Ézéchiel 12
1 La parole de l'Eternel me fut encore [adressée], en disant:
Yahweh gave me another message. [He said, ]
2 Fils d'homme: tu demeures au milieu d'une maison rebelle, [au milieu de gens] qui ont des yeux pour voir, et ne voient point; et qui ont des oreilles pour ouïr, et n'entendent point; parce qu'ils [sont] une maison rebelle.
“You human, you are living among people who are [very] rebellious. They have eyes, but they do not [what I want them to see]; they have ears, but they do not [what I want them to hear], because they are rebellious/stubborn people.
3 Toi donc, fils d'homme, fais-toi l'équipage d'un homme qui déloge, et déloge de jour, eux le voyant; déloge, dis-je, de ton lieu pour aller en un autre, eux le voyant; peut-être qu'ils y prendront garde; quoiqu'ils soient une maison rebelle.
Therefore, you human, pack your belongings as though you were (going into exile/being forced to go to another country). Then, during the daytime, while people are watching, [prepare to] go to another place. Even though the people are rebellious, perhaps they will [what you are symbolizing].
4 Tu mettras donc dehors pendant le jour ton équipage, tel qu'est l'équipage d'un homme qui déloge, eux le voyant; et sur le soir tu sortiras, eux le voyant, comme quand on sort pour déloger.
During the daytime, while they are watching, bring out the things that you want to take and pack them. Then in the evening, while they are watching, do what those who are preparing to go into exile do.
5 Perce-toi la paroi, eux le voyant, et tire par-là dehors [ton équipage].
Dig through [city] wall and take your things through the hole.
6 Tu [le] porteras sur l'épaule, eux le voyant, et tu [le] tireras dehors sur la brune; tu couvriras aussi ton visage, afin que tu ne voies point la terre; car je t'ai mis pour être un signe à la maison d'Israël.
Then put [in a sack] on your shoulder while they are watching and leave at dusk. Cover your face in order that you cannot see the path. [I want you to do this] because I want you to warn the Israeli people.”
7 Je fis donc comme il m'avait été commandé: je portai dehors durant le jour mon équipage tel qu'est l'équipage d'un homme qui déloge, et sur le soir je me perçai la paroi avec la main, je le tirai dehors sur la brune, [et] le portai sur l'épaule, eux le voyant.
[So] I did what Yahweh told me to do. During the day I brought things out of my [as though] I was packing to go into exile. Then in the evening I dug through [city] wall. [Then] while people watched, I put my sack of belongings on my shoulder and left.
8 Et au matin la parole de l'Eternel me fut [adressée], en disant:
The next morning, Yahweh gave me this message:
9 Fils d'homme, la maison d'Israël, maison rebelle, ne t'a-t-elle pas dit: qu'est-ce que tu fais?
“You human, the rebellious people [MTY] of Israel asked you, ‘What are you doing?’
10 Dis-leur: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: Cet ordre dont je suis chargé s'adresse au Prince qui est dans Jérusalem, et à toute la maison d'Israël qui est parmi eux.
[So go back and] say to them, ‘What I did is about the king in Jerusalem and all the [other] people of Israel who are there.’
11 Dis: Je vous suis pour un signe; comme j'ai fait, ainsi il leur sera fait; ils délogeront pour s'en aller en captivité.
Tell [them], ‘[What I did] is a warning to you.’ What has happened to you will happen to them. They will be captured and forced to go to another country.
12 Et le Prince qui est parmi eux, portera sur la brune [son équipage] sur l'épaule, et sortira; on lui percera la paroi pour le tirer par-là dehors; il couvrira son visage, afin qu'il ne voie point de ses yeux la terre.
Their king will put his belongings on his shoulder at dusk and leave. [His servants] will dig a hole through the city wall, [and he will take his belongings] through it. He will cover his face in order [others will not recognize] him.
13 J'étendrai mon rets sur lui, et il sera pris dans mes filets; et je le ferai entrer dans Babylone au pays des Caldéens, mais il ne la verra point, et il y mourra.
[it will be as though] I will spread a net for [to be captured]; [enemy soldiers will] capture him and take him to [city]. But he will [be able to] see it; and there he will die.
14 Et je disperserai à tout vent tout ce qui est autour de lui, son secours, et toutes ses troupes; et je tirerai l'épée après eux.
