

1 Et toi, fils d'homme, prends-toi un tableau carré, et le mets devant toi, et traces-y la ville de Jérusalem.

But thou, O son of man, take thyself a tile, and lay it before thee, and engrave upon it a city, [namely, ] Jerusalem:

2 Puis tu mettras le siège contre elle, tu bâtiras contre elle des forts, tu élèveras contre elle des terrasses, tu poseras des camps contre elle, et tu mettras autour d'elle des machines pour la battre.

And place around it a siege, and build works of attack against it, and cast up a mound against it; and arrange around it encampments, and place against it battering rams round about.

3 Tu prendras aussi une plaque de fer, et tu la mettras pour un mur de fer entre toi et la ville, et tu dresseras ta face contre elle, et elle sera assiégée, et tu l'assiégeras; ce sera un signe à la maison d'Israël.

Moreover take thou unto thyself an iron pan, and set it up as a wall of iron between thee and the city: and direct thy face against it, that it may be placed in a state of siege, and lay siege against it. This shall be a sign for the house of Israel.

4 Après tu dormiras sur ton côté gauche, et tu mettras sur lui l'iniquité de la maison d'Israël; selon le nombre des jours que tu dormiras sur ce [côté], tu porteras leur iniquité.

And as for thyself, lie upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: [after] the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it shalt thou bear their iniquity.

5 Et je t'ai assigné les ans de leur iniquité selon le nombre des jours, [savoir] trois cent quatre-vingt-dix jours; ainsi tu porteras l'iniquité de la maison d'Israël.

But as for myself, I lay upon thee the years of their iniquity, after the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

6 Et quand tu auras accompli ces jours-là, tu dormiras la seconde fois sur ton côté droit, et tu porteras l'iniquité de la maison de Juda pendant quarante jours, un jour pour un an; [car] je t'ai assigné un jour pour un an.

And when thou hast made an end of them, thou shalt lie on thy right side, the second time, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: a day each for a year, a day for a year do I lay it on thee.

7 Et tu dresseras ta face vers le siège ordonné contre Jérusalem, et ton bras sera retroussé; et tu prophétiseras contre elle.

And toward the siege of Jerusalem shalt thou direct thy face with thy arm uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.

8 Or voici j'ai mis sur toi des cordes, et tu ne te tourneras point de l'un de tes côtés à l'autre, jusqu'à ce que tu aies accompli les jours de ton siège.

And, behold, I will lay ropes upon thee, that thou mayest not turn thyself from one side to the other, till thou hast made an end of the days of thy siege.

9 Tu prendras aussi du froment, de l'orge, des fèves, des lentilles, du millet, et de l'épeautre, et tu les mettras dans un vaisseau, et t'en feras du pain selon le nombre des jours que tu dormiras sur ton côté; tu en mangeras pendant trois cent quatre-vingt-dix jours.

But thou take unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make thyself bread thereof, [after] the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days, shalt thou eat it.

10 Et la viande que tu mangeras sera du poids de vingt sicles par jour; et tu la mangeras depuis un temps jusqu'à l'autre temps.

And thy food which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels for every day: from one time to the other time shalt thou eat it.

11 Et tu boiras de l'eau par mesure, [savoir] la sixième partie d'un Hin; tu la boiras depuis un temps jusqu'à l'autre temps.

And water shalt thou drink by measure, the sixth part of a hin: from one time to the other time shalt thou drink [it].

12 Tu mangeras aussi des gâteaux d'orge, et tu les cuiras avec de la fiente sortie de l'homme, eux le voyant.

And in form of a barley-cake shalt thou eat it, and this shalt thou bake with balls of human excrement before their eyes.

13 Puis l'Eternel dit: les enfants d'Israël mangeront ainsi leur pain souillé parmi les nations vers lesquelles je les chasserai.

And the Lord said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean among the nations whither I will drive them.

14 Et je dis: ah! ah! Seigneur Eternel, voici, mon âme n'a point été souillée, et je n'ai mangé d'aucune bête morte d'elle-même, ou déchirée [par les bêtes sauvages], depuis ma jeunesse jusqu'à présent; et aucune chair impure n'est entrée dans ma bouche.

Then said I, Ah Lord Eternal! behold, my soul hath not been defiled; and that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces, have I never eaten from my youth up even until now; and never is flesh of abomination come into my mouth.

15 Et il me répondit: voici, je t'ai donné la fiente des bœufs, au lieu de la fiente de l'homme, et tu feras cuire ton pain avec cette fiente.

Then said he unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung instead of human excrement; and thou shalt prepare thy bread thereupon.

16 Puis il me dit: fils d'homme, voici, je m'en vais rompre le bâton du pain dans Jérusalem; et ils mangeront leur pain à poids, et avec chagrin; et ils boiront l'eau par mesure, et avec étonnement;

And he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem; and they shall eat bread by weight, and with anxious care; and they shall drink water by measure, and in confusion;

17 Parce que le pain et l'eau leur manqueront, et ils seront étonnés se regardant l'un l'autre, et ils fondront à cause de leur iniquité.

In order that they may want bread and water, and be confounded one with the other, and pine away for their iniquity.
