Ézéchiel 11
1 Puis l'Esprit m'éleva, et me mena à la porte Orientale de la maison de l'Eternel qui regarde vers l'Orient; et voici vingt-cinq hommes à l'entrée de la porte; et je vis au milieu d'eux Jaazanja fils de Hazur, et Pélatja fils de Bénaja, les principaux du peuple.
[Then God’s] Spirit lifted me up and took me to the gate on the east side of the temple area. There at the gate were 25 men. Among them I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, who were leaders of the people.
2 Et il me dit: fils d'homme, ceux-ci sont les hommes qui ont des pensées d'iniquité, et qui donnent un mauvais conseil dans cette ville;
Yahweh said to me, “You human, these are the [new leaders in Jerusalem] who are planning to do evil things and who are giving wicked advice [to people] in this city.
3 En disant: ce n'est pas une chose prête; qu'on bâtisse des maisons; elle est la chaudière, et nous [sommes] la chair.
They say, ‘[Everything will go well for us, so] it will surely soon be [RHQ] time to build houses. [We are like] [MET] fine/choice pieces of meat that are carefully stored in covered pots, and we are protected [from the bad things that will happen to others].’
4 C'est pourquoi prophétise contre eux, prophétise, fils d'homme.
So, you human, prophesy [the terrible things that will happen to] them.”
5 L'Esprit donc de l'Eternel tomba sur moi, et me dit: parle. Ainsi a dit l'Eternel: vous parlez ainsi, maison d'Israël, et je connais toutes les pensées de votre esprit.
Then the Spirit of Yahweh came upon me and told me to [to the people], “This is what Yahweh says: You Israeli people [MTY] are saying those things, but I know what you are thinking.
6 Vous avez multiplié vos gens tués dans cette ville; et vous avez rempli ses rues de gens que vous avez mis à mort.
You have killed many people in this city and filled the streets with their corpses.
7 C'est pourquoi, ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: les gens que vous avez fait mourir, et que vous avez mis au milieu d'elle, sont la chair, et elle est la chaudière, mais je vous tirerai hors du milieu d'elle.
Therefore this is what Yahweh the Lord says: The corpses of the people whom you have killed here are [like] the meat [MET], and this city is [like] the pot [MET], but I will expel you from this city.
8 Vous avez eu peur de l'épée, mais je ferai venir l'épée sur vous, dit le Seigneur l'Etemel.
You are afraid [being killed by enemies’] swords, and that is what I will cause to happen to you.
9 Et je vous tirerai hors de la ville, je vous livrerai entre les mains des étrangers, et j'exécuterai mes jugements contre vous.
I will expel you from this city and enable foreigners to capture you and punish you.
10 Vous tomberez par l'épée; je vous jugerai dans le pays d'Israël; et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.
They will kill [EUP] you with their swords; you will be punished [right here] in Israel. Then people will realize that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
11 Elle ne vous sera point une chaudière, et vous ne serez point au dedans d'elle comme la chair; je vous jugerai dans le pays d'Israël.
This city will not be [a place were you will be protected like] [MET] meat in a covered pot. I will punish you wherever you are in Israel.
12 Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel; car vous n'avez point marché dans mes statuts, et vous n'avez point suivi mes ordonnances; mais vous avez agi selon les ordonnances des nations qui sont autour de vous.
And you will know that I, Yahweh, [have predicted that would happen], because you have not obeyed my commands and decrees; instead, you have imitated [wicked] behavior [of the people] of the nearby nations.”
13 Or il arriva comme je prophétisais, que Pélatja fils de Bénaja mourut; alors je me prosternai sur mon visage, et je criai à haute voix, et dis: ah! ah! Seigneur Eternel! t'en vas-tu consumer [entièrement] le reste d'Israël?
While I was prophesying that, Pelatiah the son of Benaiah [suddenly] died. Then I prostrated myself on the ground and cried out loudly, “Yahweh my Lord, are you going [similarly] get rid of all the Israeli people who are still alive?”
14 Et la parole de l'Eternel me fut [adressée], en disant:
Then Yahweh gave me this message:
15 Fils d'homme, tes frères, tes frères, les hommes de ta parenté, et tous ceux de la maison d'Israël entièrement [sont ceux] auxquels les habitants de Jérusalem ont dit: éloignez-vous de l'Eternel, la terre nous a été donnée en héritage.
“You human, the people who are still in Jerusalem are talking about you and your own relatives and about all the other people who were (exiled/forced to go to other countries), saying, ‘They [in Babylonia], far from Yahweh. They have left their [here in Israel, so] their property now belongs to us!’”
16 C'est pourquoi dis-leur: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: quoique je les aie éloignés entre les nations, et que je les aie dispersés par les pays, je leur ai pourtant été comme un petit Sanctuaire dans les pays auxquels ils sont venus.
So tell [them], “This is what Yahweh the Lord says: Although I caused them to be taken far [from Israel] and scattered them among other nations, for a short time I will (be like a refuge for/protect) them in the countries to which they have been taken.”
17 C'est pourquoi dis-leur: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: aussi je vous recueillerai d'entre les peuples, et je vous rassemblerai des pays auxquels vous avez été dispersés, et je vous donnerai la terre d'Israël.
So also tell them, “This is what Yahweh the Lord says: [Some day] I will gather you from the [to which you have been taken] and bring you back to Israel, and you will live in your country/land [again].
18 Et ils y entreront, et ôteront hors d'elle toutes ses infamies, et toutes ses abominations.
When you return to your country, you will get rid of all the vile statues of gods and detestable idols.
19 Et je ferai qu'ils n'auront qu'un cœur, et je mettrai au dedans d'eux un esprit nouveau; j'ôterai le cœur de pierre hors de leur chair, et je leur donnerai un cœur de chair.
I will put a new way of thinking [IDM] within you. I will cause you to no longer be stubborn [IDM], and I will enable you to obey me completely [IDM].
20 Afin qu'ils marchent dans mes statuts; qu'ils gardent mes ordonnances, et qu'ils les fassent; et ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu.
When I do that, you will carefully obey all my laws [DOU]. You will be my people, and I will be your God.
21 Mais quant à ceux dont le cœur va après le désir de leurs infamies et de leurs abominations, quant à ceux-là, je ferai tomber sur leur tête les peines que mérite leur conduite, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel.
But as for those who are devoted [worshiping] their vile statues and detestable idols, I will punish them as they deserve for the evil things that they have done.’”
22 Puis les Chérubins élevèrent leurs ailes, et les roues qui étaient vis-à-vis d'eux [s'élevèrent aussi], et la gloire aussi du Dieu d'Israël qui était sur eux par dessus.
Then the winged creatures, with their wheels beside them, spread their [and flew up into the air], and the dazzling brightness of Yahweh was above them.
23 Et la gloire de l'Eternel s'éleva du milieu de la ville, et s'arrêta sur la montagne qui est à l'Orient de la ville.
That light went up away from the city and stopped above the mountain to the east of the city.
24 Puis l'Esprit m'enleva, et me transporta en Caldée, vers ceux qui avaient été emmenés captifs, [le tout] en vision par l'Esprit de Dieu. Et la vision que j'avais vue disparut de devant moi.
In the vision [that I had been seeing, God’s] Spirit lifted me up and brought me [back] to the (exiles in/people who had been forced to go to) Babylonia. Then the vision ended,
25 Alors je dis à ceux qui avaient été emmenés captifs toutes les choses que l'Eternel m'avait fait voir.
and I told the exiles everything that Yahweh had shown [in the vision].
