Ézéchiel 34
1 La parole de l'Eternel me fut encore [adressée], en disant:
Then the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
2 Fils d'homme, prophétise contre les Pasteurs d'Israël; prophétise, et dis à ces Pasteurs: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: malheur aux Pasteurs d'Israël qui ne paissent qu'eux-mêmes! Les pasteurs ne paissent-ils pas le troupeau?
“Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to them, 'The Lord Yahweh says this to the shepherds: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who are shepherding themselves. Should not shepherds guard the flock?
3 Vous en mangez la graisse, et vous vous habillez de la laine; vous tuez ce qui est gras, [et] vous ne paissez point le troupeau!
You eat the fatty portions and you dress in wool. You slaughter the fatlings of the flock. You do not shepherd at all.
4 Vous n'avez point fortifié les brebis languissantes, vous n'avez point donné de remède à celle qui était malade, vous n'avez point bandé la plaie de celle qui avait la jambe rompue, vous n'avez point ramené celle qui était chassée, et vous n'avez point cherché celle qui était perdue; mais vous les avez maîtrisées avec dureté et rigueur.
You have not strengthened those who have diseases, nor do you heal the ones who are ill. You do not bind up the ones who are broken, and you do not restore the outcasts or seek the lost. Instead, you rule over them through strength and violence.
5 Et elles ont été dispersées, par la disette des Pasteurs, et elles ont été exposées à toutes les bêtes des champs, pour en être dévorées, étant dispersées.
Then they were scattered without a shepherd, and they became food for all the living beasts in the fields, after they were scattered.
6 Mes brebis ont été errantes par toutes les montagnes, et par tous les coteaux élevés; mes brebis ont été dispersées sur tout le dessus de la terre; et il n'y a eu personne qui les recherchât, et il n'y a eu personne qui s'en enquît.
My flock strays on all of the mountains and on every high hill, and it is dispersed over the entire surface of the earth. Yet no one is searching for them.
7 C'est pourquoi Pasteurs, écoutez la parole de l'Eternel.
Therefore, shepherds, hear the word of Yahweh:
8 Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel, si je ne [fais justice] de ce que mes brebis ont été exposées en proie, et de ce que mes brebis ont été exposées à être dévorées de toutes les bêtes des champs, parce qu'elles n'avaient point de Pasteur; et de ce que mes Pasteurs n'ont point recherché mes brebis, mais que les Pasteurs se sont nourris simplement eux-mêmes, et n'ont point fait paître mes brebis.
As I live—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration—because my flock has become plunder and food for all the beasts in the fields, because there was no shepherd and none of my shepherds sought my flock, but the shepherds guarded themselves and did not shepherd my flock.
9 C'est pourquoi Pasteurs, écoutez la parole de l'Eternel.
Therefore, shepherds, hear the word of Yahweh:
10 Ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: Voici, j'en veux à ces Pasteurs-là, et je redemanderai mes brebis de leur main, je les ferai cesser de paître les brebis; et les pasteurs ne se repaîtront plus [uniquement] eux-mêmes, mais je délivrerai mes brebis de leur bouche, et elles ne seront plus dévorées par eux.
The Lord Yahweh says this: Behold! I am against the shepherds, and I will require my flock from their hand. Then I will dismiss them from shepherding the flock; neither will the shepherds any longer shepherd themselves since I will take away my flock from their mouths, so that my flock will no longer be food for them.
11 Car ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: me voici, je redemanderai mes brebis, et je les rechercherai.
For the Lord Yahweh says this: Behold! I myself will seek out my flock and I will look after them,
12 Comme le Pasteur se trouvant parmi son troupeau, recherche ses brebis dispersées; ainsi je rechercherai mes brebis, et les retirerai de tous les lieux où elles auront été dispersées au jour de la nuée et de l'obscurité.
like a shepherd seeking his flock on the day he is within the midst of his scattered flock. Thus I will seek my flock, and I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on the day of clouds and darkness.
13 Je les retirerai donc d'entre les peuples, et les rassemblerai des pays, et les ramènerai dans leur terre, et les nourrirai sur les montagnes d'Israël, auprès des cours des eaux et dans toutes les demeures du pays.
Then I will bring them out from among the peoples; I will gather them from the lands and bring them to their land. I will put them in pastures on the mountainsides of Israel, by the streams, and in every settlement in the land.
14 Je les paîtrai dans de bons pâturages, et leur parc sera dans les hautes montagnes d'Israël; et là elles coucheront dans un bon parc, et paîtront en de gras pâturages sur les montagnes d'Israël.
I will put them in good pastures; the high mountains of Israel will be their grazing places. They will lie down there in good places for grazing, in abundant pastures, and they will graze on the mountains of Israel.