I will scatter in all directions [IDM] all those who have been around him—his advisors and his soldiers—and I will cause his enemies to pursue them, with their swords ready to strike them.
15 Et ils sauront que je suis l'Eternel, quand je les aurai répandus parmi les nations, et que je les aurai dispersés par les pays.
Then, when I scatter them among many nations [DOU], they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
16 Et je laisserai de reste d'entre eux quelque peu de gens, [préservés] de l'épée, de la famine, et de la mortalité, afin qu'ils racontent toutes leurs abominations, parmi les nations vers lesquelles ils seront parvenus; et ils sauront que je suis l'Eternel.
But I will spare/save a few of them from being killed by swords and from dying from famines or plagues, with the result that in the nations to which they are forced to go, they will realize/admit that they have been doing disgusting things, and they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”
17 Puis la parole de l'Eternel me fut [adressée], en disant:
Then Yahweh gave me another message. [He said, ]
18 Fils d'homme, mange ton pain dans l'agitation, et bois ton eau en tremblant et avec inquiétude.
“You human, tremble while you eat your food, and shudder fearfully while you drink your water.
19 Puis tu diras au peuple du pays: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel touchant les habitants de Jérusalem, à la terre d'Israël: ils mangeront leur pain avec chagrin, et ils boiront leur eau avec frayeur, parce que son pays sera désolé, étant privé de son abondance, à cause de la violence de tous ceux qui y habitent.
Tell [this to] the Israeli people: 'This is what Yahweh the Lord says about those who are [still] living in Jerusalem and [other places in] Israel: They also will be very anxious/worried [DOU] while they eat their food and drink their water, because their country will [soon] have everything taken away. That will happen because the people who live there [continually] act [very] violently.
20 Et les villes peuplées seront désertes, et le pays ne sera que désolation; et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.
The towns where people live will be devastated, and the land will become barren/empty. Then you people will know that it is I, Yahweh, [who have the power to do what I say that I will do].'”
21 La parole de l'Eternel me fut encore [adressée], en disant:
Yahweh gave me another message. [He said, ]
22 Fils d'homme, quel est ce proverbe dont vous usez touchant la terre d'Israël, en disant: les jours seront prolongés, et toute vision périra?
“You human, the people in Israel have this proverb/saying: ‘The days pass, and [the prophets] predict never happens.’
23 C'est pourquoi dis-leur: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel, je ferai cesser ce proverbe, et on ne s'en servira plus pour proverbe en Israël; et dis-leur: les jours, et la parole de toute vision sont proches.
So say to them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: I am going to prove that (what they say/that proverb) is not correct, and then they will never say that again in Israel.’ Tell them, ‘It will soon be the time when everything that the prophets have predicted will happen.
24 Car il n'y aura plus désormais aucune vision de vanité, ni aucune divination de flatteur, au milieu de la maison d'Israël.
No longer [false prophets tell] to the Israeli people false visions, or prophecies that try to please people.
25 Car moi l'Eternel, je parlerai, et la parole que j'aurai prononcée sera mise en exécution, elle ne sera plus différée; mais, ô maison rebelle! je prononcerai en vos jours la parole, et je l'exécuterai, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel.
Instead, I, Yahweh, will say what I want to tell the people, and what I predict will quickly happen. You rebellious people, I will cause to happen everything that I say will happen. [That is what I, ] Yahweh the Lord, say.’”
26 La parole de l'Eternel me fut encore [adressée], en disant:
Yahweh also gave me this message:
27 Fils d'homme, voici, ceux de la maison d'Israël disent: la vision que celui-ci voit n'arrivera pas de longtemps, et il prophétise pour des temps qui sont encore éloignés.
“You human, the Israeli people are [constantly] saying [about you], ‘The things that he sees in [will not happen soon]. They are [things that will happen] many years from now, far in the future.’
28 C'est pourquoi dis-leur: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: aucune de mes paroles ne sera plus différée, mais la parole que j'aurai prononcée sera exécutée [incessamment], dit le Seigneur l'Eternel.
Therefore say to them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord [DOU] says: I will no longer [causing to happen] any of the things that I have prophesied. Whatever I have predicted [very soon] happen.’”