15 Moi-même je paîtrai mes brebis, et les ferai reposer, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel.
I myself will shepherd my flock, and I myself will make them lie down—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration—
16 Je chercherai celle qui sera perdue, et je ramènerai celle qui sera chassée, je banderai la plaie de celle qui aura la jambe rompue, et je fortifierai celle qui sera malade; mais je détruirai la grasse et la forte; je les paîtrai par raison.
I will seek the lost and restore the outcast. I will bind up the broken sheep and heal the sick sheep but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd with justice.
17 Mais quant à vous, mes brebis; ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: voici, je m'en vais mettre à part les brebis, les béliers, et les boucs.
So now you, my flock—this is what the Lord Yahweh says—behold, I will be a judge between sheep and sheep and between rams and male goats.
18 Vous est-ce peu de chose d'être nourries de bonne pâture, que vous fouliez à vos pieds le reste de votre pâture? et de boire des eaux claires, que vous troubliez le reste avec vos pieds?
Is it not enough to feed on the good pasture, that you must trample down with your feet what is left of the pasture; and to drink from clear waters, that you must muddy the rivers with your feet?
19 Mais mes brebis sont nourries de la pâture que vous foulez à vos pieds, et elles boivent ce que vos pieds ont troublé.
Must my sheep eat what you have trampled with your feet, and drink what you have muddied with your feet?
20 C'est pourquoi le Seigneur l'Eternel leur a dit ainsi: me voici, je mettrai moi-même à part la brebis grasse, et la brebis maigre.
Therefore the Lord Yahweh says this to them: Behold! I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the thin ones,
21 Parce que vous avez poussé du côté et de l'épaule, et que vous heurtez de vos cornes toutes celles qui sont languissantes, jusqu'à ce que vous les ayez chassées dehors;
for you have pushed them with your sides and shoulders, and you have gored all of the weak ones with your horns until you have scattered them away from the land.
22 Je sauverai mon troupeau, tellement qu'il ne sera plus en proie, et je distinguerai entre brebis et brebis.
I will save my flock and they will no longer be plunder, and I will judge between one sheep and another!
23 Je susciterai sur elles un Pasteur qui les paîtra, [savoir] mon serviteur David; il les paîtra, et lui-même sera leur Pasteur.
I will set over them one shepherd, my servant David. He will shepherd them, he will feed them, and he will be their shepherd.
24 Et moi l'Eternel, je serai leur Dieu; et mon serviteur David sera Prince au milieu d'elles; moi l'Eternel j'ai parlé.
For I, Yahweh, will be their God, and my servant David will be a prince among them—I, Yahweh, have declared this.
25 Et je traiterai avec elles une alliance de paix; et je détruirai dans le pays les mauvaises bêtes; et [les brebis] habiteront au désert sûrement, et dormiront dans les forêts.
Then I will make a covenant of peace with them and remove the evil wild animals from the land, so that they will live securely in the wilderness and safely sleep in the forests.
26 Et je les comblerai de bénédiction, et tous les environs aussi de mon coteau; et je ferai tomber la pluie en sa saison; ce seront des pluies de bénédiction.
I will also bring blessings on them and on the places around my hill, for I will send out showers in due season. These will be showers of blessing.
27 Et les arbres des champs produiront leur fruit, et la terre rapportera son revenu; et elles seront en leur terre sûrement, et sauront que je suis l'Eternel, quand j'aurai rompu les bois de leur joug, et que je les aurai délivrées de la main de ceux qui se les asservissaient.
Then the trees of the field will produce their fruit, and the earth will yield its produce. My sheep will be secure in their land; then they will know that I am Yahweh, when I break the bars of their yoke, and when I rescue them from the hand of those who enslaved them.
28 Et elles ne seront plus en proie aux nations, [et] les bêtes de la terre ne les dévoreront plus; mais elles habiteront sûrement, et il n'y aura personne qui les épouvante.
They will no longer be plunder for the nations, and the wild animals on the earth will no longer devour them. For they will live securely, and no one will frighten them.
29 Je leur susciterai une plante célèbre; elles ne mourront plus de faim sur la terre, et elles ne porteront plus l'opprobre des nations.
For I will provide them a land known for its crops; so they will not be victims of famine in the land, and they will not bear the scorn of the nations.
30 Et ils sauront que moi l'Eternel leur Dieu suis avec eux, et qu'eux, la maison d'Israël, sont mon peuple, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel.
Then they will know that I, Yahweh their God, am with them. They are my people, the house of Israel—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.
31 Or vous êtes mes brebis, vous hommes, les brebis de mon pâturage, et je suis votre Dieu, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel.
For you are my sheep, the flock of my pasture, and my people, and I am your God—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.'”
